05/05/2026: To all at The Fiddlers thanks so much for looking after three stranded boatmen! This is a proper bar, old school local but still welcoming to strangers. If in Athlone I strongly advise a visit. The pints were fabulous.

11/08/2026: Dine in a 15th century Irish towerhouse, the site of a major Irish victory over British forces during the Nine Years War.

09/08/2026: Classic Irish place where the veg are just steamed & left. No imagination, I got 2 small florists of brocoli . Food was OK

18/07/2026: Visited the farm today with my family . Great family day out for the kids. Lovely experience very friendly staff, and a very reasonable price for the entry fee . Definitely worth the visit ⭐️

17/07/2026: Great day out with loads for kids to do. Walk around and feed the animals, sand pit, playground, go carts and a lovely area with little vehicle for kids to drive around in. Lovely cafe too.

09/08/2026: Ordered wraps for takeaway. Decent place and value. Seemed a bit quiet - but food was fresh and spice level was decent.

27/07/2026: The food is fabulous and also eally fresh and authentic. We had chicken wings with Indian spices, chicken curry, rice, garlic nan and a kebab. Everything was gorgeous, would definitely go again. Very good menu choices and vegetarian. They mostly do takeaway but they have small seating area too if you want to eat in. No wine. Service excellent

18/07/2026: Great service for a birthday cake order

11/07/2026: The cake was beautiful and as advertised. The price was fair also. However we were handed a cake in 25 degree heat with no lid and told “store in a cold place.” The cake was for party in a restaurant 15 mins away and only when we insisted a lid should be provided was one fashioned out of plastic bags. The staff insisted they never preseng a cake with a lid. This is very bizarre. This really lets down your service. The cake tasted really good! Please invest in some lids and some proper cake boxes!

29/09/2025: Great morning spot. French Toast with fresh fruit, bacon, snd maple syrup was yummy. Hubby had omelette and potatoes. The vanilla latte and mochas were also tasty and even seconds to go:)

17/07/2026: We ate here after arriving in Mullingar for the night. Crisp, cold Heineken and fabulous food. 10 out of 10. Friendly staff The garlic mushrooms are worth visiting for alone.

12/06/2026: Its a simple accomodation but thats reflectes in the price . Very central . Rooms are clean and i had a perfect sleep . Abpve all staff is very friensly and helpfull . I came here with my bicycle and after asking where i could.park the bike safely they wven gave me the option of taking it intp my room . Also the adjacent bar serves very decent food at a reasonable price . Overall very pleasant experience to stay at the bailey .

We ordered: 🍅 Bruschetta 🍝 Baked Pasta (in tomato sauce) 🥣 Vegetable Soup 🍛 Vegetable Curry & Rice Every single item was absolutely delicious, freshly made, and served piping hot—which was an amazing bonus since it was raining heavily outside!

22/08/2026: Its gone awful. Handful of chips in a tiny container. My.3 year old had them finished in no time. Forgot my sons order , empty cup to fill yourself, "great" idea if you dont have 2 small kids to be looking after at a seat. Plain burgers were awful, all bun and the skinniest flattest piece of beef with some weird sauce that tasty almost gone off. All for the wonderful price of 30 euro 😞 Never again.

05/05/2026: Picked up a fabulous and very delicious freshly made cake today from a very talented young lady, Emma. The most moist, fresh cake i have eaten. It went down a treat. Be very proud Emma of your baking skills. 🥰. Many thanks Aoife and all the Quigleys who enjoyed eating it. 😁
