The best restaurants in Cobh

05/05/2025: Stayed here for a night with my family. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy.10 min walk to the titanic experience and the Spike Island tours.

05/05/2025: The food was very delicious, well prepared. We couldn't eat the variety of fish and seafood because it was Monday, a shame. We had fish and chips and the fish was very juicy and the batter was perfect. The chicken wings are also very good. The chilli prawns were a little bland, but well served. Very good desserts. The best service from the staff, The price is quite adequate.

30/09/2024: I got chicken chow mein and to tell you I could have made it nicer and cheaper at home is saying something and I'm not Asian. We were on a wkend break with the girls and one of use collected to order for us. We'll the noodles were way over cooked and the chicken looked as if it was thrown in and that's all I had. So sauce as it was so so thick on soggy noodles that it was a dry sickening meal to eat. I wasted €10 on that crap when I could have made it for half the price at home. No more takeaways for me as they are not worth it anymore. The food outside has gone so far down hill in quality and taste that its not worth it. My friends meals were nice but I'm not taking that chance. No vegetables not even onions just noodles and chicken. This was only on Friday 27th September 2024. I had to throw the whole thing away as it was so disgusting I wouldn't even feed to a rat, he probably wouldn't eat it either come to think of it. No point in doing the place up to dish out crap food. Very disappointed customer here. I only gave one star out of politeness otherwise in my option of what I received they don't even deserve that as I've eaten there many a time and it was delicious but food is gone to he'll in a hand basket since 2020. There isn't many good and nice food places anymore. It's a pitty.

13/05/2025: This pub charged €6.50 for a pint of Coors. The craic was mighty with Derek Burke music. The service wasn't great. Des the barman was sullen and never broke a smile all day. Apparently his own best customer as he even said he was drinking all day. We left some very good money there and felt his attitude was terrible. We went back the next day and the pint was €6.00 . So apparently yesterday we were paying for the music with the extra 50c per pint. This is disgraceful. We love coming to Cobh, but will not return to the Mauratania.

18/03/2025: The pub is quite small inside, located on the Main Street front of the sea. It is nice to have sitting table outside and be able to enjoy the sun (when there is sun..). Friendly dog place, you can ask for a water bowl.

04/05/2025: Had a nice burrito bowl, good staff, nice meal Would recommend as a takeaway joint

29/04/2025: Pretty authentic Mexican food, of which the Birria tacos are the absolute star. They are tender and greasy in all the good ways, and the dipping sauce is phenomenal. They also offer some sparkling juice drinks that are refreshing. Portions are decent. All dishes come takeaway. There's upstairs seating but feels like a quiet cafeteria or library.

28/02/2025: Ordered Fish and Chips and Pizza, Pizza fairly good, Fish cooked nice, good size portion but very bland batter, no flavour, Chips not great, very bland, no flavour, Overall not great, Wouldn't recommend, won't go back

22/08/2024: An 10 year old asked they to use the toilet but got refused I think that a abit unnecessary.

23/05/2025: Super busy takeout on a holiday weekend. Their mistake on my order made me wait an additional 15 minutes. Excellent fish, but soggy, not quite done chips. Appears popular with a younger crowd.

28/03/2025: Fish was nice, it was precooked then finished off as many places do now not perfect but ok. The one thing I didn't like was the 'skinny chips' frozen crappy frys not chip shop chips at all. The curry sauce is a bit strange too more like curry baked bean juice.

02/11/2024: Cafe Vega Cobh Excellent breakfast 972041583 Definitely not permanently closed!! Had super breakfast here today Sept 30th 2024 - well cooked wholesome food and friendly staff.

31/08/2024: Perfect ! This is the word to define breakfast at Vega. Quality Price at the rendezvous. Top notch service!

13/05/2025: Nice pizzas, not too doughy and tasted fresh. Great customer service as it didn't say online ordering was unavailable and we'd made an order - but the guy took our order inside the place and had it ready for us :)

03/05/2025: The Best Italian Pizza, we were passing through Cobh, we visited the town and we haven't eaten such good pizza yet. Pizza Campagniola is delicious, Grazie 🙂
