28/01/2025: Wonderful hotel with AMAZING staff. A group of us had a wonderful stay in The Price of Wales to celebrate mid-term and meeting up after covid. We had a beautiful lunch with wonderful service from an amazing lady, we had such much fun and laughs over lunch. Later, we had a beautiful evening meal in the bar followed by cocktails. The young man working the night shift warmly welcomed us back after a few hours hanging out in the local bars. He was so friendly and helpful despite the late hour. Rooms were spotlessly clean. The shower and coffee machine were both brand new. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central location,free parking, amazing staff. We will return. Thank you all Monica & Co

22/12/2024: We went to the Prince of Wales Hotel in downtown Niagara-On-The-Lake specifically for High Tea. We have been to many high teas in different towns and cities. The one here has to be the absolute worst!!!The smoked salmon sandwiches (not a traditional high tea sandwich) were served on stale white bread!! Actually, all the breads were not fresh, including the egg-filled croissants. The scones were dry and tasteless. I discovered a dark hair in mine so I sent it back. Apologies were given but it didn't reflect any changes to our bill, which was $55/per person. When my niece made the reservation she said that 2 of us were celebrating our birthdays. Birthday wishes were not mentioned by the server. Nothing. Shame on Prince of Wales Hotel for serving inferior high tea at a very high price.

10/04/2025: Try their buffalo chicken pitta -soooo good and very filling - great lunch at a fair price. Also we tried an acai bowl with strawberries, banana and blueberries - gorgeous healthy breakfast.

28/04/2025: We were a group of 9 diners on Saturday night and the best word I can use to describe our experience is DISASTER. We arrived for our 8pm reservation, and our starters did not start arriving until almost 9.30pm. We waited over an hour for 1 cocktail. We had 2 heavily pregnant diners, and everything was taking so long that we had to order bread as they were incredibly hungry. When the mains eventually arrived at almost 10pm, my meal was lukewarm. Throughout the dinner, the servers apologised multiple times for our bad experience. When we were finished I approached the server who stated she was in charge to try and come to a friendly and easy resolution. The server in charge offered for us to have the cocktail complimentary, which I refused. She then stated she would have to discuss our bill with the chef. She then returned to say the chef had offered us a 5% discount but only if we paid in cash, what an absolute joke! We declined this offer and asked to speak to the chef (we were told the chef was the owner). The chef had magically gone home in the 2 minutes that had just passed. The server then said that they would give us a discount however the discount would come out of their tips, which in hindsight I believe was a very unprofessional way to try make us feel bad. We declined this offer and paid full price for a completely disappointing and unsatisfactory experience.

26/04/2025: Typically Dominiks is a relaxing tasty treat but yesterday's visit was made quite difficult by the lack of knowledge, unnecessary commentary and poor service provided by front of house staff. Upon arriving to pre-booked table we we're waiting approximately 40 minutes before order was taken, at which come the waitress expressed we were sitting there like idiots, the waitress was young so we took it that perhaps she had misworded what she meant to say and let it pass. However, it was a further 25 minutes before we received our starters and at that stage we hadn't received the bottle of wine we ordered and when we requested this again, the waitress returned to the table twice to find out which wine we had ordered and still proceeded to delay. We had to request steak steak knives three times to which another waitress commented. She didn't understand what we were looking for or what we had said. Steaks were requested blue but were delivered med-rare at best. After starters we requested a fresh bottle of water, which was repeatedly requested throughout the main course, and not delivered until almost end of meal. Food was quite tasty and we were not out to complain so we enjoyed our meal, When our plates were cleared away we were offered a desserts menu to which we all answered. Yes please as one particular member of our table was looking forward to desert, 25 minutes later and after a second request for the menu which was never brought. We decided it was time to call it an evening. I have worked in service myself many years ago so I understand the trials and tribulations and had this been a particularly busy evening or short-staffed or even just different kind of complaints I would perhaps try to understand, But the restaurant was not particularly busy and it seemed like none of the staff were particularly interested or capable. Upon payment of Bill which was brought quite quickly, the waitress asked how was everything, although we wanted to give feedback but not to be stressful we started to respond that the service was slow to which the waitress replied with an apology about the chef. However, the food was tasty and brought in a decent amount of time. It was the rest of the service that was the issue. It was clear the Waitress did not listen to what we said, Gave an insincere apology and left the table. I really enjoy visiting Dominic's and have done so throughout the years so hopefully service will pick up.

12/05/2025: We had lunch in the Marina Club. Love the ambiance. I recently stayed in a family suite, and my experience was quite disappointing. First, the in-room TV is extremely limited and outdated—it doesn't even support YouTube or Netflix, which is a basic expectation these days. Secondly, the family suite didn’t even have a fridge, which was incredibly inconvenient. On top of that, I returned to my room at 4 PM to find it hadn’t been cleaned. I had to call reception twice before housekeeping finally arrived—over 30 minutes later. When I asked why my room wasn’t cleaned, the housekeeper simply said, "They forgot." That’s completely unacceptable.

11/05/2025: We had a wonderful experience thanks to Michael, who served us during dinner. He was incredibly nice and friendly from the moment we sat down. Michael was also very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. His chatty and warm personality added a personal touch to the evening, making us feel genuinely welcomed. It’s rare to come across someone so naturally engaging and professional — he truly made our dining experience memorable. Thank you, Michael!

15/05/2025: I went with a students’ group, because we wanted to try fish and chips. The food wasn’t good at all, and at the end, they asked for more money as they said we hadn’t paid all. That wasn’t true… Not recommended!

21/04/2025: Great place. Always goes here after show rehersals with the arts centre. Good food and cheep prices. Only bad thing to say is the thousands of chewing gum under the tables.

05/05/2025: Had a night out here recently for a Friday night that was quiet enough. No problem with seating, and the atmosphere was jolly and friendly. At one point, in the night, the volume went right up and stayed up, which was agitating when we were sitting right under the speakers. That's the only reason it didn't get a 5 star.

07/04/2025: Popped in here Sunday night as there was live music advertised. Lovely clean pub. Pints were lovely. Nice atmosphere. 2 staff behind the bar were extremely friendly and polite. Will definitely be back.

04/09/2024: visited Don's for a craft beer festival which was hosted in the beer garden. venue had arranged live music, the beer garden is large with ample seating, access to the bar can be gained easily, and facilities were ample. a food truck was present on the day, which served a few tasty options, including a beef brisket sub which I enjoyed.

15/10/2024: We went as a meat eater and a vegan and we both really enjoyed our meal. Great service and delicious food and as a vegan I had a really tasty platter with a selection of items on it. Fantastic
