12/11/2024: Got a kebab for delivery, and as usual it was delicious, plates were cleaned and the delivery was fast, no complaints at all

16/06/2024: Always visit Alfredo’s for a nice burger and chips with my son but lately the chips and burger have ended up in the bin. Burger meat 4 mm thick and hard. Chips were over cooked and dry. None of which could be eaten. Disgusting food and staff were unprofessional. Will not be returning.

12/09/2024: A new cafe was recently re-opened. Welcoming and friendly staff. Varied choice of food. Delicious mocha.

22/08/2024: Delighted that the Spiced Bean is open again under new ownership and especially that they have kept the filter coffee machine! Loved the place when Aidan and Delia ran it. First visit under new ownership was excellent and I wish the new owners all the best!

15/06/2024: Love this pub! Suitable for all age groups and likes. The atmosphere is always great and if it’s a quiet time you’re after then there are plenty of nooks to sit in. Special shout out to Alan who makes the best cocktails especially a French Martini 🍸 🤤

08/10/2024: Walking through Mullingar we fancied a bit of lunch after doing the greenway we came across this place. Definitely worth a visit for lunch. Staff were professional and very friendly. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

05/11/2024: We didn’t stay in the room but had heard this was the best food in the area. Thank you random Irishman “you were right!” Atmosphere was pleasant and busy. Definitely an older building; they used a dumbwaiter to bring the food from the kitchen. Everything we ate or drank was delicious and filling. My wife tried different ciders and I continued my Irish whiskey drinking! If the rooms are as good as the food then next time we’ll stay here for a day!

23/10/2024: I have been to this Superman's a few times over the years, and I've never had an issue. Today, however, I met a young man who I can only describe as rude. When he served me, I felt he wasn't listening and had to repeat my order for him. When looking for a table, there were four or five tables that were dirty and rubbish on them. My food took a long time and when it arrived it was wrong. I had ordered a plain chicken burger, and on the box was a plain sticker, but it wasn't plain. I went back up, and another young man said he would get me a fresh one. He arrived thirty seconds later with it, and I was my original burger, just scrapped clean. When I was finished and putting my rubbish in the bin, the bins were full. Several other customers had to wipe tables themselves to sit down. This was shocking, and I will not be returning.

04/10/2024: Passing by, stopped for a coffee. Not a big fan of paper cups when consuming in a coffee shop. Not a snob or eco warrior either. It simply kills the spell. I doubt they would serve coffe in paper cups in Italy unless it is a take away.

12/09/2024: I frequently drop into Lillymay’s Café in Moate, and it never disappoints! The warm, inviting atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to relax, whether you’re there for a quick coffee or a bite to eat . The food is consistently fresh and delicious, with an impressive variety of homemade dishes and treats. A special mention to Frank, the owner, who always makes everyone feel welcome with his friendly and personable service. His passion for the café truly shines through in everything, from the quality of the food to the overall experience. If you’re ever in Moate, Lillymay’s is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
