27/05/2026: I ordered chicken and chips, but instead I was given a completely different curry dish from what I had requested. I understand that mistakes can happen, but it was very disappointing, especially because it was a takeaway and I only noticed once I got home. Service needs improvement.

05/09/2026: Love this pub , and the staff are very friendly And of course my old mate Val the owner, what a ledgend be careful you could end up buying more than drink, Val could sell you tools , machines ect ect 🤣🤣

04/10/2026: Missing items and incorrect order I am very disappointed with my recent KFC order. I was charged extra for Loaded Chips, but received regular chips instead. I paid an additional €6 and, instead of the Loaded Chips, I was given only one extra small portion of regular chips. I also ordered Chicken Wings, but received only the flat parts of the wings. The Chicken Popcorn was out of stock, so I was offered Chicken Goujons instead. I received only two small goujons. I spoke to the manager and explained that this was not a fair replacement. I asked if I could receive one more goujon, but she refused. I paid almost €70 for this order, and I honestly feel that I was completely ripped off. This was my last visit to KFC. I expected much better service and value for the amount of money I spent.

23/09/2026: Under portioned Large Fries (the difference between large and regular nisnrhe bag, not the quantity...) Gravy was MOLTEN hot, doubt that's the standard. Fries are normal tepid temperature-still you'll warm them.up in the gravy. If the touch order screen had receipt roll I'd have typed all this in the customer survey

02/08/2026: Was craving a frozen yogurt and Jump was my option. I asked for strawberry and granola toppings and I got a whole cup of frozen yogurt with ONE small strawberry cut in 6 pieces and half a spoon of granola… Usually a frozen yogurt is full of toppings, that’s the whole point… but oh well.

05/07/2026: After being a customer of this takeaway since it opened years ago, I will never be ordering again. I overlooked years of incorrect orders, forgotten orders and late deliveries because I'm fairly patient. But this was the last straw as I do not tolerate being disrespected. I ordered a chicken tikka for €17, a dish I have eaten many times, what arrived was not what was described on the listing. It had a handful of extra ingredients (some of which would have counted as allergens and were not listed anywhere) and was unbearably spicy. When we rang thinking we had been given the wrong order, the man who answered said he would ring back, we waited and he didn't. Rang again and were spoken to like pure dirt. The man was so rude while telling us we got exactly what we ordered. I would not have ordered it if they had the right description on their own menu! He then told us we should have ordered a *different* chicken tikka item from a different section of the menu, when my real issue was being given a dish with a plethora of extra ingredients I didn't want. He told us he would only change it if we brought it back to them or paid delivery again. This is how loyal custom is rewarded. We will never be back.

04/09/2026: Man, I went in all dandy and sweet, yeah, and I ordered my food on the screen things, and it was for takeaway. I think I was waiting like ten mins. I said it to one of the old lads working there, idk his name, but I’ll describe him. He was maybe late 30s and he was small and hefty, not trying to be mean and had a Yankee with all brim. Legit was missing almost the whole back of the hat. He says to me, “It’ll come up on the screen when it’s ready. Oh, it doesn’t seem to be on the screen. That happens sometimes. Wait two minutes.” 10 minutes passed still nothing. This guy seen me stood there like seven times didn’t say a thing, so finally, a lovely young lad, Jack, came and helped me and two other people that also had the same issue. He got it sorted very fast, but unfortunately, the food was a bit cold. So all in all waited 25 ish mins for 20 nuggets and double cheeseburger meal (yes it was all for me and devoured it all)

01/09/2026: Very rude staff. We were still eating our meal when they kicked us out because they needed the space. Also, the balding man was extremely rude and unpleasant.

11/08/2026: Two managers standing behind the till. General employee running back and forward filing the orders while they supervise. I asked for a cloth to clean down a table, they look at each other then tell employee doing all the work to clean the table... And then when my order is ready they call the girl back off the floor to deliver my food.... Two managers still standing there.... Crazy!!! Felt embarrassed for the girl

24/05/2026: The shop offers all kinds of different food items, as well as a halal butcher, and very delicious chicken and beef sausages, and also gorgeous flavored burgers , thanks

24/05/2026: Was recommended to come here as I like a lot of cuisines that they stock original food for. Got beef and chicken sausages and burgers made in house, very tasty. Owner and staff were genuine, chatty and helpful. Will be going back for more food treasures

19/06/2026: Best pizza in Athlone by far. Dont be fooled by the new pizza place just opened in Tormey villas who have chosen the name Roma’s. It’s not nearly as good.

01/06/2026: Whatever you do don’t go, awful costumer service over charged me. I ordered a can of Coke and they made sure I paid but they never gave me the can. The pizzas dough was literally raw falling apart. Don’t go

15/06/2026: Got a junior box the chips must have been cooked since yesterday and reheated plus they were cold the chicken breast was that bad I wouldn’t even give it to the dog there was a double bacon burger with cheese got aswell it was burnt and cold all the food was thrown in the bin

09/08/2026: NOT ITALIAN AT ALL!! This place is the best example of fake Italian food. The pizzas are nothing like authentic Italian pizza — not Neapolitan, not Roman, not anything remotely close. They charge €13 for a pizza that is stretched using a machine, which, as an Italian, I found extremely disappointing and disrespectful to the tradition. For my first course, I ordered the Polpette alla Pavarotti. The waitress wrote it down as “meatballs”, which is completely wrong because it is not the same dish at all and the recipe is entirely different. The preparation, ingredients, and even the concept do not match what is commonly understood as meatballs. When another member of staff brought the dish, he also referred to it as “meatballs,” which only reinforced how disconnected they are from the actual Italian name and traditional preparation. The sauce was watery and heavily seasoned with spices that tasted much more like Middle Eastern or Indian cuisine than Italian food. In fact, almost every dish we tried had flavors that reminded us more of Indian food than Italian cuisine. We obviously decided not to order dessert, as we didn't want to risk it again. The total bill for four people was around €100, which made the experience even more disappointing. In the end, it felt like a complete waste of both time and money. 02/06/2026: Went in tonight to pick pick up friends because I wouldn't eat there if it was free. Disgusting food. But because I wasn't eating there and both friends were I was asked to leave . All 3 of us left then happily. Discusting place with obnoxious staff . Match made in heaven .
