28/12/2024: Caveat: This review is "ONLY" about the 🐥 wings in this place. The wings are H O R R I B L E. Never seen wings cooked and dumped in some weird fluid. I honestly think wings should be the safest stuff from a food outlet as salt alone + deep frying gets it done. This is the worst wings in my 20 years in Ireland, it was INDEED awful 😞. Please take this off your menu.

Here the chef Christmas’s passing stag menu:
1kg of mash potatoes
1/2 kg of mixed veggies
A chicken breast WWII’s survivor.
Have your next Christmas menu at the 1st platoon artillery division. It will cost you less and the atmosphere and food much more joyful.
Tourists you’re better off to have avoided this silly country.

A chicken breast which probably was as its retirement .
No wonder why there’s less and less tourists

19/01/2025: Absolutely horrible service from here as a local was disgusted with the lack of respect. Firstly, driver arrived and requested extra money for the garlic dip for the pizza. Said fine, got the money and then realised there was no drink, while food was also lukewarm with the meat on the pizza a concerning colour as well as softness for “crispy bacon”. Then rang the shop to let them know they forgot the drink, where they were too busy taking to one another, finally got their attention to be told they left out the drink because the offer is only for weekdays. I asked them why would they have the offer available on the website if it was only for midweek and why would they not have rang to inform me of this rather then purposefully leaving out items that were ordered. This was ignored, no apology, no explanation. Not to forget there was about 10 chips in a large portion.
14/09/2024: Downsizing. U pay for large kebab and receive a half smaller than was. It's tricky to fill pita mostly with lettuce, onion and...Air..very small amount of meat. Definitely not gonna back.

TUS: Midlands (Athlone) Campus Restaurant

28/11/2024: Food was healthy, affordable and consistent while I was a student here. I liked that the menu was different everyday and it was always warm.
Some of the staff were very nice. Hopefully everyone is doing well.

30/11/2024: Quite decent place to go out for a drink. Only if security wasn’t the most rude people I’ve ever seen and you were able to drink on the fking dancefloor I would definitely go here again. Honestly don’t come here unless you don’t have any other options.

31/01/2025: What a place, service is unreal, its like growing up, you get what you get amd don't get upset, chicken means beef, salt means salt and vinger and separate bags, ha, I'm still laughing, but all over all its an expensive experience that you should avoid.
Overall enjoy.

08/02/2025: Great food in a beautiful oldstyle pub, welcoming, friendly staff and locals and a blazing fire on a cold day.
The chowder was delicious as was the brown bread and the calamari and prawns were as good as I have ever had.
02/02/2025: Went to Grogans today, was told we would have to wait about half hour for a table, tgat was absolutely fine, I decided to go to the bar for drinks, there was a couple of servers behind the bar, the guy who told us we would have to wait a half hour appeared to be a manager or head waiter, he went in behind the bar, he completely ignored me standing there, they left me standing there for approx 10 min, the place was not even busy, a lady who I believe owns the business asked me was I alright, I replied I am trying to order drinks, she replied some of the lads will help you, now if she had a manner she would have said sorry ill get someone to help you,but no she went to a table and started talking to people while I was still been ignored, they have absolutely no manner, it's a rough establishment, where custom is doesn't appear to be appreciated, food is expensive and from what I seen portions are small, we are local and will never set foot in this kipof a place again.
