09/07/2025: Ordered chicken Pizza with only smell of chicken in it. That costs 21 euros

28/06/2025: Nice place and staff. The only thing is there are no Halal options apart from Vegetarian pizza.

19/06/2025: Doesn't even warrent one star. Stay clear of this place , especially if you have kids . Not a child friendly place , my 3 year old son was crying today as he had hurt his leg and the owner guy told us we were too loud and to go sit outside 😂 never seen ignorance like it for a business man . Well able to take our money though. Thankfully the other staff were nice and friendly , although I pity them having to work for him

11/06/2025: Came here with my little one for a bite to eat . We loved it and would defo recommend for anyone who is looking for something light quick and tasty . We got the house special sambo and sausage roll. Was lovely.

02/07/2025: I had a great meal there with my friend. Food was excellent and very well presented and service was brilliant. Highly recommend for dinner there

14/06/2025: The water tasted like chlorine. The lamb was practically raw — impossible to chew and even harder to cut. When we mentioned it to the waiter, there wasn’t even an apology. For a place that charges high-end prices and tries to present itself as upscale, this was incredibly disappointing. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

29/04/2025: The staff (Athlone) changed the awful music when I asked them to do that. They were courteous and had a customer focus. This is the first time to encounter such good manner in Athlone.

02/05/2025: Excellent Italian cooking by a chef who seems to do everything alone and without even breaking a sweat. Gorgeous, perfectly cooked pasta dishes and delicious starters too.

28/01/2025: Wonderful hotel with AMAZING staff. A group of us had a wonderful stay in The Price of Wales to celebrate mid-term and meeting up after covid. We had a beautiful lunch with wonderful service from an amazing lady, we had such much fun and laughs over lunch. Later, we had a beautiful evening meal in the bar followed by cocktails. The young man working the night shift warmly welcomed us back after a few hours hanging out in the local bars. He was so friendly and helpful despite the late hour. Rooms were spotlessly clean. The shower and coffee machine were both brand new. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central location,free parking, amazing staff. We will return. Thank you all Monica & Co

22/12/2024: We went to the Prince of Wales Hotel in downtown Niagara-On-The-Lake specifically for High Tea. We have been to many high teas in different towns and cities. The one here has to be the absolute worst!!!The smoked salmon sandwiches (not a traditional high tea sandwich) were served on stale white bread!! Actually, all the breads were not fresh, including the egg-filled croissants. The scones were dry and tasteless. I discovered a dark hair in mine so I sent it back. Apologies were given but it didn't reflect any changes to our bill, which was $55/per person. When my niece made the reservation she said that 2 of us were celebrating our birthdays. Birthday wishes were not mentioned by the server. Nothing. Shame on Prince of Wales Hotel for serving inferior high tea at a very high price.

24/06/2025: Nice private outdoor seating ranging from tables of 4/6 to table of 2. Myself and my partner got a nice little table for 2 outdoors. It was lovely and intimate as we were facing each other. It was a beautiful evening. Nice quiet atmosphere. Cocktails were fantastic. The staff are amazing at their job. The manager an absolute gentleman. Customer service 10/10. Great deal on the ‘cocktail tree’ for €45 where you get 6 cocktails from a designated cocktail menu. Individual cocktail price is €9, so it’s worth it. We really enjoyed our evening and would 100% recommend.

22/06/2025: Nice place for food and cocktails but definitely on the pricer side. Food was been a bit hit and miss the last time I was there, so hopefully they will sort out whatever is going on in the kitchen.

16/06/2025: Used to love good food but recently there has been no seasoning on the chips or spice boxes. Needs to improve before I would go back.

26/06/2025: Not great coffee was cold breakfast was a fry with lettuce and it was also cold very disappointed

10/04/2025: Try their buffalo chicken pitta -soooo good and very filling - great lunch at a fair price. Also we tried an acai bowl with strawberries, banana and blueberries - gorgeous healthy breakfast.

09/06/2025: Food is nice have had few sandwiches and always happy. Staff don’t ever seem happy no real athmosphere. Busy at lunchtime hard to get a seat sometimes.

23/02/2025: I was waiting for the food almost 2hours. After many calls, they called me back and told driver delivered the food at another house. They were laughing. They made another fresh food but service and customer care was terrible!

05/07/2025: Pannini was €9.80 and was one of the worse I've ever had absolutely rancid. Can of coke €3.50 I mean that ain't a 5 star restaurant learn how to cook quality food for the love of god... As you can see from picture it was extremely greasy. Food was repeating on me all day.
