The best restaurants in Wexford

17/01/2025: we went here as a party of 4 for new years eve , with two people who were gluten and dairy intolerant. which can be issue at times while dining out. would highly recommend this establishment. The food and the atmosphere from start to finish was fantastic . What really impressed me was the gluten free bread is made fresh on site , it was absolutely delicious, instead of the usual Tesco free from stuff. It's well worth the trip.Can't wait to come back

11/01/2025: Had dinner here before Xmas and was delightful from start to finish…could not fault anything with cooking skills top notch (always has been but portions sizes are now perfect for meal) and a big shout out to the young waitress she is a credit to the business and will go far in the industry. Hopefully restaurants like this and other in Wexford will be kept as needed

13/01/2025: The premises is in a good location and a wide selection of drinks are on offer. However, the business is more of an expensive restaurant than a pub. There is no atmosphere. The proprietor has poor people skills and can be quite rude.

27/01/2025: Got a takeaway delivered to a nearby hotel, it was really delicious! Each curry very unique and full of flavour. I only leave a review when I’ve been genuinely impressed so thought I’d leave one here to say thank you and keep up the great quality! Delivery driver was really nice too

01/02/2025: One of the best pubs in wexford, great music over the sound system, and best of all, NO televisions, which creates the atmosphere and chats. Great selection of whiskeys and beers. Great staff and service, well worth a visit.

15/01/2025: My friend and I visited this pub last night and we had a brillant night.The live music trad session was the best I ever heard.Rory played so many instruments I was mesmerised..we sang along with the lads all night.bar staff were lovely too.we will be back

29/01/2025: Food is absolutely the best I have eaten by far. But very frustrating with their opening times as iv arrived in a few times after checking opening times on google to find them closed when they say on google times they are open. Would cause a hesitation for me in future on making plans to go there as cannot be sure they will be open.

26/01/2025: Exquisite service today, I wish I caught the name of our server today, he was a ray of sunshine on a cold january day. Went above and beyond, singing happy birthday and presenting my mother with a brownie and ice cream. Food was delicious, the rosemary chips are lovely, burgers were delicious. The food is fantastic and the staff really make the place. Thank you!

02/01/2025: One of my best friends and I. Decided to try the Red Kettle,the staff were very welcoming, patient and helpful. The two of us had a blast, our new favourite cafe

15/12/2024: Called in today. Prices are very reasonable and food is good quality. Great little spot for breakfast or lunch.

31/12/2024: I love this restaurant. Really good quality food served all day. A lovely modern restaurant, great menu, not cheap but good value for money. Healthy food and plenty of it prepared well. I had poached eggs and avocado on country bread. It was affordable and delicious. The coffee is still at pre Christmas prices too. Most coffee shops are over charging for coffee theses days .. I've seen it at Insignia and Costa for E4.50 and E4 30 per small size respectively. The Trough still charges E3.40 which is a big saving. Lovely views of the harbour too. And very nice staff. I love it and highly recommend this restaurant/ coffee shop.

02/02/2025: The wings were a disaster, dry and old and as if they had been reheated 5 times, the Thai shrimps were the cheapest frozen food from Tesco. for main courses we had duck, i.e. red curry with pieces of dry skin from a week ago, and sea food curry was ok. the decor of a cheap bar and the sticky menu. Overall, I wouldn't go back there.

04/02/2025: I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful work and services provided at Flory's ❤️ Even from the first contact, the owner was so incredibly responsive and kind, and continued to keep everything such an easy experience through out. This lovely shop went above and beyond to help fulfill a very special birthday request, and I am just in awe and so in love with the results! Amazing amazing amazing 🍰

06/01/2025: Flory baked the cakes for our wedding in September. They were amazing every body commented on how wonderful they tasted. We had a main cake and some smaller samples in different flavours as well as gluten free. They all tasted gorgeous. The presentation of the cakes was beautiful. We were delighted with it all. I would 100% recommend Florys Bakery. Thank you so much Flory for your hard work and help on the day. Your cakes were amazing.

16/12/2024: Reservamos una mesa para 5 personas hace un mes. Llegamos a un lugar muy ocupado con una gran multitud para ver el fútbol. Se nos informó que nuestra mesa se despejaría en 5 minutos. Entonces comenzó la "diversión". Nos llevaron a una pequeña mesa rodeada de muchos aficionados al fútbol y solo había 4 taburetes. Me encontré con una mirada en blanco cuando pregunté dónde me sentaría. Luego nos dieron el menú y nos dijeron de la lista de artículos que no estaban disponibles, incluyendo el plato del día. Tenga en cuenta que esto era a las 6 pm, que era solo el comienzo del comercio de la tarde, no el final del mismo. Pedí hablar con un gerente y su actitud fue "¿qué esperas en la semana antes de Navidad?" Pagué por la ronda de bebidas y me fui sin el ofrecimiento de una disculpa. Evita este bar si quieres que te traten como a un cliente.

23/01/2025: I've stayed here on many occasions over the years and I will continue to do so. The Whitford House Hotel is a very warm and inviting place to stay. Val is a terrific host. The management and staff are amazing. Always so good humoured and helpful. Rooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Wonderful atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. The food is delicious. Beautifully cooked to order using local produce. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for an overnight or longer sojourn.
