15/07/2025: Hate this place over priced and you will regularly find out of date items on the shelves/fridges and some not out of date by only a day or two, many items can be out of date by 3 or 4 days.
Staff are so rude it is almost as if they are trained to be.

19/05/2025: My friend and myself visited here while we were in Mullingar. It is great bar. The staff are very friendly and very good at their jobs. On Saturday night they had live music. In the front bar they had a man singing and out the back there was a band both were excellent.
11/03/2025: Great spot for a quiet pint, but excellent atmosphere here when watching the rugby.

13/07/2025: Had a wonderful brunch at 2210 Patisserie this weekend. Very yummy and filling pastries. I would really recommend their cinnamon swirl. My friend commented that the coldbrew was so good she would travel down from Dublin just for it! The iced matcha was quite nice too! 10/10 would recommend and hope to be back soon!

27/06/2025: The lady who served me was super friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was in my style, marked by a 60s decor. The food was nothing special, but it satisfied my hunger after a long trip. I highly recommend it.

21/10/2024: Local establishment steeped in history. The long narrow bar is perfectly designed for the local clientele but never fear this is a warm and welcoming place.
The whiskey selection is epic and The beer garden is a paradise. My dad is on the wall. Beside the elephant.

25/06/2025: Great place for the kids! Good prices! Good sized food portions! Only problem is they NEVER have full fat milk. Only woke milk. For that reason I won't buy tea or coffee.

25/07/2025: I can honestly say, I had the worst Red Thai Curry, I have ever eaten! Maybe Mr Wong is better with his Chinese dishes! The service and atmosphere, however, was very good.
01/07/2025: Visited mr wongs last Saturday for my mums bday and were greeted with a gluten free menu which was fantastic , the woman serving us was delightful and friendly and the food came out instantly , reasonable prices and a great meal we will be back!

19/05/2025: Staff are lovely folk who always have a kind word, but also fast & efficient. Very comfortable café to sit it with loads of sockets available, topped off with a fantastic selection of treat coffees and hot chocolates, new recipes often. You don't get hit with the franchise in this place, it's always a delight to visit the Mullingar branch.

Tried many other bars in the town as per recommendations and always start and finish in this pub.

17/06/2025: I was really disappointed with pasta primavera. It's mostly cream and penne with tiny scraps of vegetables that are diced into miniscule chunks. I imagine the profit margin on this pasta is incredible. The atmosphere was bland, like my pasta. I did like the service however, but the uniform is dated. Overall I'll probably never think about this place again

29/06/2025: On our way to the west coast, we wanted to stop for a bite to eat. When we asked if they were still serving food, as it was already quite late in the evening, the bar staff rudely asked us, "What do we want?" without even looking at the menu. It was then slammed very unkindly onto the counter. To our surprise, they only had pizza on the menu. Since we had no appetite for that, we left without eating.
30/05/2025: After a long work day in Dublin, I stopped in for a drink while waiting for my lift home. I’m not a local but live outside Mullingar.
In short, don’t come here if you aren’t known to the bar staff or owner. Despite 3 staff on, I was ignored and had to move twice to even get served. White Wine was corked and warm and it felt so unwelcoming I left my drink and walked out. Ended up in Canton Casey’s across the road where the service and welcome was warm & genuine.
Not sure why some pubs in Mullingar are like this but it’s embarrassing and unnecessary. Wouldn’t recommend to non locals or tourists at all.
