02/03/2025: Super fresh, cooked to perfection. The chips are a cheat code - propper chipper chips -- along with top class pizza. Best of a chipper and pizza takeaway together. Can't go wrong.

02/03/2025: I’ve been going to Il Basilico for years - it is by far the best pizza in Ireland! The ingredients are so fresh and the pizza is always 10/10. Also the chips are proper chips, not frozen ones like most of the other pizza places! The staff are always lovely too and the service is so fast! I will continue to travel here as it really is such an amazing pizza!! Highly recommend!

24/12/2024: got charged 50 euro for 4 shots.. seems a bit outrageous for a very boring nightclub. Staff will their hardest to rip you off even though they make no extra money for it. This place ruins night life for athlone and I hope they can improve in any possible being the only nightclub.

22/12/2024: It's one of my favorite pubs in Athlone. I love an interior here and how the stuff are friendly. Also, it's a comfortable and good place to spend some evening winter weekend with a fireplace.

17/03/2025: I booked Maisie’s for a Hen brunch. I had to contact them multiple times to make the booking as no one was replying to my emails. When we arrived the venue was freezing cold, the mop bucket was out and there was no area for us to sit. We were a booking of 25 people and they gave us two very low tables to squeeze around. Despite booking 2 months in advance they were incredibly unprepared. I went to ask the managers what could be done but they spoke to eachother about some options and eventually I walked away because they were no help and our group was standing around waiting. We had no choice but to split up and sit separately. No manager came to speak to us or check on us but the chef did. We couldn’t fault the food it was delicious (although there were a few mistakes which we think was made by the waitress when she took the order). I didn’t think it was right to complain to her as she had done a great job with the food. We ended up leaving straight after eating as there was no atmosphere, the place was freezing cold and we were split up across the room. Although it was a poor start to a hen we moved to The Snug Bar down the road and they were more than accommodating.

08/03/2025: Myself, my husband and our son went to the bridge house today to watch the rugby when we were passing through Mullingar and it was fabulous. There was a great atmosphere for the game, plenty of screens to watch it on and at half time we got complimentary chicken curry with rice and chips and our son got goujons and chips which was a lovely touch.

02/10/2024: Got a steak sandwich meal very well priced and was delicious service was fantastic! Ice coffee and milkshakes are good to would definitely recommend! 👍🏽

11/03/2025: Good Asian street food, sometimes the consistency varies (maybe there's different chefs on different days). Nice tofu options, good variety of veg, nice value and speedy.

05/09/2024: Hard to say. Marked as temporary closed in Maps. Went to check for any notice about it reopening and there was nothing. Looks pretty shut up. If they've shut down for a holiday without leaving any indication then it's on them really. There's a very faded notice in the window with opening times - picture included for what it's worth.

09/02/2025: Usually go to the snug quite often with no issues but last night bouncer on the door was rude, turned away a few of the lads who were aged 22 and up who had a valid driving license id, when asked why they wouldn't accept it bouncer went on a power trip and became rude for no reason. Walked across to Sean's bar after who had no issues and accepted the same id. Defiantly wont be going back

09/01/2025: I visited Silver oak after having ordered the food online to collect a take away. I was very enthusiastic and looking forward to ordering food from their. Whereas, the type of service i recieved cannot be catogerized as any service a person should recieve. From not even being talked to and being ignored after asking for the menue 4 times, i was treated as if i was asking for some free food. I think the whole experience hurt me and saddened me deeply to the point where i questioned each meal i had ordered before from the restaurant. Not understanding the reason for the treatment i recieved from the restaurant i slept hungry having some milk and biscuits. The whole experience hurt me deeply

29/12/2024: The food here is good, just normal North Indian food and South Indian curries but the service and atmosphere is great. Very friendly staff and great ambiance makes the dinner worthwhile and the food is good just not anything extra ordinary. Highly recommend for when you’re in Athlone.
