I have seen your question regarding The Venue and I just wanted to say that I have attended the concert of "The year that grunge broke " previously at the Venue in Athlone town .
I attended the concert with friends on the night and the concert lasted two hours.

22/08/2026: Popped in for lunch and was served by a friendly young lady. Food was cooked fresh and took around 9 minutes. I ordered a snack box and brought it back to work. It turned out to be roast chicken and chips rather than the southern-fried chicken I expected, but it was absolutely lovely. Very tasty and great value.
Overall, very happy with my purchase.

27/08/2025: What a wonderful place to stop on the Dublin ~ Galway ~ Dublin run. Really convenient for on and off the motorway too.
An amazing toasted sandwich with a big mug of tea for just over €8 ! Staff very friendly and chatty, premises scrupulously clean. A few small tables and chairs outside, ideal for people watching on Moate's fascinating main street. Looks like it's popular with local schoolgoers too, always a good sign.
