The best restaurants in Westmeath

01/01/2025: My 5 yo and 1 yo really loved Molly Moos! We spent 4 hours here, and easily would've spent longer. The little town with cars etc was a huge hit. Would definitely recommend

14/12/2024: Just back from a wonderful trip to Mollie Moos. Thank you Santa & gang for a very enjoyable visit. Christmas on the farm with all the animals was very special. Thank you Linda & staff for your hospitality. The hot chocolate was delicious in the cosy cafe. Our 2 year old didn't want to leave the fantastic play area which is kitted out with all sorts of exciting equipment!

28/01/2025: It's a wonderful place for children bring my son here alot. Only issue i do have is it can get extremely busy with parties and at the weekends and can feel over packed. During busy times the staff are extremely busy and old children go inside the toddler only section and aren't told to leave by staff.

09/02/2025: We were a party of 4. We had booked and glad we did as it was very busy on a Saturday evening. Good buzz and lovely efficient staff. Food was excellent.

02/01/2025: Times have changed, or people, or the specifics of restaurant service... We came, stood for a few good moments between the doors, then the girl shouted at the receptionist from a few meters away: do you have an appointment? I say yes.. What's the name? Screaming on... I was embarrassed that I had to scream my name to all the guests. Then the girl thought for a minute and came with a menu box and said let's go. We took off our jackets and followed her. The girl sat us down. We asked ourselves where to hang the clothes because the coats are big and the chairs are small. Then she took the coats... It was strange that we were served by 4 different waiters, that was news to me. Maybe it's so innovative now, but another thing, they messed up the bill while writing. We later calculated that we paid less than we should have, but we were already home. Well, I would like to have employees with experience in restaurant work and to count earned money more carefully. Very tasty food... I wish that the attention to the person was more "tastier" also :) and no shouting at restaurant... But maybe its ok now...

01/03/2025: Great cocktails. Can order pizzas from the kitchen there. Yummy. Nice spacious bar. Music too. It's worth a visit. Friendly staff. Wobbled home after the cocktails 😆.

17/03/2025: Great Italian restaurant with amazing food and wonderful staff. Came on a Sunday evening without reservations and while the restaurant was pretty crowded was seated immediately. Ordered the lasagne (comes with a side salad) and it was very tasty. I would definitely order it again.

11/02/2025: Flannerys bar is an old type bar,with traditional music and the host Anne behind the bar is eccentric and fun and a happy place to be.

19/03/2025: A wonderful lunch at the left bank bistro, delicious food in a warm and inviting atmosphere. A special thanks to Shauna, who took such great care of us—her attentive service and friendly approach made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back!

20/02/2025: Great location, nice interiors, warm but not too hot. Early bird menu is good value for 2 or 3 courses, dessert was the highlight of the 3 courses. Wine by the glass is very expensive 9e/10e each. Attitude of staff was poor; one girl from Europe was a lot more friendly and pleasant than the two Irish staff, including a manager type lady, who gave no acknowledgement for the generous tip left. Would not rush back.
