28/01/2026: First time getting food here n Got a garlic cheese chip and notice some chips were hard and then seen this nasty
04/01/2026: I didn't like it, to be honest. I ordered fries with curry, and while the curry was good, the fries were more like mashed potatoes than chips. The portion wasn't bad for the price, but I don't think I'll be back. The service was friendly, at least.

12/03/2026: Prices out the wazoo now. If you order they dont read the notes when delivering either which is really really annoying. Food quality went down in the shitter aswell.

And over the past while food quality is gone way down and the prices are gone mad for what they give you!
Beef black bean sauce meat was tuff and sauce like water!stay away from spice box load of garbage over cooked chicken not edible
I hate saying it but no more golden star for us!!

Humas €9 + Tiny portion.
Chicken wings €9+ 8 tiny wings.
Seabas excellent
Chicken was the most different meal i have ever attempted to eat.
Tiny pieces of Chicken marinated in spices €20+
2 glasses of wine drank, charging for 3.
Never again guys....
15/10/2024: We went as a meat eater and a vegan and we both really enjoyed our meal. Great service and delicious food and as a vegan I had a really tasty platter with a selection of items on it. Fantastic

22/07/2025: Lovely spot in the middle of the town for a coffee pick me up and a slice of cake or bun. It’s v busy but had quite a lot of seating. My son loves the Cornish pasties which make for a lovely breakfast or lunch on the campsite. Coffee is good
22/07/2025: Expérience agréable pour un déjeuner à 6. De bon sandwiches, bien que le pain mériterait de gagner en qualité, et de très bonnes pâtisseries. Beaucoup de choix, le tout pour un prix correct.

25/04/2025: Absolute peach of a pub. Lovely people, lovely fresh local food. Reasonable prices. Only downer is that it’s difficult to park. But worth trying!!
08/02/2025: Great food in a beautiful oldstyle pub, welcoming, friendly staff and locals and a blazing fire on a cold day.
The chowder was delicious as was the brown bread and the calamari and prawns were as good as I have ever had.

Wineport Lodge
07/05/2025: We met with a friend for lunch and stayed until nearly 5pm. Wineport is in a beautiful setting and on a warm and sunny afternoon it was an excellent place to meet.
Staff are very welcoming, relaxed and professional. Our lunches were reasonably priced and very tasty, I would definitely be back to try again
14/02/2025: I always thought the Wineport Lodge was the place to have dinner in the midlands but the quality has considerably dropped. However, the prices are higher now!!! Meaning a very basic steak with no trimmings will set you back 40 eur when it is 25-30 eur anywhere else. The dinner menu is very basic. Very disappointed and will not go there again for a while.
