01/03/2025: 4 of us went for dinner here last night. Absolutely delicious. Excellent service, very pleasant and efficient staff.

15/02/2025: The best place for breakfast, lunch, or a quick stop if you’re traveling in the area! 5* The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is top-notch. I often find it hard to get a good cappuccino, but this place truly surprised me (probably one of the best I’ve ever had) The top floor has a rustic and COZY atmosphere, perfect for groups of 5 or more. Their bakery is amazing, offering a variety of delicious options. I highly recommend their croissants and the ‘Breakfast BAP’!

19/02/2025: Staff in the carvery are clueless, I ordered my meal and asked for some chips on the plate with my meal. My son was ordering too and I didn't realise the girl had forgotten to add them. I noticed she forgot the chips just as I sat down, I immediately returned to make her aware of her mistake. All I wanted was a small handful of chips. She gave them to me but said I would have to pay as I didn't get them with my dinner. So I went to the till to explain the mistake to a more senior staff member. When I spoke to an older more senior lady at the till she just said, Oh sorry about that, now that's going to be €4 I just paid for their mistake rather than causing an argument. But I'll never return because of this. Carvery food was disgusting also lots of cross contamination among dishes and poor food safety standards. DO NOT RECOMMEND

03/02/2025: Very friendly staff, the breakfast was amazing. The cappuccino was made with great care. The toast deserves special attention because it was one of the best I've ever had. This place surprised me.

29/03/2025: First off, having to order ourselves on an app of by the kiosk is fine, but you could literally see other people in the cafe being frustrated by trying to do this. Also, a tip is added by default and it's a hassle on the site to remove it. I really don't see why a tip should even be given when you consider the lack of involvement of the staff in your order, and the low quality of the food. When the shakshuka arrived the plate was absolutely boiling hot and burned my partner, and there was no warning given by the staff at all that the plate was hot As for how overpriced the food was, it would cost an additional €3.50 if you want to replace the eggs with your fry with scrambled eggs... Another 3.50 for a side of hallumi which tasted of nothing but salt €12.99 for a fry (I asked for no beans) that looks like this (toast not pictured) Bacon was so tough when I tried to cut it a bit few off the plate entirely, and the sausages were the dryest I've ever had in my life In total it cost €45 for a mini fry, side of fries, shakshuka with a side of hallumi, 2 soft drinks and a smoothie. This is the most overpriced and unwhelming breakfast we have ever had in Athlone and we've been living here over 8 years... While we were there someone obviously had food go down the wrong way and was having a coughing fit, so her friend asked for a glass of water, and they were changed for a bottle as they "don't have tap water"... It seems like they are overcharging and then instead of spending their money on good ingredients, or better chefs, they are wasting money on seemingly useless headsets for their staff and self-order kiosks, which don't even seem needed because the place is tiny. When my partner had finished eating someone came over to try to take both of our plates while I had food almost in my mouth. Then a few minutes later someone came over again and asked if we had any plates to clear while the only plates on the table were mine, and again, I had food almost in my mouth. It's like they were trying to get us out as soon as possible because we'd already paid... My partner literally said he would have kicked himself had he tipped ahead of time because of how terrible the experience and food was

16/03/2025: We stopped in on our way from Galway to Dublin. The food was worth the trip! Our server was a delight. We had the specials of the day, panko fish and homemade ravioli. The fish was maybe the best I've ever had. It just melted in my mouth. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed the town, the meal and the service.

04/03/2025: They need to clean the tables...properly. Lots of staff floating around but not keeping their eye on basic hygiene. Had to look for a clean table even though the place was almost empty. Sat at a table, cleaned it myself with a napkin. Put the napkin on a dirty table beside me and there it stayed. On the other tables next to me were used glasses. Never cleaned once. Whoever is in charge, please do your job. Customers should NOT sit down at a dirty table. Ever!

23/02/2025: Fabulous selection of Lebanese and Moroccan food. The food was fabulous, service was brilliant. None of the 8 of us left disappointed. Will definitely be back 😁

01/02/2025: The food here was top class. The flavours, unique blend of delicate spices and freshness were really unbeatable. The service was excellent. Have travelled all over the middle-east and honestly, this food really lives up to the standard. My advice? Don't be afraid to try something new. It really should be a restaurant that people in Mullingar think of on a regular basis as it brings a touch of culture and class to the town. I recommend trying the Main platter for 2. It had something for everyone. We couldn't even finish ours there was so much food.

29/03/2025: If you are looking for a cosy, homely pub this is exactly the place you need to go to. The staff are amazing (shout-out to Trish). If you're looking for a good cocktail she's your woman. The staff in this bar make you feel so welcome everytime and to make it even better the pints are unbelievable! I'll never come to Athlone without hitting Biddy O'Dowd's for one (or 10) 😂.

13/03/2025: Cool pub, great example of the pub in the living room. Full of punters for Cheltenham, which is a testament to how high in esteem this pub is held in the town of Athlone. Had a pint of Biddys, a home branded lager, did the job

14/02/2025: Warm welcome, relaxed friendly atmosphere, traditional Irish pub in a small rural town, full menu, really tasty food, great value for money. Just 2 mins off the N4 on our way to Sligo. Would recommend!
