The best restaurants in Wexford

28/11/2025: Cozy place of about 15 tables. Early-Bird and 2 additional seatings. Very small staff that hustles. The flavors on all dishes were spot on. My rare+1 steak was exactly that. The prefix makes it easy, but you can ala-cart if you insist. Beer and wine was available, 4 pages of the menu. As a critic? The exploded spring roll doesn't make sense. The genius of a spring roll is the mix of flavor in each bite. Same with the deconstructed dessert. Why make pie hard to eat? Enjoyable place solo or couples.

21/11/2025: Amazing seafood. The monkfish was delicious with a squid ink bulgar and lots of interesting accompaniments and my wife had a lovely citrusy lemon sole. Will be back. Thanks guys

28/09/2025: Wonderful little cafe/restaurant. Had the full Irish breakfast. Everything was gorgeous. The staff are lovely and very welcoming. Definitely recommend.

27/11/2025: New review posted today on end of first review - Waiting for library to open was never as good😊popped into the red kettle - nice crowd of people coming and going, ordered pancakes, maple syrup and crispy rashers on side with a latte. All arrived hot, sweet, crunchy and delicious! Even better was the price €8.40 - wow - this has to be a go to cafe in wexford. 14/11/2025: Super friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. The food was so lovely, great portion sizes (the fish curry and the shrimp mango curry were both excellent). We very much enjoyed our visit (happy we decided to shelter here from storm Claudia).

03/11/2025: They're not pet friendly, we were 6 people that we all want to drink, my dog is 30 centimeters she doesn't bark, she doesn't move she is so quiet, and they didn't allow as to drink because of the dog that was even in a bag in my arms, the place it was EMPTY! So disappointed....

26/12/2025: I stayed here the day before Christmas Eve and overall the experience was just okay. The check-in process was awkward from the start. The reception staff member serving me walked away mid-conversation after asking if I was checking in, and another staff member had to take over. It came across as abrupt and unprofessional, especially for a four-star property. I've read the low rating reviews and it looks like other people have similar experiences. Not very good for a 4 star Hotel, this isn't Ibis Budget. There was also confusion at reception with Christmas gifts displayed behind the desk. Every other guest checking in or out appeared to be receiving one, but my partner and I didn’t. When we asked, we were told the gifts were only for people buying gift cards, but there was no sign explaining this and we weren’t offered the option to purchase one either at check in. Given it was the day before Christmas Eve, it felt uncomfortable and a bit excluding. I later double checked with another staff member and was told the same thing, which just reinforced that clearer communication was needed. Maybe the person running reception should work elsewhere. The hotel itself was okay. The gym felt quite run down with older equipment, but the pool looked nice. I’ve since read other reviews mentioning similar issues with reception staff, so it may be time for management to review how the front desk is run, as the poor service experience seems to be a recurring problem. I'm glad I am not the only one!
