07/12/2025: A very typical Irish pub; the men's restrooms were being renovated, so you had to go outside if you needed to use the toilet. The beer was very good.

17/01/2026: Terrible never again....waiting over 45 minutes for food server never came over to apologise for delay..food was desperate , dry and small portions may aswell go for a kids portion..wont be back anytime soon.
09/12/2025: Full house on the evening of our visit. Service prompt and relaxed. We had a good range from the menu - pasta, steak, fish, ribs and duck. Starters and deserts very good. Excellent value for money.

03/11/2025: The girl who took the order was very polite, attentive, tactful, and patient. The order was processed quickly, but it felt like it was being done by an apprentice. It was disappointing. We won't be ordering anything from here next time we're in Athlone.

12/01/2026: One of my favourite hotels which i return to time and time again. Stayed recently with my family, we had 3 rooms, great service as always and they really looked after my mother in law with is coeliac and the staff at breakfast were so friendly and accommodating especially Avril who was so lovely with my 10 month old granddaughter.
The rooms are beautiful the food amazing we ate in the restaurant and location is excellent walking distance to all the attractions of Athlone.

04/11/2025: Food was great. Atmosphere was dead the staff were good and friendly too to which is rare in a supermacs. First time I can honestly say the food was actually steaming hot unlike many other places.

09/01/2026: we paid for extra sprinkles on both of our 99 cones and when we got them, they didn't have sprinkles so of course we asked for some and the woman said we have to pay, but we did already and we told her that.
she didn't even give us a full sprinkle spoonful.
