18/09/2026: The food was good and great presentation, although it was more expensive than expected. We didn’t have to wait long, and the staff were nice and friendly. The restaurant is quite small, though, and it can get busy and loud. Our table with stools wasn’t particularly comfortable, and the space felt quite tight.

11/09/2026: Amazing experience for my partner’s 30th birthday! Well looked after, our waitress was unreal (sorry I don’t know her name but she was a queen) - if we lived in Dublin would be back in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

30/06/2026: O'Neills was the perfect place for lunch! There was no wait for a table, and the service was fantastic! Quick and very friendly. The bar itself was so charming. But the absolute star of O'Neills was the delicious food. My partner got the bangers and mash and I had the Beef Guinness pie. Both of these dishes were incredibly delicious. The Beef Guinness pie was made with a lot of love. The pastry was flaky and buttery - so good. The beef was tender and juicy. O'Neills is so good, I could eat there again and again. Highly recommend!

23/05/2026: Pub review - Nice small place. Food presented ok. Chips were good. Beer as it should. The only why it is 4 stars is the beef burger - it was a bit overcooked which made it dry. I did not find any sauce it the burger, but maybe it is how they make it. But overall the portion was large and solid

11/07/2026: Fantastic experience, a true Italian restaurant of the highest quality: the fish is incredibly fresh and prepared with care and respect for the ingredients, and the ravioli are amazing. I never expected such delicious first courses in Dublin. The wine list is extensive, carefully selected by the owner, who is a true expert. The prices, in my opinion, are fair considering the hospitality and high quality of the restaurant. Highly recommended!

12/09/2026: Honestly, yesterday was one of the best meals we have had as a family. The service was FANTASTIC, the espresso martinis were even better. All the steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides were absolutely delicious. We paired them with the Pino Noir and a Malbec and they were fantastic!!!! Also special shout out for the focaccia and smoked butter, if we could have we’d have taken it home we would have, the butter had the perfect smoked taste and the focaccia was super soft and even better it was lovely and warm. I can’t thank you enough for that meal and your team, it is definitely the best part of my big brothers stag do and we will 10000% be coming back when next in Dublin.

11/09/2026: We really enjoyed the friendly service here and especially the sweet potato wedges. The peppercorn sauce was lovely too, as well as the passionfruit martinis. Unfortunately my steak/salad ended up having hair in it, but the staff were apologetic, offered to replace the steak and also took the steak off the bill. I will say that I did not see all the kitchen staff wearing hair or facial hair nets, so maybe this is something to look into.

26/09/2026: I am disappointed about the experience in this place. We are visiting Dublin for the first time. We based our decision to come here for the google reviews. However we discovered that it was not worth the price and the 4.7 star rating on google. Service is slow in general, I guess the fact that we came on a Saturday did not help. We tried to order wine twice and the waiter would not give us their attention. We ordered a porterhouse steak for two in medium and it arrived late, cold and more cooked than medium. The veggie plate it comes with is ok but nothing spectacular. The two red wines we ordered in the by the glass section were very poor quality for the price. When we asked for the bill the lady just threw it on the table, as she was clearly in a rush. To be honest, I expected more for the place and the food, given the fact that it has so many good reviews. We tried a wine bar around the corner called Etto which was way better.

10/09/2026: I went to Bunsen with my four children, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We had not even finished eating when the waiter brought us the bill, which made us feel rushed and unwelcome. Chips so bad I understand that restaurants can be busy, but I believe customers should be given enough time to finish their meal without being pressured to leave. After this experience, I will not be returning to Bunsen.

11/09/2026: From my Italian perspective: Service was kind and good, atmosphere align with the Irish pubs. Food was disappointing. I ordered “the ambassador” a steak that is presented as their top cut (and the most expensive 48 euro). Medium rare cooked, plain no sauces. It arrived a nice steak cooked on a very dirty grill. The effect was a quite dirty surface of the meet which gave a strong bitter taste to it. I returned more than half of it, I was quite vocal with the 2 waiters. No chef or anybody from the kitchen came to acknowledge or apologise. They gave me a 10% discount …frankly no needed. I would have preferred something like. You are right, we got distracted, we now deeply cleaned the grill and please be our guest and try x. Ps: digestion was terrible as when you eat carbonated parts.

07/10/2026: This is place I would highly recommend for you steak( best in the city ) have there own butchers so they know own food( from field to. table) next to Christ Church up from Dublin Castle just make sure to book in advance get busy

03/10/2026: The price is worth it! The place is very quiet, with very little noise and dim lighting. The meat is top-quality, €130 for 900g, but it's worth every penny! The side dishes might seem a bit bland for us Italians, but overall they're good. The desserts deserve a special mention: the stout cake was very soft and not too sweet, while the dark chocolate mousse was very bitter—we're talking about maybe 90% dark chocolate. The crème brûlée was made with real vanilla, not vanilla extract. The only reason I didn't give the service a 5 is that they add a "surprise" €20 charge at checkout, which is supposedly related to booking/opening a table, so keep that in mind when you calculate. We ended up with €90 each, not €80, for this very reason. Highly recommended; the service is also top-notch.

11/10/2025: As a Uruguayan, I really appreciate a good steak — and **Tomahawk Steakhouse** absolutely delivered. I loved sitting at the counter with the **grill right in front of me**, watching the chefs at work while enjoying an **excellent Italian wine**. The meat was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and the whole experience felt authentic and warm. A truly **outstanding dining experience** — can’t wait to go back! 🥩🍷🔥

25/09/2025: Mind-Blowing Quality—Worth Every Penny! We are from Switzerland, a place where steak is already incredible, but this restaurant truly blew us away! The meat was absolutely fantastic—a cut above. We ordered the Delmonico and the fillet steak, and both were utterly perfect. The service was impeccable, and the wine selection was equally impressive. This is a genuinely high-end establishment with high end prices prices that are completely justified by the outstanding quality delivered. Nice flair and good service and vibes. Deserves the full five stars!

Nay, I jest not — I have wandered far and wide, tasted many a bun both foul and fair, and never have I found bread so soft, so worthy, that carries not a grain of gluten within it. 'Tis a marvel of the baker's craft, fit to rival any wheaten loaf. The beef itself was juicy as a summer plum, seared with a crust most excellent, and the toppings — crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, cheese melted to golden perfection — didst crown the whole affair like jewels upon a king's mantle. Each bite didst hold together nobly, the gluten-free bun neither crumbling to dust nor turning to paste, a fate that befalls lesser establishments. On the Overall Judgment In sum, good reader, I proclaim unto thee: if thou art cursed with the affliction of gluten's bane, seek out Bunsen Burger without delay, for here thou shalt find no compromise in flavor nor texture. A full four and one-half stars out of five do I bestow upon this noble house of burgers — a triumph for the afflicted and the hale alike. Fare thee well, and may thy next burger be as glorious as mine own

16/08/2026: This was our third time here, and my boyfriend brought me back for my birthday. It's quickly becoming one of our favourite places. We started with the oysters and a lovely bottle of red wine, followed by the Chateaubriand, which we've now ordered on all three visits. Once again, it was absolutely exceptional. We always order it medium rare, and the consistency is incredible – perfectly cooked, beautifully pink throughout and exactly the same high standard every single time. What made this visit even more special was that the chef, Tadhg, remembered us from our previous visits and sent out a little dish for us while we waited for our steak. Such a lovely touch. The staff were fantastic too, extremely attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. For dessert, I was actually planning on ordering the rhubarb and white chocolate cheesecake, only for them to surprise me with it for my birthday. We finished with a double espresso each, and it was a perfect end to the night. Sitting downstairs where you can watch the chefs cooking adds so much to the experience. We met Tadhg on the way out and were delighted to tell him personally just how exceptional his cooking is. Three visits, three amazing Chateaubriands. Hats off to Tadhg and the whole team. We'll definitely be back again.

09/08/2026: Went for a birthday dinner. We have the lamb rump and tomahawk as mains. Very disappointed with the quality of the meat and the very high price. The menu on the website is different than the menu at the restaurant. The meat was chewy, with a lot of tendons. The creamed spinach as a side was full of sauce, more like a soup then cream. The margarita was the most terrible cocktail in Dublin. They have the worst steak knives that could not cut through steaks at all. We were the first to arrive on the second floor and the music was so loud until the second table of guests arrived. The waiters did not come to the table and ask for our opinions. There was no such thing as service for the night. I did mention it was a birthday dinner when making the reservation but there was no acknowledgement at all. Very disappointed overall and would not recommend.
