12/11/2025: Good old fashioned bar with excellent Guinness. Friendly owner and staff. Comfortable lounge area and has bar full of characters.

22/10/2025: I really don’t like to leave bad reviews but Like others have said, this place had a great reputation so we decided to call for lunch. I was shocked to be guided to a table when it wasn’t busy to then be told if you wanted to pay by card you had to use the kiosk screen, which also was above the head of a lady who was eating her lunch and it felt very rude leaning over her. We apologised to her and she stood up to move out of our way. For a small business that used to have great character this was very disappointing. There was at least 3 lovely staff members going around with headsets which was strange and that could easily have taken our order. I couldn’t believe then after ordering and you go to pay it asks you want percentage of a tip you would like to give… what exactly are we tipping? There was no service prior to this. I also ordered poached eggs on sourdough toast and the toast came out 10 minutes before the eggs? Very strange. I love to support local businesses but I feel after this experience I won’t be back.

18/10/2025: Lovely food, tasty, fresh and top quality service. Very fast for such quality food. Exceptionally friendly staff , every staff member from opening the front door said Hello, we sat upstairs, nice bright room again, very friendly staff upstairs, when we were going all said goodbye and thanked us for coming. When we had started to eat- within a few minutes, we were asked if everything was alright, we were happy with the food and did we want anything else. Obviously the owner/manager/staff put a-lot of effort in. (Not that fussed on the QR ordering-the food and friendliness make up for this but it’s just something I personally don’t like in a restaurant)

11/11/2025: I can't comment on the hotel itself, but we came to Bailey Bar on the recommendation of Timmy from Sean's Bar, and we were so glad we did! The welcome from a funny waitress was perfect, and we had a wonderful meal. I ate one of the best hamburgers of my life, carefully homemade (and thanks again to the waitress for putting up with my fussy refusal of any greens in my burger 🤣). The place is cozy and feels almost like home. Don't hesitate to stop by if you're in the area.

24/10/2025: Stopped in for lunch and ordered the cottage pie. It was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

23/10/2025: Upon arrival, I froze to see grubby tables mot cleared and floors under tables not addressed. I proceeded to the food on offer where 2 rather dirty teatowels lay. I left. Pity because it could be a good place.

05/10/2025: Really tasty, healthy food. We all enjoyed. Lovely staff who are flying around. Would definitely come back. We live in Navan and nothing around us like this. Highly recommend!

02/12/2025: Christmas Party Night in the Athlone Springs Hotel was absolutely fantastic. From the minute we walked in the door we were looked after. We were greeted by 2 young men with big smiles who offered us complimentary drinks and were very helpful explaining what the different drinks were. We sat down for dinner , which was beautiful. The beef was melt in your mouth divine and the special recipe ice cream was to die for. There was a few games in between courses which I have to say the star of the show was Darren . He kept everyone entertained and was such a super host, i never laughed as much. The interaction with all the people was amazing. The music was brilliant, a great selection to suit all ages. Well done to everyone on the night, including waiters, waitresses, bar staff and management. Great night

30/11/2025: Recently stayed here for a wedding and the hotel was lovely, staff are amazing so pleasant and helpful! Room was perfect, all the facilities needed, iron, iron board, tea/coffee, hairdryer. Etc We asked for a later checkout which again was easy, €20 per hour. Food was lovely and they make a mean pornstar martini! SuperValu right around the could not even a minutes walk! I will definitely be back again!

10/12/2025: It's a nice clean spot with an open seating area. The lad served me instead of making me use a screen and bought the food to my seat.

18/12/2025: I ordered "Frank's Red Hot Chicken Wings" The bones were black inside and very brittle, exactly like frozen wings would be. The chicken was piping hot in places and ICE cold in others, like frozen and poorly reheated chicken is. Eddie Rockets claim it's fresh chicken wings!! The staff tried to be helpful. The manager was not at all!!

11/12/2025: Visited a few days ago, food was great and service was even better. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very nice girl serving us who was very attentive despite the restaurant being busy.
