09/08/2026: Ordered the “fresh fish” and chips. What arrived was a thin, pale fillet that looked and tasted exactly like a supermarket frozen one, buried under a thick layer of heavy batter. Barely any actual fish. If you’re going to charge takeaway prices and advertise it as fresh, at least make it better than the boxed stuff from Iceland. Proper disappointment.

13/03/2026: We ordered a large donner kebab with pita bread, salad, chips and hot chilli sauce. Nothing was good. No pitta bread, no hot chilli sauce and the chips were so dry - not edible, l won't be buying from them again!

28/07/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience. The chicken we had yesterday was clearly not fresh. It tasted bad, smelled bad, and from the photo we’re sharing, you can see it didn’t look right either. We had originally planned to dine in, but the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were hit by a strong grease trap smell that immediately put us off. Unfortunately, the quality of the food matched our first impression. The chicken had an unpleasant odour and an off taste, making it impossible to enjoy the meal. We couldn’t finish it because we were genuinely concerned about the freshness. We hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously by improving food quality, freshness, and cleanliness. No customer should have to experience food that smells and tastes like it has gone bad.

04/06/2026: This place is joke you go for the chicken breast box so you would have boneless chicken they give you chicken thighs with bone 🤦🏻‍♂️

06/06/2026: The Fish Market in Mullingar is a fantastic fishmonger and takeaway with an excellent range of fresh fish on display. The hot food offering is equally impressive, and the scampi is a personal favourite—consistently delicious and never disappointing. It is also very convenient that delivery is available, making it an easy and reliable choice for a great quality seafood treat.

25/08/2026: I usually go here when I am visiting the shopping centre. Plus side good prices x d the food is usually good quality. I was there on Monday for breakfast. Small fry included tea and toast for 11.50. The price is similar to other places but the fry was awful so greasy I had hobget done napkins to try up foxk come up but even with that I just managed the egg and sausage. I will not be having that again, at least not there. Disappointed. Up side, quick and friendly service.

24/08/2026: i purchased a birthday cake here and when we tried it at home it was very stale, 100% not fresh. tasted very weird and even gave a friend some stomach issues.

22/05/2026: I dont like giving bad reviews I tend to focus on the positive but this is so important because the food in this chipper was outstanding. It's sad to see the decline in quality taste and freshness. We were starving and ordered a fresh cod chips , steak and kidney pie, curry cheese chips chicken thigh. Lady serving very efficient and friendly. The man was working away too not welcoming but that's ok. Paid €27.90 and ate very little. Unfortunately the fresh cod was rubbery and it bent like rubber as I tried to break it. It was tasteless. The batter wouldn't break and it tasted overdone. So very disappointed. My partner said this means the fish was blanched. I tried to bite into the fish and batter wouldn't give way. How sad is that if chipper cannot give great fish? People just love fish n chips. Unfortunately the curry cheese chips were so disappointing. I thought I was seeing things when I saw the server open an orange easi single! Thought it was a figment of my imagination. But no chips with rubbery melted singles on it and tiny bit of grated thrown over it. Hardly any curry sauce which tasted pleasant. Steak and kidney pie was completely raw on base I mashed it between my fingers and it was like making bread with flour when kneading. Completely gooey and white. Sides of top of pie were cooked lightly. Pie was microwaved for 15 seconds and was stone cold. There was no steak and no kidney just mush. The chicken thigh was excellent very tasty and piping hot and the plain chips were excellent. I understand there is a cost of living crisis and we are all trying to make ends meet but please if you own a business take pride. €27.80 is not to be sniffed at. Please don't lower standards of food. Fish should fall apart and batter should be crispy. Easi singles on chips are a no go! I understand perhaps you are trying to stretch the grated cheese but we are paying good money for tasty fresh quality takeaway food. This isn't acceptable and it's unfair. Take pride and lift standards back up now. Perhaps look at prices of items on your menu and raise price of some of them? You do have good meal deals so raise by €1 per meal? There are ways and means but sacrificing the quality of your food isn't one! Not an option. People will give you a chance and support local business and jobs if you take note and make the necessary changes now. I took photos and videos and will post later. Hopefully you read reviews and get back to the standard you were years ago. Best of luck ty

29/05/2026: First time at this place , I bought a mint chocolate bomb chiller. It was the best pick for me on the hot day very refreshing, just as the name says. The staff was kind sweet spoken and did her job well.
