15/10/2024: We went as a meat eater and a vegan and we both really enjoyed our meal. Great service and delicious food and as a vegan I had a really tasty platter with a selection of items on it. Fantastic
11/10/2024: Had a wonderful meal . Would highly recommend this restaurant. We had some vegetarian dishes & lamb & prawns. All 3 of us were very happy with our choices. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. He recommended Sean’s pub after, where we enjoyed a brilliant music session.. A good evening was had in Athlone!

14/11/2024: Food wasn’t cooked right tonight. Rice was hard. Chips were raw in the middle. Weird after taste from the onions in the chicken satay. Very disappointing.

10/10/2024: Super friendly staff, quick service, interesting interior, promoting local artists by displaying art in the premises. They have an outdoor area in Dominick Square ... And allow well behaved dogs inside. What's not to like!!!
04/10/2024: Great wide variety of different hot and cold drinks. Friendly staff and a very cozy setting to get a drink to sit in or take away.

Spice bags lack veg chips aren't great quality!!I was told about this spice bag highly over rated!
Out of 10 I'd only give it 6.8 not grate value for money for such a high price

05/09/2024: Hard to say. Marked as temporary closed in Maps. Went to check for any notice about it reopening and there was nothing. Looks pretty shut up.
If they've shut down for a holiday without leaving any indication then it's on them really.
There's a very faded notice in the window with opening times - picture included for what it's worth.
09/06/2024: Tasteless cocktails, inedible pizza.

04/08/2024: We recently hired their function room, and they allowed us to decorate it as we like. Staff were wonderful, very attentive, and drinks were great value and spot on. My friends commented on the value, in fact! Denise organised the food, and it was delicious & plentiful. Can't thank them enough for a fantastic party.

02/11/2024: We popped in here for a small bite to eat after visiting Sean's bar. The place looks like a small cafe on the outside but is very homely inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We opted for two caesar salad with no chicken and one chowder. The salads were top class and very tasty the chowder was creamy with a super flavour.
While in there we had a look at the evening a la carte menu, it looks comprehensive.
An ideal evening would be a visit to Sean's bar with some food in the River View bistro and back into Sean's bar again.
Highly recommended. Yes we will be back.
