The best restaurants in Wexford

27/10/2024: I don’t often leave reviews, but after my visit to La Cote on Friday, I felt compelled to share my experience. I was genuinely surprised by the level of unprofessionalism displayed by what appeared to be the restaurant manager. I personally witnessed this staff member drinking a glass of wine while on duty, which struck me as not only inappropriate and disrespectful to guests but also a clear health and safety violation. For a restaurant of this calibre, such behavior is both unexpected and concerning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses this issue moving forward.

18/10/2024: Oh my, had an absolutely beautiful meal, from start to finish at La Cote tonight. 3 of us went and 3 of us left smiling. There was nothing we didn't enjoy. The food, service and atmosphere was amazing. Thanks you Paul, Edwina and team. We will be back 💜💜

21/10/2024: Fantastic spot right near center of town. We went in before a night at the Spiegeltent which is only few mins walk away. Food was excellent ( had the lamp shank and was perfect ) great wine selection. We had great service and fun with the waiter, Paul. Excellent value, definitely be back.

17/10/2024: I have enjoyed so many lunches and dinners here and never been disappointed. Had my birthday dinner there and I'm still thinking about it. Food was superb. Lovely wines. Excellent professional but friendly service. Simply wonderful

28/10/2024: One & Done! First dish I ordered was pickled with salt. Dish was replaced but waiter didn’t even take the time to apologise for the inconvenience. Just average food, service, ambiance way better options in the direct vicinity.

27/10/2024: Must say lm disappointed by the service received l ordered loaded pulled pork nacho fries and received nacho fries without any meat at all. Firstly service received on the 27th of October was very poor and disappointing the person taking the order was highly not interested maybe because it was close to closing time and he was preoccupied from the back talking to someone else or seemed to be on the phone. Highly disappointed to be honest this is a first for me for all orders made and l don’t think l will be returning. Wasted money and very poor service.

14/09/2024: I cannot express the disgusting food I got from this restaurant. It is something that I cannot speak about; the hygiene is something that’s best left unspoken. Firstly, we ordered a vegetarian samosa and an aloo bonda. As enquired from the person in the shop, we had been promised a bonda with a great mix of spinach, chickpeas and potato. However as the result of it can be seen in the picture below. A small pebble of spinach and chickpeas was coated in a kilo of boiled potatoes and can be easily compared to the size of an atomic nucleus where the nucleus is the spinach mixture. The overall crust and coating was old, dry, oily and soggy. If they had been any flavour in it at all, it would’ve made the suffering a lot better. I felt like I had been served the entire bag of potatoes from Tesco in a single bonda. The aloo bonda tasted a lot of uncooked turmeric! It was so strong I could barely eat it. The bonda was terrible and awful; I wouldn’t even wish it on my enemy! Secondly, the vegetarian samosa was tiny! Without a microscope it wouldn’t even be visible! We were given 2 pebble like samosas for 6€. The mixture inside was very bland, and the crust was oily and not hygienic at all!! Talking of hygiene, the whole restaurant seemed like I was in an abandoned attic. Soo dusty and the floors were so oily, never mopped! The chair coverings had turned black from the soot and I shouldn’t say anymore or I will puke. The quality of the restaurant itself was very poor and I have no clue how it is still supported by HSE. To conclude, you can see the amount and time it has taken me to write; you should know that this is pretty true. If you want a real Indian meal not the best place to go. If you are a person who doesn’t really care. 5 stars for you!

08/09/2024: Me, the wife and our 2 kids found this wee spot on our travels around Wexford town. It's an old school wee cafe/dinner. We were looking for a place to get some breakfast, as it was our first tone in Wexford town. Me and the wife got the full Irish breakfast with tea and toast. It was cooked to perfection, and it was just the right amount of food. The youngest kid got a sausage and bacon toasted sandwich, and the eldest got scrambled eggs, beans, and toast. They absolutely devoured it, as did me and the wife. I'd recommend this wee gem to everyone, and I'll definitely go here again the next time I'm in Wexford.

14/10/2024: Really nice woman behind the counter, felt immediately at home when entering! Got reccomended their scones by a local who said it’s the best in town! And it was nice! With seeds and cranberries. Thank you for the generousity stable diet

03/04/2024: I found this place by accident, I was walking past and it looked inviting. I was warmly greeted as I entered this spotlessly clean restaurant. I ordered and my order was promptly brought to my table and was very satisfying. Toilets too were spotless. Next time I visit it won't be by accident.
