07/03/2025: I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in Esquires this week. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The food, smoothie and coffee that I had were delicious, and I was even treated to a free slice of cake to sample. It was a profiterole cheesecake, and I enjoyed every mouthful of it. Thanks so much for a lovely experience. I will definitely return to this café.

18/02/2025: I came here with a friend of mine a week ago and had the worst experience in my life from the restaurants in ireland. The waiters were very disrespectful towards us plus they made us wait extremely long for about 35 minutes or so. Also the steak did not taste good at all it was not pink on the inside like well cooked steaks, the chips we ordered were a little soggy and we had found a strand of hair. No professionalism in this restaurant. However, the outside castle looks nice.

05/03/2025: Three friends and I tried the Asian fusion menu here on a Saturday night for the first time. I opted for the Thai Tom yum soup at €12 which was tasty and filling with a decent amount of prawns. Two of the others chose the Duck bon bons and the other had cheese burger spring roll. For mains I had the pulled lamb Bao buns for €16. You had to order side dishes to add to your main which looked quite skimpy on the plate by themselves. We shared two sides amongst the 4 of us. I expected double the amount for the chicken rice dish and the wok fried noodle and Asian vegetable side which were both respectively priced at 10 euro each. For dessert, a friend and I split and shared the Banoffee spring rolls with toffee syrup and espresso and caramel cheesecake: the latter was the better dish. The banoffee spring rolls were akin to banana fritters. For drinks, I had a Mojito mocktail at €9 as did another of the party. Another had a pink lady mocktail which was the same price as the Mojito mocktail. The non-driver of the group had 2 glasses of Sauvignon which were relatively reasonably priced. 3 of us finished with Americanos at €3.50 each. The total bill came to €208 or so. The staff were pleasant and the background music was very good. Think the portion of the sides need addressing for return visits.

25/02/2025: Absolutely love Red Earth. The food, the atmosphere, the service, everything is amazing. Can’t fault the place. Parking is tight enough but other than that, I love the place! My favourite dish is the Singapore Noodles.

24/06/2024: You know those days when you really fancy some fish and chips? I had to scratch that itch and I really wanted to treat myself. Without naming names I went to a couple of takeaways beforehand and they didn't have fish on the menu, but Mister Pizza saved the day. I thought that their fish and chips was good value at €10 as you get two whole fillets of fish plus a generous portion of thick cut chips. The fish batter was nice and crunchy and the chips were perfectly cooked. I only had to wait about 10 minutes and everything was cooked fresh. I even shared a small bit of the fish with my dog when I got home and he appreciated it!

18/03/2025: Fraynes! What can we say, best bakery/cafe in Mullingar! Always our first stop when we fly in, and always our last stop on the day we fly out. We also visit almost everyday in between. They serve the best “Full Irish” breakfast and more! Hubby always gets the full Irish & I typically change up my selection. Food never disappoints! Oh, and they also serve the best Cappuccino too!

05/03/2025: Fantastic little find. We went in as a group of 10 after the Guinness Brewery tour and the staff were most accommodating. We had a lovely couple of beers with some great food - the coopers corner curry was beautiful. A great little place, would highly recommend!

15/02/2025: We were booked in for 6 o clock. Arrived on time and left waiting for an hour. In the meantime people we knew Arrived and told us they were booked in for 6.30. They were seated straight . So after an hour we left.

10/03/2025: Probably some of the nicest Indian food i have ever had! Bring the family here a lot and the kids love it too. We even used them to cater at a party for us and everyone talked about the food! Would highly recommend them. Staff are very nice and very welcoming. My favs are the tandori chicken and Chicken Biriyani

09/03/2025: Such a bad experience I have ever had in Ireland. I would never recommend to anyone I know. Poor service. We went at 4 pm and asked for buffet. They should have told us it’s a closing time. They told us we can have buffet , but while eating itself they emptied the dishes without even informing us.

07/09/2024: Massive bar with snugs all over a huge covered beer garden with pizzeria attached. A whole new meaning to pizza and a pint. Private rooms and cosy corners .
