14/08/2026: Got food for takeaway , let’s say I wasn’t sure what to get. The customer service brilliant the girl at the counter very helpful and I went with the butter chiken and it was very nice

10/08/2026: Four friends went out for dinner here having booked in advance on a Saturday night and were not disappointed. We ordered two of the chef's tandoori meat platter for 2 at €15.95 each. All at the table commented that it was melt in the mouth. Highly highly recommended. Two of the group opted for the jumbo prawn dish at €20.95, one chose the chicken kashmiri at €19.95 and the other went for lamb sharabi at €20.95. We shared 2 pilau rice at 3.50 per portion and 2 garlic naan at 3.50 per portion. We were all very impressed with the flavoursome fare that was plentiful. One friend had a glass of wine at €7.99 per glass and the others had either water or non-alcoholic beer at €5.50 per bottle. Service was relaxed which suited us who for once were in no rush. I would highly recommend here and plan a return visit with the other half.

08/03/2026: This was a busy spot for Sunday lunch. Had Roast lamb and roast beef and two Thai curries. The Thai curries were too hot, too salty and bore no resemblance to the tastes that one would associate with a Thai curry. The ladies were too reluctant to make a big deal other than point out that it was not good. The lady on the staff said that it was unfortunate and that was it. No attempt to alleviate the situation with a coffee or free dessert, just tough luck that you didn't mention it in time and it could be swapped. This is not the way to win good reviews or build a reputation. In these days of online reviews the dissatisfied customer tells 1000 other people.

15/07/2026: Great spot in the heart of Mullingar! Con’s Bar has that perfect traditional pub atmosphere warm, welcoming, and full of character. The staff were friendly and quick to serve even when it got busy, and the pint of Guinness and Bulmers was spot on. Loved the cozy, old-school interior with plenty of character; it feels like a proper local rather than a tourist trap. We popped in for a casual drink and ended up staying much longer than planned, chatting with locals and enjoying the relaxed vibe. There was a great mix of ages in, which added to the friendly atmosphere. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that it got a bit crowded on the night we visited and there was a short wait at the bar, but that’s a testament to how popular the place is. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Mullingar looking for an authentic Irish pub experience. Will be back next time I’m in town!

22/06/2026: Popped in with the family for food, after a recommendation from friends, we have fussy eaters, and my god it did not disappoint. The service was top notch, really friendly staff, and quick service. The food was gorgeous 🥰 really generous portions for both adults and kids., and so reasonable! Highly recommend the Athlone to the bone wings delicious! Cocktail menu is a bonus! Definitely will be back.

31/05/2026: Had an absolutey amazing experience on my first visit to Maisies today with my son because he recommended it. From top to bottom, the food, the staff, the drinks, the atmosphere and most importantly the customer service was top quality with a smile. It's a very welcoming place as the manager deserves enormous credit for how he greets people and his hands on approach will surely make Maisies thrive. Would definitely recommend to anybody reading, well done!

10/06/2026: The homemade vegetable soup is the best I have ever tasted. The staff are very friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere in the Cafe.

21/08/2026: A very cozy, old-fashioned pub, with a street and indoor, enclosed courtyard terrace, where you can sometimes catch a pre-music program in the evening. I didn't pay attention to whether they serve food. We stopped in several times to quench our thirst for a beer, because it was quite warm. They also make all kinds of beautiful cocktails. Yes, the courtyard is well protected from the weather, if you still want some fresh air. The whole place is quite cramped, so I don't know how many people can fit in, but judging by how big the bar is and that there were only 3 people working there, I think they can easily accommodate at least a large busload of guests at once, but don't panic, because there are 2 other great pubs next door, and you can find a 4th one about 100 m away by the castle or bastion.

26/07/2026: Nice atmosphere and pint, pizza 🍕 was lovely and get some chips barman said they are really nice and they were.

08/07/2026: I stopped at Supermac’s in Moate for a quick bite while passing through, and I have to say the experience was excellent. The young lady at the counter was an absolute pleasure to deal with—extremely polite, friendly, and very patient when I needed a moment to transfer money after ordering. I ordered a grilled chicken burger along with three tenders. The food was fresh, as I’ve come to expect from Supermac’s, and it was brought out to my table promptly. The staff here really stood out for their attitude and level of service. It made a simple stop feel very welcoming. Both cash and card are accepted, which is always convenient

14/08/2026: Two of us stopped for dinner here for the second time. The menu is big and you'll definitely find something to eat. The food was average; the T-bone steak wasn't as good as expected. I asked to replace the fries with rice, but they said they couldn't—rice had to be an extra order, which makes no sense to me. But overall, it's not bad. Thanks.

09/08/2026: Actually can't fault this place we were out for the day in athlone and for once I got to pick the spot and they certainly didn't disappoint💪😁 The food was fab, no complaints, food was hot, fresh and so enjoyable and you get great food for the great price. A book of a menu which was ideal for us because each one of use likes different types of food Everyone was happy. All plates empty. To say the service made the place is an understatement, plenty of time to look true the menu but to also get ourself settled, had a baby with us. But you weren't waiting for them to come to you. Our serve, never caught her name which was a shame, was such a lovely girl. Asked her to double check for us about an allergy and no issue, went off into the kitchen and out she came and continued taking our order and another question came up and she had no issue, she just took it all in her stride. She was so polite, well able for the banter and well mannered. I know customer services can be tough. I just have to add that once our order went into the kitchen, a kitchen member came our to double check again over the allergies and because of this others would find it irritating but it made us feel heard and safe in what we were about to eat. Payment is by cash only but to be honest we didn't mind this because we did have cash on us plus there is a sign that says it when you enter into the restaurant and there's an atm across the road so for everything else you are getting the food, the price and the laughter I wouldn't consider this a fault. There is changing facilities for any kids in the ladies bathrooms but like that they are the middle of renovating the bathrooms so himself was with me and they didn't mind this neither. We will be back for sure. Thank you to our serve on Friday just.

20/08/2026: Loved this place, the food was so delicious and the portion size were exactly what we needed for sharing. Spices were so fragrant and came with a kick ordering medium to very hot. The naan and rice accompanied the meal and we left satisfied. What an amazing experience and if we are in town again, this is the place I’d wanna go

08/06/2026: My 3 star rating is nothing against the hotel per se. The staff in the restaurant were excellent, menu choice and food served was of very good quality. However, there were a lot of people there and it for me it was very noisy. The ratings is from my personal preferences for quieter atmospheres. Others may not be affected by this.

24/05/2026: I would like to just thank aoife for being so attentive when I was in the athlone springs hotel today I was being overlooked by many and had asked 3 times for a drink with my food to another staff member she just said it ordered and never brought it over so I asked aoife she went and got a bowl of water for my hands and she smiled a lot at everyone but to be honest the other staff are a let down and need to do more training in customer care so all the stars today are for one member aoife and the mash was super but the chicken wings not so good

06/08/2026: I walked in this restaurant at 22.30, tired from working all day long and travelling from Sligo to Dundalk. The service was fast, the food arrived fast and the taste was excellent. I love Chinese and i had it in may different places in Ireland. I got the house special black bean sauce plate!
