11/12/2023: So old building 😵‍💫didn't like it at all

05/11/2024: Went on Tues, Nov 5th. Hassled from time we arrived about were we ready to order. Pressured to order. While eating lost count of number of times staff wanted to know if we were finished. Had chicken stir fry that menu failed to mention had sweet sauce, ugh!!! Instead of chips or side salad I said I'd have extra veg got cabbage, broccoli + carrots rather than stirfry veg. My husband very kindly gave me his dish as I hated mine.Left with indigestion as rushed incessantly. Such a waste of money for relaxing night. While still finishing food, guy came with bill at 20.40 to say kitchen closing so we had to pay. Could go on. In future, lesson, have a drink and then go to one of restaurants in area to eat.

01/11/2024: Used to go to this pub regularly on a Friday but all of a sudden every fkg table has a reserved label on it!!! It’s supposed to be a public house!!!!

29/09/2024: Nice meal and very friendly welcome and service. I had the hot seafood platter and really enjoyed it. The cheesecake was also lovely.

23/09/2024: Went out for a family dinner. Six people in our group. Garlic chicken overcooked hard crust butter had evaporated. Crabmeat in filo pastry was burned. Waitress said it would take 15 mins to replace. Steak??? 😔. Can’t believe the chef allowed this to be served. Years since last visit to this restaurant WILL NOT BE BACK

10/08/2024: Lovely pub and friendly staff. But sort the Guinness out lads, it was absolutely terrible! I took two sups and then left.

22/07/2024: The dining experience was ruined by the state of the floor nearby & under a nearby table-Cutlery under the table on the floor place not cleaned in ages.- a smell of urine also detected in the corner we sat in. Never again would I eat in this place. Place was buzzing & out the front was busy Lighting very low.

02/02/2024: Bought 2 sandwiches, 2 bottles of water and 2 bags of crisps - €27.68 (with a 10% discount included) and as if that wasn’t bad enough the sandwiches were dried out and stale - avoid this place at all costs - use the Tesco instead!

23/12/2023: Young woman with black glasses(no name tag) was so rude to us today. I used the toilet and normally after you order in any insomnia branch, they leave your drink at the end of the counter... but when I came out she was gone and left it well behind the counter. I was afraid someone would give out if I just helped myself behind the scenes so went outside where she was smoking and flirting with a tall coworker and asked if that was my coffee. She simply replied yes, accompanied by a look of what are you bothering me for. We won't be back as long as she's there.

18/08/2024: I ordered a party kit with 100 snacks, 50 sweets and a chocolate and strawberry cake. The snacks and sweets were very good, it was worth it, but the cake and the company's service weren't so great. The strawberry chocolate cake isn't bad, but it falls well short of what it could be, it has more whipped cream than chocolate. There's even whipped cream inside the cake as a filling. I would say that this is not a chocolate and strawberry cake but rather a whipped cream and strawberry cake. For the price it wasn't worth it. And worse was the service. I was told to collect the cake between 10am and 2pm on a Saturday, but no one responded on WhatsApp and it was unclear where the collection location was. I had to take a bus and spend 1h20 from one place to another, trusting that the pickup location was what I imagined. No one answered the phone or responded to messages on WhatsApp. If they were open for collection, why was no one responding? The experience was worse after collecting the cake. The packaging was smaller than the size of the cake, you couldn't close the box otherwise it would squeeze the cake and the cake would slip inside the box, especially if you go by bus. My cake, for example, touched the box several times during transit from one place to another. When he got home he was already out of character. Bad experience. I wouldn't buy cake from this place again! I'll leave some photos here so you can see how appearances can be deceiving.

27/08/2023: We headed into Lowry's on the corner. Place had a very good crowd inside, interior was nothing special, old style décor that looked like it hasn’t changed since the 80s. Ordered a Smithwicks, pulled fast from the friendly bar man. Some good banter in the pub, with a pint that was fantastic, and Elvis was in attendance, this pub was where the craic was building. Pity we had to drink up and head onwards on our trip. Good pub, will be back for sure.

21/07/2023: A neighborhood bar with a more affordable price and a pleasant atmosphere.

24/09/2024: The layout and set up of the bar was good as was the atmosphere. However the food was very poor. The veg soup was puréed and full of cream (not really a veg soup). The Cobb salad was smothered in something that tasted like English mustard (which I like but not too this length). Not a lot of options nearby so the prices are also very high. The bottles of soft drinks were tiny and a ridiculous price. I did question a few things but just got blank looks. Feel like I visited a diffrent place compared to other recent reviews

20/07/2024: Sanctuary bar ambiance and food was superb special thank you to Mr Devang for serving nicely. Overall experience was great 👍.
