L'officina by Dunne & Crescenzi
Dublin
08/08/2024: We were regulars here around 8 years ago and it was one of our favourite spots to eat in Dundrum. We would often have breakfast here. Fast forward to 2024 and what a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT this place has become. Rest assured, your disappointment will also be served at great expense to your wallet. I had the chicken, which at a cost of nearly 30 euro was absolute robbery. Pan fired battered chicken fillet with some potatoes and picked veg. Tasted ok, but probably worth half the price paid. Rest of food was average too with kids menu particularly poor. When paying bill I noticed at the till that the till machine and price I was being asked to pay was about 10 euro more than the billed receipt. On asking I was told this was a table charge for having seven people seated and they could "write " it on my receipt if needed. Never came across this lark before! Unfortunately for a place we loved so much, we will not be back. Another sign of the Irish food industry crumbling as owners prioritise their profits before quality.

Las milas de Beto
Dublin
28/10/2024: My wife is from the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, where pasties are very prevalent. Needless to say, it was pretty neat to find them while visiting Dublin. They were very good and very close to what we are used to from the UP. They are a great “walking around” snack. Highly recommend and will go back.
13/10/2024: Tucked away in a quiet alley are the best pies. The traditional Cornish pasty was an absolute treat and took me back to my childhood. Loaded with filling and covered in a thin, fluffy pastry .. mind blowing and no heartburn afterwards. friendly and prompt service ... keep up the great quality of product, can't wait to come back very soon and try your other pies and will definitely have another traditional Cornish. Highly recommend little gem.

Empoli Restaurant
Dublin
30/06/2024: Our first visit was last night and it was an absolute delight. We were greeted and served by April and Emma, both extremely friendly and helpful.
We had the deep fried brie, stuffed tortellini and the chicken Jujeh, all of which were full of flavour and perfectly presented.
This little gem is a must visit and will be one of our regular haunts from now on. Definitely the best Italian in the North county area.
17/06/2024: Excellent food, great choice, brilliant value for money and really lovely staff. What more could you ask for?! We will definitely return.

Rooftop Bar and Terrace
Dublin
07/07/2024: Pre theatre treat. Had reserved and asked for rooftop if a cancellation happened. Very grumpy impolite host told us there was no availability on rooftop. This was fine. We asked to sit outside. We were accommodated. We sat down at 15.40. It was not busy. Our order was taken at 15.50 for a bottle of red wine and a vodka diet coke. At 16.05 the drinks eventually came and it was a glass of red instead of a bottle. We then asked for the bill at 16.30.the bill was given to us with 4 meals on the bill for the table beside us who had ordered at 16.05. We asked for the bill to be adjusted. Waitress was apologetic. The bill returned with charges for a bottle of wine and vodka diet coke. The waitress voided the wine and we paid for the vodka diet coke. She did offer for us to speak to a manager. We didn't want to waste another minute of a kid free day. We went to Charlotte Quay across the road and had a lovely evening. So so disappointing with a 5 star to be so chaotic unorganised and rude!
27/06/2024: We were seated and then ignored. the staff kept walking past us but would not make eye contact. It took over 30 minutes to finally get their attention and drinks took another 15 minutes and we had to nudge to get those. would not recommend at all.
