The best restaurants in Westmeath

24/06/2024: You know those days when you really fancy some fish and chips? I had to scratch that itch and I really wanted to treat myself. Without naming names I went to a couple of takeaways beforehand and they didn't have fish on the menu, but Mister Pizza saved the day. I thought that their fish and chips was good value at €10 as you get two whole fillets of fish plus a generous portion of thick cut chips. The fish batter was nice and crunchy and the chips were perfectly cooked. I only had to wait about 10 minutes and everything was cooked fresh. I even shared a small bit of the fish with my dog when I got home and he appreciated it!

27/11/2024: I stayed at the Radisson Blu for 11 nights for work and so visited the Restaurant every morning for breakfast. The ladies running the bistro did everything they could day in and day out to make sure it was always the best experience. The food is great and most importantly the staff really gave us the best start to the day! Definitely pay them a visit! :)

21/01/2025: Bit disappointed, I ordered from the copper spice and arrived and it’s closed up? You get your Indian from Apache pizza. Buttered chicken was watery with dry chicken. We also got a burger meal from apache which was good. It’s okay but if you’re looking for a good Indian don’t bother.

13/06/2024: The owner and workers were really sweet! We’re from out of town and stopped here across from our hotel and we truly enjoyed it, the sushi rolls were so big! I wish we could eat here all the time! The only reason we spent more was because we had more people, but it was very reasonably priced!

28/05/2024: the best place for sushi in mullingar i go here all the time. the service is always great and the sushi is always fresh, have never been disappointed. also great prices i can get so much and don’t have to spend too much money. would highly highly recommend!!!

04/10/2024: Great little gem we found 6 weeks ago. Have eaten here 5 times now and have not got a bad bit of food from it yet eating several different dishes. It really is a must try

It was obvious from my observation that the hot food side of business appears not that professional as the oil seemed not hot enough for the batter or the batter not made correctly...either or but something seemed off when it was added to oil. Cod itself nice but again expected more crispy flavour from batter but tasted off and not thin and crispy and not what I was expecting . Wouldn't be going back here again for hot food but hopefully raw wild salmon fillet for €37 that i purchased is nice when cooked to my taste.. Overall experience is poor as it has just reinforced my opinion you only get the best fish and chips along the coast of ireland from qualified chefs knowing what they are doing and this shop trying to combine both selling raw and hot food doesn't work in my opinion.
