16/06/2026: One of the best steak in town… friendly Staff… attention to details … spotless clean … A good spot for families and friends

06/08/2026: I walked in this restaurant at 22.30, tired from working all day long and travelling from Sligo to Dundalk. The service was fast, the food arrived fast and the taste was excellent. I love Chinese and i had it in may different places in Ireland. I got the house special black bean sauce plate!

05/04/2026: Very friendly staff, food amazing and great value

06/09/2026: I can't even believe this happened. I literally just walked past the pub after Dunnes Stores and heard some lovely live music so walked in. I think there was some sort of mix up where my first drink was put on the event tab. I wasn't asking for anything for free and went to buy a second drink later. What happened next is hard to even believe. The bartender who offered me the drink was later on shouting at me saying that I didn't know that the whole bar was actually some private closed off event (keep in mind I had been there for hours with no idea of this) and then a man was suddenly like "you better get out or I will call the gardai" on me for not knowing I was at some private party. It was all very confusing and startling after being there for hours.

30/08/2026: Friendly staff, a real mix of people in the place enjoying themselves. It's clean, comfortable and the food is good.

12/04/2026: Lovely place with a fun atmosphere. Very friendly and professional staff. The decor is really cute and the cake is amazing

08/04/2026: Lovely food and coffee also handy parking in the church up the street

06/09/2026: Really lovely food, great service and have no hesitation in recommending this excellent restaurant! Will definitely book again.

29/08/2026: A great spot to eat and drink 👍

10/09/2026: *Update- This location continues to go down hill. The portions are tiny. Find meat if your lucky whilst the price is outlandish. When they place the pitta in the hot plate every thing is stone cold inside. Dreadful I won't return

04/09/2026: New staff are great. Pita was delicious!

28/07/2026: Popped in to watch the all Ireland final. Had a pizza one for my son and one for myself, didnt have to wait too long. It was a nice pizza, tasted sweet which was a bit strange but otherwise cant fault it. The staff were lovely, polite and helpful. Had good seats and they had plenty televisions so could see the game from every part of the bar and also in the beer garden. Atmosphere was great mainly due to the mix of fans from Kerry & Mayo. Lovely place to go and relax, have a drink, cam also bring in the kiddies. Highly recommand a visit.

17/07/2026: One of the best pubs in Mullingar

19/07/2026: Good craic good guinnes cheapest in mullingar

07/09/2026: Nice staff, great food, fair prices.

23/08/2026: Same as it ever was a very tasty meal

16/08/2026: The atmosphere and food at Insomnia are good, but unfortunately, the service really needs improvement. The staff were not friendly or welcoming and made me feel as though they were wondering why I was there rather than making me feel like a valued customer. The staff also seemed unfamiliar with the menu and were unable to answer basic questions about what was available. One of the women working there spent a lot of time on her phone and did not respond properly when I tried to get her attention. It’s a shame because the food and atmosphere are good, but the unfriendly service made the overall experience disappointing. I hope the management can address this, as better customer service would make a big difference.

17/05/2026: Very nice Insomnia. Excellent service and delicious sandwiches.

28/08/2026: The beer was nice. The margherita pizza was bland - the child’s pizza by contrast actually looked handmade and authentic and a nicer sauce vs the adults pizza which looked shop bought. Didnt feel a genuine Italian pizza restaurant.

19/08/2026: Highly recommended, chef recommendation risotto was delish , also we mention there is a birthday person with us, they made us a suprice with ice cream and candle and happy birthday song.. it was such a sweet moment.. thank you very much 💗

19/08/2026: What a great wee bar , older crowd , great atmosphere ,the band were brilliant they played covers but made them their own , could have listened to them all night. Easy dress code compared to some snooty bars further up the street.
