31/12/2024: Just home from lunch here and can't recommend it enough. I had the Avocado Toast and it was delicious and a lovely pot of tea. The staff are so friendly My 3rd time there and will be back

26/02/2025: If you want a change from the usual services food, take a turn into Kinnegad. Macari's is a nice change. A chippy with some nice choices of food. I only marked atmosphere as low because I was the only one eating in at the time. But I loved the little extra effort of salt and vinegar in reusable containers not throw away sachets, very nice touch.

14/02/2025: I went in last night got a Pepperoni pizza it wasn't great I'd give it a 0 out off a 5 it was rough and to be honest I got fucking sick the next morning so food Poison or something but pizza made me get sick anyway. And I stop going there fee years ago cause the place got rought because I founded a hair in the burger once that night decided to give the place other chance cause there new workers in there but still rough not worth going into

10/01/2025: The business was closed for three days last month. Weak pest control, open pipes and rat droppings led to a Westmeath take away being served a closure order last month. Take Away Express on Northgate Street in Athlone was issued the order on December 13th under the FSAI Act 1998, which was lifted three days later on the 16th. It was one of six food businesses across the country that was served a closure order by The Food Safety Authority of Ireland last month. The FSAI served 133 enforcement orders on food businesses in 2024, an increase of 45% from the 92 orders issued in 2023.

15/03/2025: Well I’m sorry I didn’t check the reviews before I innocently came off the motorway to get a drive thru. McDonald’s are normally consistent to be fair. This one has lowered the bar so low it’s found there’s a basement and is digging. Got to the food window where I was given ice cream I didn’t order. Then it was a guess who for what I did order as the server held up random things and I had to guess a. What it was and b. Was it my order. He asked me to move up and wait which I did. 10 minutes later, got the order, with cheese which I specifically asked be left out, enough mayo to drown a small child, chips without salt (no sachets or sauces or napkins to quell the tsunami of mayo) and missing a drink. So it summary if you like flushing your money down the toilet, this is the place for you. The drink with my meal, a Fanta, was flat. Feel slightly nauseous seeing the hygiene reviews and now grateful the meal was inedible, drink undrinkable. This is 100% a management issue, it’s echoed in the untrained panicked staff. Confident trained staff don’t provide this bad a service. McDonald’s, this place is taking your standards to the sewer.

09/03/2025: An employee was wiping tables, putting rubbish in bins in restaurant, he was blowing his nose on his hands & wiping it on the cloth he was wiping the tables with. Absolutely disgusting, I was glad I was only having a coffee. Disgusting hygiene.

27/09/2024: It's probably the most expensive cappucino I have had to date.. €4.70 in a plastic cup.. Coffee wasn't great either, first and last coffee I will purchase from there.

15/03/2025: We popped in for a bit of lunch, during a rainy day visit to Clifden. The bakery was warm and welcoming , with a huge array of sweet and savoury treats to choose from. We enjoyed a tasty steak and kidney pie. Definitely recommend.

20/01/2025: I popped in here for breakfast & ordered a full Irish. It is very difficult to do a fry up badly but somehow this place managed it. It did not appear to be cooked fresh, especially the rashers which had a strange taste off them. Would not eat here again.

30/03/2025: Sunday morning tables were dirty , we had to wipe them before we sat down and it wasn't busy when we walked in , only one high chair in the building and it was in use We got 1 carrot cake and 2 Pistachio croissant pastries The cake was stale and the pastries were solid , I took the cake back and asked for a macaroon and told them about the pastries been bad but she just ignored me, 3 times I told her but it landed on deaf ears. I can't understand why all our coffee were served in paper cups aswell. For the price the service and quality needs to be better

07/03/2025: Absolute gem, located right in the heart of town - car parking near by. Baby changing facilities are a unique bonus as not all cafes in mullingar have changing tables. If you have a baby look out for that before you sit down for food anywhere else. Staff here are experienced and considerate, very friendly. The cake selection is fantastic, with a mouthwatering display of freshly baked treats that make it hard to choose just one. Whether you're popping in for a quick caffeine fix or planning a leisurely catch-up with friends, this café ticks all the boxes. Highly recommended!

24/02/2025: wont be back. Poppadon was half cooked. The main dish was ment to be chicken tikka masala as i have had it many times. it was something else.
