05/12/2025: Great course, tough test. Very reasonably priced.

27/08/2025: The course was grand, not great but not the worst. Strange layout, especially when it came to holes 7-9. From viewing the tee times online it appeared to be pretty free, so we were looking forward to enjoying a comfortable round. When we got down there it was jammed. Waiting to tee off on every hole, having to play through, the worst experience I've ever had with slow play and a lot of reluctance from groups ahead to let quicker players play through. There was also a lot of teenagers there. Appeared as if they just walked in without booking. Meet the same groups all over the course. Basically they were just chopping and changing to whatever hole they wanted to play?? We then got held up AGAIN on a par 5 by a lady (assume she is a member) who looked to practicing with multiple balls around the green. After waiting and seeing no sign off her to move on, our frustration got the better off us so we decided to hit in to her as we knew at this stage we wouldn't be returning. I'd recommend they employ a course ranger for a while at least, to eliminate slow play and walk ons. We didn't even finish the last 2 holes as when we were finishing on 16 we saw the same group yet again sitting down in the 17 tee box. Great to see youth in the club, but this free for all approache is simply not good enough. They need to be educated and adhere to the rules like everyone else.

30/08/2025: Great place for a breakfast, staff are excellent

23/08/2025: Just want to note the cost has got out of control. Eur17.50 for kids breakfast of Nutella crepes and a side of bacon. Excessive and unfortunately has become unaffordable to be able to go with any regularity.

19/10/2025: Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience at Silver Oak in Mullingar. The customer service was awful – not because of the waitresses, who were polite and friendly, but because of the man standing behind the counter (I think it was the takeaway section). When we entered, he rudely waved his hand at us to move further inside, without a word. A nice waitress then approached us and led us to a small table in the corner. We had sat there before and knew it was very uncomfortable, so since there was only one other group in the restaurant, we politely asked if we could sit at another table. After a moment’s thought, the waitress agreed. However, as soon as we sat down, that same man rushed over — a rather rude, balding man of Indian appearance — and asked sharply how many people we were. When we said “two”, he pointed at the small corner table and said, “That one. This is a table for four, that one is for two.” I asked again if we could sit at the bigger table, and he repeated the same thing in a very unpleasant tone. We decided to leave. Just a few steps away, we went into another restaurant where the difference in attitude was striking — the waitress greeted us with a big smile and said we could sit anywhere we liked. It was supposed to be a belated birthday dinner for my friend, whom I rarely see, and this experience really spoiled the evening for me. I definitely won’t be going back to Silver Oak again — thankfully, Mullingar has plenty of much friendlier places to choose from.

23/11/2025: Had a terrible experience with the short security guard here — incredibly rude, unprofessional, and went out of his way to make the visit unpleasant. Completely unacceptable behavior and definitely needs better training in basic respect.

19/09/2025: Ordered a doner kebab, it was small, meat not fresh, for this price you get twice as much in other take ways. I still can not get rid of this nasty after taste, avoid buying kebabs there.

06/08/2025: Prince of Wales hotel is closed. Don't even attempt to stay there

07/12/2025: The restaurant is fine, but the problem is that there was only one person to serve all the tables, and clearly they couldn't manage to attend to them all. It's not their fault, though, as they were doing the best they could.

31/08/2025: Have been here many times and could never fault them until now. 45minutes waiting for a rare steak and salmon one couple was finished eating when we arrived. Another couple came in after us and had the starter & mains before we got ours. Very disappointing won’t be back for a long time

20/12/2025: I consistently go to this place for over a year now. The sweets and cakes are always good and the coffee is consistent. But it is the staff that makes this place shine. I never had a bad experience and the staff seems to really want you to have the best time while in the store. They are all friendly and polite!

28/09/2025: I always visit O'Brien's in Athlone Town Center when in Athlone. The sandwiches are always beautifully made with high quality ingredients. The coffee is great too. This is the best O'Brien's I have been to, always so clean, from the food display to the clearing of the tables. I have always found a clean table to sit at and always enjoy my food. But most of all the staff are amazing, so friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble for them. At this point they remember my regular order, goats cheese sandwich on gluten free bread with an Americano, I don't even have to ask anymore 😆 well done to the hard working staff.

07/06/2025: I dont usually leave bad reviews but feel like i have to this time!! Im a regular here for takeaway coffee but we decided to sit inside and enjoy a coffee. To my digust a woman with 2 dogs came into the shop and proceeded to sit down and let her 2 dogs sit up on the table and then let them drink from the small jug of milk on the table!! Totally disgusting and both staff seen this whilst passing her and said nothing. I have no problem with dogs in a shop but up on tables that people are eating and drinking from and then letting the dogs drink out of the jugs and cups, says alot about the hygiene of this place! We wont be coming back here again, we dont usually sit in as the place isnt the cleanest and tiolets filthy but this experience has sealed the deal for me and wont be back even for takeaway coffee!

12/10/2025: Hands down, the best Subway Sandwich quality I've had in Ireland. I am a frequent hopper to many Subway branches all over Ireland, from Dublin, Galway, Cork. Eric has never let me down, always excited to visit this Subway branch for the food quality. Eric makes the cleanest Subway Sandwiches I've ever had in Ireland.
