07/10/2025: I had the vegan veggie with hash brown. The portion was huge but it was all fairly bland. The homemade hash brown just tasted like greasy fried grated potato with no seaoning. Also, there was no vegan spread for the sourdough bread.
27/09/2025: Great food and worth trying! Service could be a bit warmer. Still a solid spot overall.

27/08/2025: What a wonderful place to stop on the Dublin ~ Galway ~ Dublin run. Really convenient for on and off the motorway too.
An amazing toasted sandwich with a big mug of tea for just over €8 ! Staff very friendly and chatty, premises scrupulously clean. A few small tables and chairs outside, ideal for people watching on Moate's fascinating main street. Looks like it's popular with local schoolgoers too, always a good sign.

12/08/2025: Gotta love Oscars, it's our goto restaurant in the Midlands. The staff are second to none, there is always a good welcome. In pretty fussy with food and don't mind complaining when something isn't up to scratch, but in 20 odd years of going there in yet to have anything critical to say.
The takeout is just at good as the eat in, but then your missing the relaxing atmosphere.

20/09/2025: I was in tonight with my wife and we had pasta pizzaiola and pollo schnitzel and deserts which were fantastic. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommend and we will be back.

24/05/2025: I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived i was told I had to join a long queue. What is the point of calling in your order. No idea how to run a business.
The food isn’t that good to wait 40 minutes! Rude staff. Would rather go to supermacs.

16/08/2025: I had a wonderful experience at this café. The breakfast was very tasty, but what really made the visit special was the staff. Everyone was very polite and welcoming. Even though my English is not perfect, one of the staff members explained the menu to me very clearly and patiently, which I truly appreciated. Her effort and kindness made me feel very comfortable. Great service and atmosphere – I would definitely come back!

04/09/2025: Been a few times and it's usually pretty good. Unfortunately I went today with a friend and found a fly in my food. I was offered a new plate but not much of an oppology. While this was happening it made me think of the time I came with my dad and he found a small hair in his rice. To which my dad being the man he is , didn't say anything. Unfortunately this has put me off the place for good. It's a shame as the food is alright but it seems to be a common occurrence..maybe my bad luck
