NOBODY (ESPECIALLY WOMEN) SHOULD BE FORCED TO LEAVE DRINKS UNATTENDED Place smelled like dirty feet as soon as we walked in. The music was beyond horrendous, mid 2010s music selection. would not reccomend to my least favorite person. 0-10 Avoid this establishment if you’re looking for a proper evening (Sean’s pub is 700 meters from entrance and an incredible time and venue) -Slim J.

08/06/2025: Very grim nightclub. You’d wanna be locked going in there. Depending on the barman sometimes your spirits were watered down. A gin with soda water was 10.20 and 7.00 for a shot. I didn’t realise it was Stockholm prices in Athlone town centre. 2 stars because the music was good

07/06/2025: I dont usually leave bad reviews but feel like i have to this time!! Im a regular here for takeaway coffee but we decided to sit inside and enjoy a coffee. To my digust a woman with 2 dogs came into the shop and proceeded to sit down and let her 2 dogs sit up on the table and then let them drink from the small jug of milk on the table!! Totally disgusting and both staff seen this whilst passing her and said nothing. I have no problem with dogs in a shop but up on tables that people are eating and drinking from and then letting the dogs drink out of the jugs and cups, says alot about the hygiene of this place! We wont be coming back here again, we dont usually sit in as the place isnt the cleanest and tiolets filthy but this experience has sealed the deal for me and wont be back even for takeaway coffee!

13/06/2024: The owner and workers were really sweet! We’re from out of town and stopped here across from our hotel and we truly enjoyed it, the sushi rolls were so big! I wish we could eat here all the time! The only reason we spent more was because we had more people, but it was very reasonably priced!

28/05/2024: the best place for sushi in mullingar i go here all the time. the service is always great and the sushi is always fresh, have never been disappointed. also great prices i can get so much and don’t have to spend too much money. would highly highly recommend!!!

17/06/2025: Waow, exceptional food, wines service and atmosphere. Saturday evening and the restaurant was packed with large and small groups. Because of the crowd we thought service would be slow. Service was speedy, friendly and efficient. Food was tasty with great presentation.

04/07/2025: Came here looking for breakfast on a trip through Athlone. We managed to make it in the nick of time before they ended breakfast service and we weren’t sure if they would let us order. Jaime was SO kind and took our order, answering questions and giving us recommendations. Our food came out very quickly and coffee was included with our breakfasts. Wish we would’ve taken a photo of our food, but we ate too fast!! Jaime checked on us throughout the meal and was so lovely. 5/5 for friendly service and yummy food. I would highly recommend!!

04/09/2024: visited Don's for a craft beer festival which was hosted in the beer garden. venue had arranged live music, the beer garden is large with ample seating, access to the bar can be gained easily, and facilities were ample. a food truck was present on the day, which served a few tasty options, including a beef brisket sub which I enjoyed.

16/02/2025: I was wrong, I had selected another city on the click and collect, they managed to make my order for me without having to pay me again. The place is clean and super classy. The lovely staff. And then the food was excellent, the pulled pork excellent and the pistachio cookie I recommend 10000x

17/06/2025: Hi there I have seen your question regarding The Venue and I just wanted to say that I have attended the concert of "The year that grunge broke " previously at the Venue in Athlone town . I attended the concert with friends on the night and the concert lasted two hours.

15/07/2025: Bring a dog and you’ll be treated like royalty. The food was delicious and the menu was quite extensive. Because we had a dog we sat out in the barbecue section of the restaurant. It’s a huge room with multiple couches, throws and cushions. The staff were so friendly and it is set in a beautiful location. Thoroughly recommend.

07/07/2025: Really nice place 👌 the only down is that if you're hanging out with veg/vegan friends or partner, it will be difficult to enjoy, but if everyone eats meat, it's a great place 🙏
