Tried many other bars in the town as per recommendations and always start and finish in this pub.
Great staff

25/06/2025: Great place for the kids! Good prices! Good sized food portions! Only problem is they NEVER have full fat milk. Only woke milk. For that reason I won't buy tea or coffee.

Have to say overall good atmosphere great fire on just ladies toilet could do bit upgrade I'm not saying it wasn't clean..

Very comfortable café to sit it with loads of sockets available, topped off with a fantastic selection of treat coffees and hot chocolates, new recipes often. You don't get hit with the franchise in this place, it's always a delight to visit the Mullingar branch.

15/07/2025: We stopped here twice over the weekend as it was midway on our travels. A very busy place but nice to take a break. The food from Supermacs was nice and the 2nd time we got a breakfast. The only downside is that tables weren't very clean and when we tried to help by bringing over our trays when finished we were scowled at by the lady cleaning up.

03/06/2025: We brought our group here and had terrible service. We called ahead and told them our group was coming, which they said they would be more than ready for us. We quickly learned after trying to order that many things on the menu were unavailable. We had to go through three or four rounds of ordering before getting it right. Part of our group got the food in 20 minutes part of our group it took 2 hours, and then one I our group had no food at all. No apologies, we paid and left, frustrated. I wouldn’t eat here if I was you.

17/06/2025: I was really disappointed with pasta primavera. It's mostly cream and penne with tiny scraps of vegetables that are diced into miniscule chunks. I imagine the profit margin on this pasta is incredible. The atmosphere was bland, like my pasta. I did like the service however, but the uniform is dated. Overall I'll probably never think about this place again

02/05/2025: We had lunch here last week, I had the beef. It was definitely the nicest beef I have ever tasted. So tender and tasty. I have had other meals here in the past and the food is always fabulous. Desserts are really good also. I could not find fault with anything in The Shack! Staff are super efficient and very friendly. Would definitely recommend it.

Service was exceptional, lovely big room for a group on a hen party.
Organised pizzas for us from the local Italian that were delicious.
