01/10/2025: I bought battered sausage and batter burger and chips the batter was still raw and undercooked the pork sausage and burger were stale the meat smelled rotten

31/07/2025: The chipper is by no means bad and I come here from time to time but I was here recently and I have say the service left me annoyed and feeling short changed. The price advertised for a burger and chip was €6.95 and when I handed in my €10 the change I was given was €3. I know its only 5 cents but if their prices say €6.95 I expect €3.05 back. I doubt I would have been charged anything more than €6.95 if I had used my debit card. Giving your customers their correct change matters!! The other thing that annoyed me, and while I was ok with the outcome, I found the lack of asking problematic. I personally enjoy salt and vinegar on my chips however, I know a lot of people don't. When the staff member was serving the customer ahead of me he poured the batch of chips into the tray and asked the customer ahead if they wanted salt and vinegar to which they said yes, the staff member proceeded to dress the chips accordingly and served them. Then when it was my turn the staff member just bagged the remaining chips in the tray and gave them to me without asking if I wanted salt and vinegar or not. As I said, it made no difference as I personally like salt and vinegar however, many people don't and I found this to be unprofessional. I would suggest that the owner and staff need to review their business practices.

05/06/2025: We had to explain what a rasher was. Then he took the order after 5 times we repeated the order. After all that he said "now wait" and started serving the next person.

27/09/2025: The pizza was OK, but the service is horrible. Hire better people.

02/09/2025: Lads were sound to take an order off me just as they were closing. Pizza was delicious, highly recommend!

01/09/2025: The food was only okay. The spice bags are flavorful and the curry was good but was in no way fresh. The service took forever as the young lady working the food stall was chatting with what I assume is a friend or off duty coworker who was smoking in front of the ordering station. She was so distracted she left out our vegetable rolls. It could use substantial improvement.

26/08/2025: This is my favorite spot in Cork. It has become tradition for my friends and I to get spice bags here after a night out. The portions are large, the flavor is great (get the satay sauce!!), the price is reasonable, and the staff is always kind and quick when getting the food out. I have not eaten a spice bag that even compares to Wok ‘n’ Roll.

05/10/2025: It’s a Chinese food shop with a buffet-style counter at the front. You can make your own box from the food selection: • Box A (€10): 3 items • Box B (€12): 4 items • Box C (€18): 5–10 items Drinks are separate (no meal deal). When you go in, pay first at the till — just say which box you want and if you’d like a drink. After paying, a staff member will make your box and you just tell them what food you want. If you don’t like what’s in the front, there’s also a kitchen menu where food is cooked fresh and you can ask to make it vegetarian, vegan, halal, or gluten-free. The chicken is halal, but fried items are cooked in the same oil as pork ribs. There’s no dairy in the food. There are limited vegan, vegetarian, and halal options from the front buffet, so if you have dietary needs it’s best to order from the kitchen menu instead, where they can modify things more easily. Staff are friendly and helpful. They take cash and card, and the portions are pretty big for the price. It can get busy around lunchtime, so try to go a bit earlier if you can.

23/08/2025: Got lunch there today and it was lovely. However, one of girls working there was so rude, I was actually flabbergasted at how she spoke to me, she told the girl who was serving up my food that I jumped the queue (which I didn't) I corrected her and explained that I was waiting for my food and didn't jump it. She got so angry, I told her there was absolutely no need to be rude but she continued with her rant. I've never in my entire life had anyone in retail/food speak to me like she did. She needs to reconsider her career choice in my opinion. Regardless of that, the food was really fresh and tasty.

26/08/2025: As a first-time customer I found the service is rude from the Asia staff member. She just pointed to the cutlery/tissue without a word n cold face when I asked as first time customer which felt unfriendly. In a traditional Irish restaurant in Douglas, I think management should consider staff selection as they represent the place. For the food, it tastes fair for the sandwich, the strawberry mocha was okay.

22/08/2025: The hot chocolate was not good, the chocolate was bitter and chocolate powder can be seen undesolved, also the prices you see are more expensive if you dine in than take away

17/09/2025: Captive audience here at Cork airport. Interesting looking meals and variety of snacks. Contrary to some other comments, the coffees were pleasant enough especially the newer spiced pumpkin latte. Barista was friendly.

27/08/2025: I've never had worse coffee!!! Bleh! Flat white like from the trash!

24/07/2025: Just ate here for lunch. Had a chicken breast sandwich with bacon and cheese meal. By god was it horrible. Re-heated chips and pre cooked chicken breast re-heated. Bacon tasted awful also. Burger was also cold. Far from "Fresh" as advertised! Had the same in the supermacs at junction 17 recently and it was very enjoyable, hot and fresh. Hence why I said I'd try it again. Little island outfit is awful bad. Not recommended at all. I should have known as it wasn't busy and all the other food outlets were.

06/06/2025: Very poor service in this SuperMacs. Ordered food. Only three other couples in store. Waited 20 mins and no food. Went to counter to ask about food, told it would be brought to the table, another 10 minutes before food arrived, when it arrived it was wrong. I should have just got a refund. There'll be no next time. Don't expect much from this place.

12/09/2025: We got tickets a week before the event and they won't let us in!!! The queue to get in was 2 streets down and even we paid for the entrance the security won't let us in!!! How is it okay???

07/09/2025: I had no problem getting into voodoo before but there's this bouncer who refused me twice but leaves the same people in who are ten times worse, my friend got in later on that night which I don't understand which it made me look like a absolute idiot, I had no problem going in there but it's that one bouncer that never leaves me in but he lets the people who are regulars and never bothers asking then at all what way to ruined the night

20/08/2025: That was my last trip to this maxol. I get charged a different price every single time for a salad roll but it's usually between 3.70-4.50 mark which is fine. 5.05 this time, no meat! One sticker says 4.30 and an extra sticker 0.75 for an (extra filling)? That's me done here.

11/05/2025: I went in the store around 5 PM. There was hardly anyone in store. Only one person working, he took my order. I ordered 3 Chicken Kebabs and 1 Vegetarian Kebabs. He said it will take 20 min. but it took more than 30 min knowing the fact that only he was working in store little delay is understandable But , when I reached home there was no vegetarian kebab, all 4 kebabs were chicken. I called store to inform that we did not receive vegetarian kebab, the person on call was adamant to accept that he did not gave vegetarian kebab. He was again and again saying that he made on his own, it’s not possible that vegetarian kebab is not there. I told him that I am opened all the 4 kebabs and all have chicken in it. He was not at all ready to listen to me or accept this let alone apologise for his mistake. In the end I had to hang up call with no apology, no vegetarian kebab and no refund. I was so frustrated but he did not care about it. He was only fixed on he made it on his own. I paid and did not even get to eat anything. I would not recommend this place at all.

13/09/2025: Food is very nice and good sized portions but pricey. Recommending the slightly spiced chicken salad bowl ( which has a spiced yoghurt sauce) and the barnyard chicken toastie ( which has a BbQ mustard sauce). The fresh cream desserts are equally generous in size. It had a very airy open sit down area. They blend their own coffee as well.

03/09/2025: Stellar service from staff. On my own, feeding my baby and they went above and beyond. Owner really looked after me. You can see how by setting an example at the top - it trickles down. Everyone is fantastic. I’ll happily pay for that kind of service.
