13/12/2025: The pints are fine and fine are the pints. I popped in to read a book and made some friends along the way. I'm now a full blown alcoholic and I wouldn't change a thing.

13/12/2025: Lovely bar. Spotless. Friendly, polite staff. Well decorated, felt comfortable. Will definitely go there again. Nice smoking area too.

03/04/2026: Came to play with my 1 year old this morning and was very disappointed. Toddler area is very small and not much to do. In need of something else in there such as slide etc. I ordered a kids chicken nugget meal and it was inedible. Chips were freezing cold and nuggets were so overcooked they were rock solid. I don’t expect much from a soft play cafe but it was inedible. Guy at entrance desk was really lovely. Won’t be in a rush to return

29/03/2026: Ordered bacon and cheese fries & boneless hot honey chicken wings. The bacon on the fries was mostly fat and extremely hard/chewy. The hot honey chicken wings came out with buffalo sauce. They were mostly okay.

17/03/2026: Really central hotel, closer to everything. On arrival parking was scarce.. which is a good sign. Check in was smooth and seamless. A lovely cead mile faillte. Had dinner in the Marina, food was really good, great selection and very tasty, drinks menu was very nice too, unfortunately the Bord failte customer service doesn’t extend to the bar, evidently it was a cultural difference, while friendly and helpful, there’s no craic if ya get me. The rooms clean and beds so so comfortable, felt like I was in a cloud… it was so lovely the view from the room was comical… but I’m not complianing… I wasn’t there to be looking out a window!! The team and coffe station was just randomly placed on the safe…so maybe the tray was stolen or damaged and needs to be replaced, did it effect my sleep… absolutely not, but these are the small things that make the difference. Breakfast in the morning while lacking that cead mile failte we were asked out room number and that was it… we gave the room number and the reply was OK… and we were left to seat ourselves and navigate our way around, not the way I was trained by CERT 30 years ago… god I feel old…. again did that impact the stay no!! The breakfast was plentiful, fresh, great selection, everyone is catered for, did we leave happy and full.. YES. Receptionist on check out, seemed to be a well seasoned staff member, not the most pleasant. Who knows maybe she has loads going on at the moment, so we just heaped burning coals on her head and smiled. All in all a fab hotel. Will we be back? absolutely. Keep up the good work. The whole updates on WhatsApp is very clever when you check in too Ivy the virtual assistant we love her!

12/03/2026: With detailing in and Email, and wanting to secure my reservation, I had hoped to use a voucher I recieved. With between emails and getting ready to secure my days, I was informed that a day in between the days I had enquired had been fully booked, Disappointing, Not until the final email was I told that I had to secure my days by using my card details, if it were the case from the beginning it would of been fine. (0/5) It has been a complete waste of time trying to correspond via email to clarify the use of my voucher. (It's a private one that employees "myself Ex-employee" receive.) (-5/5) I would like to give a Thanks to Air B&B for Accommodating my stay, Quick and Efficient and cheaper. (5/5)

07/12/2025: A very typical Irish pub; the men's restrooms were being renovated, so you had to go outside if you needed to use the toilet. The beer was very good.

28/11/2025: Friendly bar staff and excellent pints of Heineken / Guinness. All at reasonable prices.

04/02/2026: Friendly staff member on the phone, Delivery arrived within 25 minutes. Food was hot and delicious.

26/01/2026: I did visit this supermacs at the weekend I received Great customer service, I got my food in efficient timing, will definitely be returning

15/01/2026: Food was very bad today. I eat a steak 40 eouros. Tast was old, potato was old. The put a mushpotato under the fillet so it will appear bigger. overpriced. Starter i have a gotecheese sallad. It was not good longer eder. The have changed the ingredients to cheeper. My wife have the pizza.. that one was still really good.. go there again? Im not sure

06/01/2026: Unfortunately, Nanny Quinns has closed down now. We didn't book ahead of time but we will in future. That said they were very accommodating and took the pressure in their stride.Lovely old style pub serving great food and a great pint. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was second to none. Beside the canal so perfect for a drink on warmer days. I have passed it by for years but now that we are actually living nearby, we will definitely be frequent visitors.
