The best restaurants in Cork city council

28/02/2025: Visité con un amigo para tomar café y un bollo hoy. Entramos a ordenar y aconsejamos al personal que estábamos sentados fuera, ya que mi amigo es un fumador. Nos dijeron que alguien vendría y tomaría nuestra orden. 10 minutos después volví a entrar a pedir ya que nadie ha venido a nosotros, me avisaron que alguien estaría con nosotros en breve. Un miembro del personal vino a tomar nuestro pedido de café y bollo. Llegó café y un plato con cuchillos y servilletas pero sin bollo. Bebimos nuestro café mientras charlamos y todavía no hay bollos. Fui a pagar al personal de asesoramiento que no recibimos nuestro pedido correcto. Una respuesta sorprendida de un miembro del personal pero sin disculpas. Sé que no estábamos gastando mucho, pero éramos clientes como todos los demás y deberíamos haber sido tratados un poco mejor. He comido muchos desayunos, almuerzos y cenas en Silver Key, pero después del mal servicio al cliente de hoy no tendré prisa de regreso.

23/01/2025: Pedimos los mini desayunos, sin embargo, nos parecieron decepcionantes. Cuando llegó el plato olía a aceite de cocina poco atractivo. El tocino frito era sabroso, pero estaba goteando en aceite, en general la calidad de los ingredientes era más 'gasolinera' que restaurante. Podría haberlo hecho sin las patatas.

03/02/2024: Used to enjoy the grub here. Customer loyalty must mean very little because my last 5 orders have been barely edible.

23/07/2023: BEWARE! The website still takes orders and charges money for pick up and delivery, even though the restaurant has been closed for several months according to new tenants.

25/01/2025: One of the best kebabs I’ve had in a long time. Very very tasty. Shoutout to the chips too, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The guys working there were very friendly and knew how to cook!

19/04/2025: Hermoso entorno. Excelente comida y servicio. Pollo tikka masala y arroz pilau, ajo nan, peras nan. Increíble chutney de cebolla.

30/03/2025: Encontré un pelo en mi entrante. Otra persona ha reportado haber encontrado cabello en dos de sus platos. No hubo disculpas, pero conseguí un arrancador de reemplazo. En general me pareció que la comida era muy promedio. Nunca más.

04/01/2025: Realmente no disfruté de esta experiencia. El interior del restaurante es precioso. Ahí es donde terminan los positivos. El personal era increíblemente destacado. Nos apresuraron a entrar y salir del lugar por el personal que no quería estar allí. Cuando nuestras aguas y cafés fueron bajados, fueron dados con un resplandor del personal. Fuimos tan educados en dar las gracias por todo en cada momento, solo para tratar de obtener un poco de amabilidad de vuelta, pero fueron respondidos por el silencio y una mirada. La comida estaba en el lado caro y no era de un alto nivel. No vale la pena el precio en absoluto. Cuando nos íbamos, el personal nos atravesó a toda velocidad preparando mesas sin decir que me disculpara. En general, el personal creó un ambiente horrible para estar con comida que realmente no lo compensaba.

04/01/2025: The view was amazing, but the food was either far too bland or far too salty (I had the mushrooms on toast with poached eggs and my partner had the poached eggs with smoked salmon - both difficult dishes that should be a safe bet.) The staff were surly and disinterested, both to deal with and when moving about the restaurant (pushing past in a rude manner us as we were trying to leave and even the occasional glare - I must point out we were very friendly and didn't cause an ounce of fuss during the meal.) Overpriced, poor food and unwelcoming atmosphere

01/04/2025: Met a friend to get a coffee from Boxt on Bandon road, and on the walk back to campus I realised the coffee I payed 4.50 for was cold. I did not walk back to Boxt to complain as I didn’t have time before my lecture. We were passing the Starbucks when I realised my coffee was cold so I stopped in to ask the staff if they would kindly heat up the coffee I bought from Boxt ( I tried to buy a €2 chocolate bar to show my appreciation for their helpfulness). However, instead of being kind and helpful, they were argumentative and rude at my request. The coffee from this Starbucks is never great, so when they offered to make me a new hot coffee I politely declined as I didn’t want to pay another 4.50 for a bad coffee. I asked if they knew of any microwave on campus I could use to heat up my coffee but I was met with more blunt and rude responses. Overall staff were rude and unprofessional, disappointing service for a student cafe…
