08/06/2025: Had the classic. Great home made sausage with just the right spices. Roll held together till the end. Onions and peppers were tender and fresh.

04/06/2025: Contained in the huge English Market SC ,this place stands out from all the other exceptional vendors. Just a small stall with usually only 3 workers, it can turn out food to die for. All sandwiches are make rite on the spot. You can customize or order any of the house specials. Grab a special, find a quiet spot, (not possible) and enjoy.

15/03/2026: My name is brendan Hughes and I had a table booked-confirmed and paid for on Thursday 12 March. When I arrived on Sat 14 to fulfill my appointment the staff were unable to find it but eventually the lady behind the counter must have found some reference to it and told us Table2. We were shown to a table beside a fire. There were two of us and the table was the size of a Singer sowing machine. We are not small people could not possibly eat while seated side by side. So I asked the lady could she possibly seat us at a larger table and she refused. When I tried to reason with the lady she accused me of raising my voice. So not only were we treated with utter contempt we got no meal because we could not eat in such a crowded situation..having driven from Dublin was not great. This lady had no manners or respect for customers. I would not recommend this place unless you want to be insulted. Her attitude was do it her way or leave----so we left. Faulty Towers comes to mind for the bad manners.

13/03/2026: Rather hidden, but food worth the search. Good menu based on fresh local ingredients especially fish, presentation simple yet nicely innovative. Good wine list. Service rapid and friendly.

23/02/2026: Mick Finn’s in Clonakilty was absolutely fantastic for our hen party on 14th February 2026. From start to finish, the staff looked after us so well. We had two activities there, and the team were so welcoming, and helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, and they really helped create a fun, relaxed atmosphere for the group. They even threw some ABBA on for us to have a dance. 10/10!! Their friendliness made such a difference and helped make the day extra special. A huge thank you to everyone at Mick Finn’s for your kindness, professionalism, and for helping us make such lovely memories. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend Mick Finn’s for any group celebration or even to pop in for a drink - the staff are brilliant and up for the craic!

31/01/2026: Best pub in town, feels like home, lovely staff and musicians

06/10/2025: We had a BBQ for our wedding day 2 at the Alley Garden in August and our 75 guests were delighted. Super friendly staff and lovely beer garden to enjoy some fresh air, great for live music too (we had some trad going on). Food was simple yet tasty and buffet style was efficient. We had brought in some of our wedding decoration and it made the place really cosy. Thanks Keith & team for the service!

11/09/2025: Friendly bar with a chatty bunch of locals. Dosent look like a place for food but I was i pleasantly surprised. Ordered fish and chips. Big white leafy flakes of fresh fish in delicious batter. Chips were good but the atmosphere was great. Id recommend it for food & drink.

28/12/2025: These pizzas are seriously good. It’s real pizza dough, not that cardboard stuff. The flavours are delicious, I can highly recommend them.

03/12/2025: My complaint is about the owner. Leaving only one girl working on a busy day is absurd!!! Nobody should do this to a staff. It’s ridiculous.

13/11/2025: We waited a long time for the food and the owner was unfortunately unfriendly. It was also cold in the restaurant.

09/09/2025: I booked a table in advance for a birthday meal for my partner yesterday evening, neither of us had been there before, and we were both very impressed. Our host was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the steak in sichuan sauce and the aromatic duck hotpot. Plenty of flavour, the veggies were fresh and the meat was tender, we'll definitely be back.

10/11/2025: Great spots loved the chips and burger

31/10/2025: This place has gone to the dogs. Used to enjoy the fish. Then they stopped selling fish. OK, I'll get a beef burger. That was tragically bad. Dry like it had been sitting in a hot box all night. Then went on to the chicken. I've had the "Breast in a bun" 5 times now. 2 times out of the 5 it was nice. That's terrible odds with the prices they charge. It's just gone really, really downhill.

01/09/2025: Went to see a Saturday evening session. Music was average but the audience of 60 and 70 somethings nursing their Seven Ups all night seem to be hell bent on spoiling the younger peoples' night out with their glaring and hushing. Its an Irish pub for goodness sake. If you want to listen to music in silence spend a few Euro and go to the Opera. House. The manageress who seemed to support this nonsense seemed to be trying to deliver the impossible for zero financial benefit.
