The best restaurants in Dublin

23/10/2025: This was the most expensive breakfast I have ever had anywhere in the world. One small piece of toast, two small eggs and a few small pieces of bacon - €14. I asked for an additional piece of toast and was told that I need to get an additional portion of toast (2 slices) for €3.50. So for €17.50, I would actually have had a normal sized breakfast. This is how much I have paid for a continental breakfast in a hotel!!!! Food was average, came lukewarm. Ordered large cappuccino and it came with powdered cocoa with sugar on top. Without asking if I actually take sugar. The wait staff was nice but the rest of the experience was ridiculous. Never again.

22/08/2025: No puedo creer lo mal que le ha ido a Solo Café, Killiney, porque me encantaba. Todo fue horrible. El personal era realmente grosero y nos sentimos como si fuéramos un inconveniente al ordenar. La comida estaba literalmente tirado en la mesa y no recibimos nuestras bebidas hasta después de la comida, a pesar de que pedimos dos veces. La calidad real de la comida también ha ido terrible. Mi tortilla era dura y no comestible y venía con un montón de pasta horrible (decía ensalada en el menú), pero la camarera ciertamente no estaba feliz de hacernos saber en qué consistía una ensalada. Nunca volveré después de esa experiencia.

30/11/2025: The matcha was delicious and I really enjoyed it. There was also a great selection of special Christmas dishes – there really was something for everyone. The hot chocolate was also very tasty, but quite sweet and very chocolatey, so you can't drink too much of it. The atmosphere is cozy, the seating is comfortable, and it's easy to relax. The staff were also very friendly and attentive.

17/03/2026: Payed €9.50 for a spice bag today, brought it home just to realise the bag is literally half filled, was still left hungry after i ate it. Expensive enough for one spice bag as it is, but the fact it was only half full is kinda taking the piss. I’ll give them 3 stars because the food was nice, and it was St. Patrick’s day so they were probably up to their eyeballs in stress

03/02/2026: Was up by Dublin Formal Wear near the shop and decided to grab a takeaway from here. Food was lovely, fresh and piping hot, and the portion was great for the price. Service was quick and friendly too. I’ll definitely try other items from the menu.

24/02/2026: Went in here for a quiet pint with a friend I am on a crutch small disability r leg the barman that came on middle aged guy told me to leave because I was on a crutch so I'd had one pint was sitting on a stool at the bar went across the road to Kenny no problem there ill let you take what you may from this so much for friendly staff abs good atmosphere my friend complained to the barman and he said oh he might fall so blatant discrimination against a man with a slight disability by the way I have never fallen anywhere I would like to see what the owners have to say about this bar man's actions

01/04/2026: This is possibly the worse McDonalds in the country…ordered 2 kids meals with nuggets, there were no chicken nuggets, all chicken off the menu…It took about 20 mins to prepare 2 kids meals with hamburgers, not a glove in sight preparing the burgers 🤢🤢…it’s filthy…would never return…avoid!!

26/03/2026: Went there 30 minutes before the ireland match was supposed to start. And I ordered a drink. The drink was ready after five minutes, but they wouldnt give it to me. After 25 minutes of waiting someone eventually gave me the drink. Making me miss lots of the match. The kitchen roof was also dripping!

22/04/2026: Terrible place to eat. The service has always been bad, but this time it was even worse. I ordered a baguette and asked for something very simple: to have the soft inner bread (crumb) removed, as it’s heavy for me to eat. The person at the counter flat-out refused, even after I clearly explained my reasons. Their attitude was very rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. It’s unbelievable they wouldn’t accommodate such a basic request, especially when they don’t even make the bread themselves—they just prepare it. The lack of willingness to help and the poor customer service are unacceptable. I will not be coming back. After reading other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one with this kind of experience. I do not recommend this place at all. Not just because of the service, but also because the place and the food leave a bad impression. Avoid this place.

17/11/2025: Fast but very unfriendly service particularly from the café manager Emir, who seemed completely disinterested in the job. He was very rude to me in his body language and his tone of voice. The other baristas were extremely friendly but overall, the atmosphere of the place felt tense and claustrophobic. I've been here multiple times in the past but have never had an experience as profound as this. Not worth it coming back here again

13/03/2026: Used to be my favourite takeaway until they changed the curry sauce, i would drink the old curry sauce with a straw but now it's too spicy to even taste my food, change it back! I only ever ordered from here for the curry sauce.

11/10/2025: Lovely place at Blackrock market with delicious food and great atmosphere. The food is delicious and prepared with love and care. My favorite is vegan stew. Good selection of delicious and freshly made cakes. I highly recommend this place.

04/04/2026: (Booked on AirBnB) Great, central location and has option for three single beds in one room. Whilst the beds were comfortable, I would not recommend this place for light sleepers as there were extremely loud, thumping music on a parrarel street from 4pm (until past 10pm) which even made our toiletries literally shake on the shelves in the bathroom. Room was dusty, no tv and appalling water pressure - even attempting to flush the toilet was hard work which needed holding down and multiple attempts to do the basics. Shower pressure and temperature was awful, like a dripping tap and did not reach a warm temperature at all Handwash was a Dove bottle with some cheap refil, last time I checked, Dove shea butter handwash was not blue or translucent 😂🙃 Left bags at the 'reception' (pretty make shift desk in corridor) as room was not ready yet and it really was the definition of 'leave at your own risk' as bags were not secured in the back room or anything and just left by the doorway for anyone to grab if they wanted. Lift was broken for whole duration of our stay and would not be accessible for those that cannot walk up multiple flights of stairs. If you are on a tight budget and will only be in the room for sleeping then it is ok for the bare minimum bed but would not recommend otherwise especially for the noise pollution, which I am surprised not many others have commented on.

07/02/2026: The room was okey, but the bathroom got dirty so quickly, the room was quite cold too. It was not cleaned even though we asked to clean it if possible. The noise on the weekends was terrible, there is some techno club just underneath so don’t expect to sleep to until about 3-4am. The location was great though, very easy to get everywhere. So if all the above doesn’t bother you, it would be a good option.

25/06/2025: No flavour in one dish and other dish was inedible, like it had gone off! All went in the bin. What a waste of 50 something euro!
