10/08/2025: Short security fella is a disgrace. We were outside taking care of some girls cause we dont want to leave them alone. Won’t let us in after for literally no reason at all. Both over 21.
We were sadly not the only ones treated poorly by this man. Wouldnt let multiple people in for no apparent reason at all. Sadly won’t tell us his name. Awful rude too..
25/07/2025: Fab place for a night out. The only negative is the music on 3rd floor, my understanding is that it's supposed to be club music, most nights it's some sort of generic early 2000 stuff, would love a DJ who knows what good club music is.

Best spicebox in the ireland imo 👌🏻not too much focus on the chicken and chips and with nicely seasoned vegetables too, but would be great if they brought back indoor dining, after all, lockdown is long over. Please do this, Sohos. It would be lovely to sit in at your restaurant again 🙏🏻 🥲❤️

16/08/2025: The whole experience is awesome. Forget the price and absorb the experience. The owner took us out on their own boat just because the evening was magical. Fairy tale stuff. Can't speak highly enough.
13/08/2025: Upon arrival we were given a lovely welcome by Margot, brought us to our room and showed us everything. There was a lovely balcony but we couldn't sit outside until late as there was a lot of wasps, probably a nest nearby. We had dinner in the grapevine bar, service was poor. The food not much better, average burger, but had to send chips back twice! And still couldn't eat them. Breakfast was good but I wouldn't return.

31/08/2025: A large, well-decorated, comfortable cafe with muffins and coffee, matcha tea, etc., high prices but similar to other cafes.
01/08/2025: As we were in Mullingar for a few days and in search of places offering beverages and light meals, we came across Chocolate Brown.
From the moment we entered the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Nothing was too much trouble and we were quickly seated and served. The coffees and toasted offerings were excellent and very satisfying.
This establishment is definitely a pit stop above all in Mullingar. Do visit and you won't be disappointed.

24/08/2025: I ordered a new menu for the fact that I received such half-empty glasses of drinks, to my protesting employee Pedro replied that this is how the machine regulates the pouring of drinks, and only a few sips were enough from an average Pepsi. Naturally, I do not recommend KFC in Athlone. I will write a complaint on your official website why the service is so bad

This restaurant is not suitable for who was looking for tasty.
I never had this kind of restaurant.
In Athlone the same restaurant is so good & delicious food.In Mullingar I don’t feel same.
I never ever go again & recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Weak pest control, open pipes and rat droppings led to a Westmeath take away being served a closure order last month.
Take Away Express on Northgate Street in Athlone was issued the order on December 13th under the FSAI Act 1998, which was lifted three days later on the 16th.
It was one of six food businesses across the country that was served a closure order by The Food Safety Authority of Ireland last month.
The FSAI served 133 enforcement orders on food businesses in 2024, an increase of 45% from the 92 orders issued in 2023.

14/07/2025: Pretty strange place. My BF was refused entry because the bloke "didn't like the look of me"! Australian/Irish, completely sober. Never happened in his life before!!!!
05/05/2025: Had a night out here recently for a Friday night that was quiet enough. No problem with seating, and the atmosphere was jolly and friendly. At one point, in the night, the volume went right up and stayed up, which was agitating when we were sitting right under the speakers. That's the only reason it didn't get a 5 star.
