07/02/2025: Nice atmosphere and delicious food. Everything we ate was fantastic and the service is very good, they are attentive, polite and friendly.

30/12/2024: We ended up here by chance at Lunch. The food is tasty and fresh. The only thing is that the fish could have been cooked a bit better, which is why we gave it one star. Location is a plus.

22/02/2025: Lovely evening, great food and great service. Highly recommended. Pat was attentive, and helpful throughout. For Starters we both had Goat cheese and onion tarts. Delicious. Butternut squash risotto was beautifully cooked and delicious, as was Beef cheeks. Desserts also fabulous, apple crumble and also Pavlova. Service throughout was exceptional. We will book here again for sure if we return.

01/12/2024: We had a family lunch for 14 people for a birthday & anniversary celebration. The restaurant manager Pat could not do enough for us. He was so welcoming, personable and fantastic with all the kids. The food was delicious and so reasonably priced. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and making the occasion so special. I’m looking forward to my next meal there. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

17/03/2025: Great hotel, really professional staff and very clean. Great food in the bar. Excellent chef! Unfortunately , we stayed beside room 228 on 16 March and witnessed a terrible episode, audible from room 230 coming from 228 next door. A man verbally abusing his partner in the early hours - her voice barely audible but his was loud and vis clous, intimidating and frightening. WW hope this woman reads this and gets away from him. We wonder what she faces at home if he behaves like that in a lovely quiet hotel on a bank holiday weekend with no regard for anyone else. They left early without checking out at the desk, so there was nothing we could do.

11/03/2025: The food was a delightful experience! The egg dosa was perfectly crisp, served with flavorful coconut chutney, also the beef biriyani was absolutely delicious. A special thanks to chef Thomas chettan and the team 👍🏻👍🏻

08/02/2025: We stayed in Bloomfield House hotel recently for 4 nights as we had lost power for 1 week due to Storm Éowyn. We are a family of 6 and we had two interconnecting rooms which were fabulous. We had a wonderful experience and could not find fault with the rooms, the food or the staff. We had a brilliant stay and it is a credit to the owners and everyone who works there. Would definitely stay again.

04/02/2025: Stayed at the Bloomfield house Hotel from 24th to 26th Jan. I have to say the staff were top notch even though they were in the middle of storm Eowyn and without power in hotel running off a generator always with a smile. Rooms were cosy but a little cold but that was due to running off generator. Had a four course meal on the Saturday which was delicious 😋 and served by Trish thank you for your attention. Defo would stay again.

27/01/2025: We had breakfast this morning and it was a wonderful experience for my mum and I thanks to the wonderful staff who took such good care of us, especially my mum and her wheelchair. We were made welcome and at ease from the moment we approached the entrance. Mary helped us at the door and organised our table to accommodate mum's wheelchair and then myself. Mum decided a standard chair would be more comfortable for her and again Mary was brilliant in making this happen without fuss and engaging mum in constant comforting conversation. The food was excellent and the service was too... We are planning our next visit already. We do not usually review places we eat but we promised ourselves we would support this local shop and restaurant with a positive review because everyone should get to share this simple but enjoyable treat. Many thanks.

16/02/2025: Buckley's SuperValu have an excellent bakery. We don't shop here often as we live on the other side of the town. However, when we do we usually leave with something from their bakery.

07/01/2025: Went for Christmas dinner with my husband's work colleagues ,there was about 30 of us. The food was excellent, service was excellent and staff friendly, courteous and obliging.

23/11/2024: The service was fantastic, the staff is very accommodating. We had a room to ourselves with three tables. Everything was served together, and all special requests were made. The food, as always was very good. Thank you for a great night.

21/03/2025: Nice pint. Decent food. Plenty of character. Wasn’t much happening as we were in mid afternoon. Will definitely come back as we were only here for a quick pit stop

20/03/2025: Awful food we all got different starters and they all had the same piece of lettuce topped with mixed corn slop which just looked like someone's vomit...steak order for mains tasted off. Profiter rolls for desert was 5 tiny balls (obviously frozen) sitting on a huge bowel of whipped plain ice cream. No chocolate sauce in sight. Can't eat ice cream so desert was also not great. Expensive for such poor quality food.

27/03/2025: My first visit to Poppy Firlds Cafe and it won't be my last. When we entered the cafe it was very busy but a great atmosphere. We were quickly shown to a table. The staff were so friendly with top class service. We thoroughly enjoyed our food, and we would highly recommend 👌

06/03/2025: Was a bit better few months ago but still a nice experience. We were left waiting twice had to ask for service but other than that all was good.
