04/07/2025: I saw the summer special for fish and chips and a glass of cava for €26 and decided to try it. The service from when we got there was great. We placed our order and the food was out in under 10 minutes. 2 cods were on the plate but I’d say the star of the dish was the tartar sauce never had anything like it and the fish was super crispy. 10/10 would recommend and the cava pairing worked really well!

19/07/2025: Elevated but casual experience with an elevated but approachable menu, modern and chic, great wine pairing, delicious and surprising. One pescatarian menu and the other meat and we both really enjoyed our individual portions. Staff was very attentive and welcoming and human. Great birthday dinner!

14/07/2025: My friends and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Bastible this past Saturday, and it was everything you'd expect from a Michelin-starred establishment. While every dish was delicious, a few stood out. The blue cheese and corn tartlet was so good. It was an unexpected combination that worked beautifully. Next up, the beef tartare was simply outstanding. And the mushroom custard *chef’s kiss* Beyond these highlights, the service was impeccable.

16/07/2025: Great haddock croquettes, but probably my favourite thing about the restaurant. Mains, I ordered the Irish Squid, Clam and Crab Claw Linguine. It didn’t have the sourdough croutons, no smoked pancetta but instead chunky bacon. It had enough pasta for two or three people to eat and the creamy Chardonnay was more soup butter and oil sauce that had cheese. Could smell the Chardonnay for the first few bites and then just taste a soupy buttery/oily sauce. Didn’t finish the meal. A long wait between starter and mains. Decide to skip dessert and got fresh strawberries from their food emporium store instead. Quite loud and serving staff not listening as requested a side of plain steamy broccoli brought out a dish with a whole of other stuff on it. Asked if the linguine came with the salad and potatoes stayed at the top of the menu said no and requested the plain steam broccoli as a side, which came out completely different and the salad and potatoes. Lack of communication and clarity, disappointing experience past the starter.

10/07/2025: Exceptional food. The special was delicious (Lobster tacos with pineapple salsa, crazy yummy). The main of linguine was also super srummy; it came with a massive crab claw and lots of mussels too. It was served with potatoes and salad. Everything tasted delicious. Excellent service also, very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

20/07/2025: While in Dublin, we came here twice as the food is that good. While PHX Bistro is not a burger joint by any means, the burger we had on our 2nd trip is so good I had to post. To paraphrase the Irish, it's Feckin amazing!

14/07/2025: Good bistro in Dublin. A good alternative to pub food. Recommended! We all enjoyed our dishes overall. There was one steak that was too rough to be enjoyed, and when we pointed it out to the staff, they apologized and offered to swap it for another dish (which was very good). They even offered a dessert to make it up. Our main waitress was very friendly. We were a group of six and the round table we were seated was perfect for us.

18/07/2025: Mellon’s sell the most delicious salad bowls. It is really hard to find healthy, great tasting lunch options at a good price but Mellon’s deliver on all fronts. I recommend the Harvest special!

24/07/2025: I really enjoyed the food here, and the Irish coffee was excellent. Even when it’s busy, the atmosphere is lively in a good way. The bar and dining areas are separated, so you can still have a proper conversation over dinner without too much noise. A great spot whether you’re stopping by for a drink or sitting down for a meal.

22/07/2025: Had pre show dinner with friends & really enjoyed it. A group of very fussy ladies, but nothing was too much trouble. We all had mains & dessert & a couple of drinks. The food was delicious & piping hot just as we like it. Staff were lovely, very pleasant & accommodating. We enjoyed it so much that I recommended a family of American tourists to try & they really enjoyed & thanked us for the recommendations 😀

20/07/2025: The setting and ambience of this restaurant is faultless . The interior takes you back to a by gone Era and I love that . We first visited this place 8 years ago . When we booked a trip to Dublin we both said we must revisit . So glad we did .

18/07/2025: Honestly, the best service we've ever experienced (just make sure you book in advance!). We had a reservation here for 9.30pm, but after a mistake with a play booking we had — we popped our heads in to ask if we could change our reservation to an earlier sitting. They only had one table available but they rallied around to make sure we didn't feel like an inconvenience. Other walk-ins that came in after us were turned away, so we were very grateful to have come in when we did. We were seated and greeted by the most lovely waitress (there's two lovely lovely blonde ladies working here and they were both FANTASTIC), and the man who greeted us at the door (a ringer for Stanley Tucci) was also so lovely. Honestly, the most pleasant and friendly service we've ever had in Dublin - and the food and wine were right up there too! Will be back without question - the food is fantastic (blue cheese risotto was a stand out!), but it's the staff who make this place truly special :) Thank you!

14/07/2025: Awful experience. Young blond barman and older blond bar lady were rude , uninviting and couldn’t wait to close up . I’ll never return and will tell my friends to do likewise . I’m writing this 2 minutes after leaving on a Monday night

08/07/2025: Food was okay, but not as good as expected based on other reviews. I had the steak and it was fine but nothing special. I suppose you will like your visit more if you manage get a window seat.
