The Tack Room

22/12/2024: It's one of my favorite pubs in Athlone. I love an interior here and how the stuff are friendly. Also, it's a comfortable and good place to spend some evening winter weekend with a fireplace.
11/11/2024: Great place, to meet friends, make new friends, or just go for a game of pool.

04/05/2025: Very poor delivery times. Ordered online and it took 2 hours to deliver. I had to ring twice to find out the status of my order and both times was told it would be 10 mins. If I hadn’t of rang they definitely wouldn’t have got in touch. No communication whatsoever from them about my order.
15/01/2025: Unfortunately a bit of a hit & miss. Sometimes the food is lovely, especially their homemade onion rings. But there have been several times in the past that I've been unwell after eating from here.

24/12/2024: got charged 50 euro for 4 shots.. seems a bit outrageous for a very boring nightclub. Staff will their hardest to rip you off even though they make no extra money for it. This place ruins night life for athlone and I hope they can improve in any possible being the only nightclub.

13/06/2024: The owner and workers were really sweet! We’re from out of town and stopped here across from our hotel and we truly enjoyed it, the sushi rolls were so big! I wish we could eat here all the time! The only reason we spent more was because we had more people, but it was very reasonably priced!
28/05/2024: the best place for sushi in mullingar i go here all the time. the service is always great and the sushi is always fresh, have never been disappointed. also great prices i can get so much and don’t have to spend too much money. would highly highly recommend!!!

02/03/2025: I’ve been going to Il Basilico for years - it is by far the best pizza in Ireland! The ingredients are so fresh and the pizza is always 10/10. Also the chips are proper chips, not frozen ones like most of the other pizza places! The staff are always lovely too and the service is so fast! I will continue to travel here as it really is such an amazing pizza!! Highly recommend!

28/04/2025: Food is halal but please ask for yourself they don’t accept card soo please have cash in hand. Food was lovely for the price and portion is good the staff is good atmosphere was really nice the whole place was really busy but food came on time definitely coming back again as their food was fresh and worth the money🥰👍i ordered chicken kabab and lamb kabab🤤you can ask for tap water also there which i did the whole experience was worth it 👍

06/05/2025: Stopped off during a break away for some drinks..they were just opening up on a fantastic sunny day.. barman quickly arranged outdoor seating so we could enjoy our drinks outside... Great staff
24/04/2025: You can have a pizza and a pint for 15€, actually the only pub around who serves food ! We choose it for this fact and we didn’t regret it, even if the ambiance it’s not the same as his neighboor
