14/07/2026: My wife and I, visiting from Canada with friends and family, were thrilled to discover this restaurant. I had the risotto, while others had the Beef Short ribs, Lamb, Chicken and the Sea Bass special. The meals, prepared to perfection, were outstanding. Very impressed with the quality of the food and the presentation. Also impressed with the attention and responsiveness of the staff. Overall, a wonderful evening and look forward to returning on our next trip. Dublin is lucky to have this hidden gem.

09/07/2026: A wonderful bistro, I had the early bird deal. Small menu, perfectly executed steak and chips, and a creme brûlée with raspberry sorbet to die for. Exemplary and knowledgeable service, and a very good wine list to boot.

15/05/2026: Consistently grand food at Dan’s - we had fish and chips and half roast duck with cheesy and croquette potatoes with sauté onions accompanied by a lovely Chardonnay and a nice red from South Africa. Well worth visiting

13/07/2026: We went in a group of 6 people for an early dinner with the fixed 3 course menu for 55€ + drinks. The food was great and the service also. I would really recommend this place. It is small and very cozy.

26/07/2026: A true Irish pub with excellent traditional dishes (generous portions). Extremely professional and friendly staff, even the younger ones. Plus, in the evenings you can listen to live music, which adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

24/07/2026: The nicest staff you could meet. We were there on All Ireland Hurling Final Sunday and we were so well treated. We didn't have food.

29/06/2026: Came for the Sunday roast as we're always excited to find a good one and had read great reviews. Unfortunately despite multiple nice touches and considerations like the gorgeous interior and the veggie roast coming with veg gravy for example, it was really disappointing. The roast potatoes were leathery, hard to cut and chew. The cauliflower cheese side was watery and not very well seasoned. The meat was soft and tasty but overall quite expensive for the portion size. Some of the digestifs also came as shots rather than in a glass with ice which I wasn't expecting. Wait staff are very friendly and attentive, but we did feel rushed. A heads up on pricing: a service charge is included in the bill, and for regular menus you have to order a certain amount per person, so it may not be suited to a group or special occasion as we'd hoped if everyone has to lock in and agree ahead of time.

07/07/2026: What appears to be a small pub from the outside is much bigger than expected. With an interesting decor and organization. It also has a large burger place on the lower floor. Which was actually great quality for a fast food venue.

27/06/2026: We went to the pub for drinks and not for food (they are co-located spaces) and it is self service. It is a beautiful place, relaxed, in my opinion not one of the nicest in the city but definitely one of the most well-known and busy! Very reasonable prices.

09/07/2026: Long story short: staff were great. Don’t eat here if you’re vegan or plant-based. Very limited options. Giving 5 stars because the staff did an excellent job of not wasting my time (which I appreciate). I called over the phone to confirm they have vegan options, and the Google Reviews said there were good vegan options available. But when I arrived, I discovered this is not the case. “Vegan options” means plain avocado toast or a bowl of leafy greens. There are so many restaurants in Ireland (even way out in the countryside) who offer excellent vegan options. Support those establishments instead.

01/07/2026: Lovely atmosphere, food was awesome, and staff were warm & friendly. Thanks for the great experience - and for re-setting my expectations. What I mean is, so many people in the US told me I would not find too much "good food" in Ireland and warned me I would have to eat Indian food or kebab if I wanted flavorful meals. We had the mussels & chips (broth was a touch too salty but still great!) along with the pasta & prawns. Irish soda bread was great as well.

22/07/2026: This one star is for the appetizers—they were absolutely delicious. However, the menu requires each person to order two dishes, and one of them must be a main course. When our mains arrived, I finally understood why they have that rule. Otherwise, I think most people would just order different appetizers instead… I ordered the beef fillet as my main course, but surprisingly, one piece was so tough that I couldn’t chew or swallow it. The quality simply doesn’t justify the price. One suggestion: if you’re charging this much, you should really use a better-quality soy sauce. Also, if you’re positioning yourselves as a premium restaurant, the sugar snap peas should at least have the tough strings removed. They were unpleasantly fibrous and difficult to eat. The dining space is tiny and feels quite cramped.

11/07/2026: Visited a few times over my time in Dublin. Got some great advice on Whiskey from the bar staff who all pointed me in different directions, all had their favourite, and all were honest about what they didn't like as well. Great atmosphere, parked up at the bar for a couple of hours each time, yarned to some locals, some tourists, and the staff. Highly recommend. Also some great beer too. Not just Guinness.

20/07/2026: Very intimate, and excellent food. Some dishes were better than others, but the overall experience, the accommodation for a dietary restriction, and the stand out dishes more than made up for it, especially for the price. The Birthday dessert and candle was a nice touch. I've seen 2* restaurants put in less effort. The lamb was phenomenal and unlike any lamb flavor we've had before.

28/06/2026: An excellent and well-balanced menu. We ordered wine pairings, and they were superb, with some surprising and very interesting wines. The table we were seated at was also particularly welcoming. A magnificent experience.
