15/07/2024: We were hungry, we were loaded, we took a detour to grab a bite to eat, we walked, climbed, sweated, we arrived at 10:45 p.m. at this snack bar that was supposed to close at 1 a.m., it was closed. Correct your hours or better, given the other comments, change jobs.

30/06/2024: Over the top prices for really bad food. €21.55 For a bowl of disgusting soup, cremated ham sandwich. and a cup of soup with brown bread. If the food was even tasty it wouldn't be so bad. but it was disgusting. The filling in the sandwich was miserable .the soup had too much coriander .. we left it behind. I will not return.. Disgusting rubbish.

01/05/2024: O'Brien's - just an average sandwich bar. Could not actually believe the prices here. €9.75 for a very average chicken sandwich with a few rocket leaves & 11.75 for a chicken ciabatta. I know the rent must be very high, but really, you could eat nicer food in the centre for the same price. On the plus side, staff were friendly and efficient

26/05/2024: 3 rooms with different music. One of the rooms is a smoking room and a disco in one, which is great. Something good for everyone. Good fun guaranteed, the only disadvantage is that you have to pay for the ticket separately and for storing the jackets separately, which should be included in the ticket price.

28/07/2024: I ordered chips cheese and garlic with curry sauce on the side and this is wat I got.they put 2 easy single cheese on top of the chips🤣 too many workers that don’t care about wat there making and the girl working at the till needs to cope on and do her job properly. Chips was so soggy as well. Never again 🤢🤮

23/07/2024: Got delivery from here. Food was over 30 minutes late and all the food was cold pizza also undercooked. So disappointing and shameful I paid over 30 euro for this and was a robbery. So pissed with this service and food. Shame on the restaurant.

05/05/2024: Ordered via their own website, payment taken only to be told when I arrived to collect they don’t use the ordering system on their own website. Staff just shrugged when I asked about the money or the food

15/07/2024: I haven't tried the food so I cannot comment. But I went there today at 8:40 am, they open at 8am supposedly. There were other customers already there, but the baristas were nowhere to be found, and I waited more than 5 min.

09/06/2024: I cannot rate the food, but due to it being 4:20pm and they close at 5pm supposedly, I went it and queued to order and pay, only to be fobbed off and told sorry their appliances are all shut off for the day?!? So no one works for the last hour of the day?!?

26/09/2024: I wish I had seen these reviews before placing my order (a gift). In common with other reviewers, no notification was issued that my order was in process. When I contacted them after one week, I was advised that it was on back order in the UK with a lead time of two weeks. Three weeks later, I contacted them again to eventually request a refund as the occasion for which the gift was ordered had long since passed. My email was acknowledged but no explanation given or apology received. This seems to be a standard issue if the scant reaction of customer service is anything to go by. Shop around!

01/09/2024: I had a terrible experience with this company. I ordered two items; one was delivered in about two weeks (to the Republic of Ireland), and I didn’t hear anything about the other for weeks. They don’t notify you at all about the status of your order. I had to send them multiple emails just to get a response and find out that the item I ordered was back-ordered. They asked me if I wanted to proceed with the purchase; I said yes and asked them to call me so we could finalise the purchase with payment. They didn’t call me for a week, so in the meantime, I ordered and received the same item from another company, and I no longer needed the item from Nisbets. They had my card details from the first item and charged my card without the requested call and without my knowledge and permission. Their customer support is a joke; the automated email says they work from 8:30 AM, but if you call them before 9 AM, you’ll get an automated response saying the office is closed. I called them the day I noticed the unauthorised transaction, and instead of listening to the customer explain the problem, John from customer service got offended because he thought I was being rude and couldn’t go through the usual script he was given. He interrupted me while I was speaking and acted like a true snowflake. Clearly, he wasn’t trained on how to handle customer complaints and de-escalate situations. Sheereen, on the other hand, takes 6 full business days to respond to an email. They advised me to accept the delivery and call them to arrange a return via DPD, as refusing the delivery would mean a long wait for a refund. I did that and got connected to John again, who immediately hung up the call. I called again and got a female customer service representative who supposedly initiated the return process and informed me that DPD would collect the item the next day. That didn’t happen, and I even called DPD, who said the collection hadn’t been arranged. I had to call Nisbets two more times to get it organised. The third time, I got through to John, who confirmed that the collection had never been set up. He finally managed to arrange it, but DPD failed to pick it up, so I called again and asked if I could arrange the return myself and drop off the item at a DPD pickup location. The agent said I could, so finally, after a week of back and forth, I sent the item myself. After a few business days, I finally got my refund. I would recommend avoiding Nisbets and ordering from somewhere else due to their long processing times, shockingly poor customer service, and their prices. Since they have an Irish website and location, I thought delivery would be quick, but it’s just a dropshipping store disguised by good advertising in Ireland. I wish I had read the reviews before I ever ordered from them.

23/10/2024: Your staff are rude and unfriendly! My two kids went in there today wanting to order something to eat while waiting for there bus and they had the cheek to laught at my daughter when she asked something before placing the order so she and my son walked out and went somewhere else to get food instead .

08/10/2024: Typical hotel restaurant bar. Pasta bolognaise was marvellous. The city could have been better. The deserts were delicious. I went to this restaurant with my family after it had poured in cork. I would go again.

15/03/2024: This bar is an awful reflection on Ireland the fact they have a captive audience is very obvious. The alcohol is possibly the most expensive in the city and the food is extremely poor aside from being prepared extremely badly. If this bar was outside I n the real world it just wouldn’t simply survive. But then that says more about the owners then anything else.

29/02/2024: Shocking: 6.40 for a bad pint of beamish served by absolutely miserable staff. This could be many peoples’ last impression of Ireland, please have some pride.

27/06/2024: I have eaten in abrakebabra before. Not recently, but still. Always enjoyed it before. Had a Doner Kebab today. It was horrible in so many ways. Meat in it was good quality as always, but there was very little of it and it was mostly filled with very boring salad items. For nearly a tenner I'd expect more. The worst thing about my kebab however was the bread that was brittle and dry, therefore it fell apart the moment I touched it, so I was left with all that mess inside the soggy paper not able to hold it together in any way to actually eat it. Eating it was literally infuriating.
