12/03/2025: Went at a busy time, the food was decent but nothing too special. The ambiance was great, I wouldn’t plan to return but if someone suggested it, I wouldn’t say no.

11/03/2025: I had booked for the Ireland vs France Rugby match and asked for a table close enough to a TV - well we couldn't have been better placed as we had 3 TVs around us ! Food was lovely, atmosphere was great and staff very friendly ! The place is also facing the harbour which makes it great for the ones of us who were not too interested in the match :) Will surely come again ! Thank you

17/03/2025: AS A FOREIGN TOURIST: The performance was wonderful. They kept the audience active and engaged. Everyone who performed were EXTREMELY talented whether it was dancing or singing and playing instruments. As an introvert, they even had ME out of my seat dancing. I was beyond impressed and would absolutely come back a million times over, given the option. Food was also very well presented and fantastic quality!! Everybody in the staff was also super friendly with every interaction and very good and efficient at what they did. If I could, I'd rate this place 100/10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

17/03/2025: Absolutely fantastic! The music and the dancing were both wonderful performances!! They promoted audience participation and had a lot of variety in their show. The food was pretty good also, but the entertainment stole the show for the evening.

Pleasant service and one of the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life Despite the location in an area where one would expect to have tourist traps, I can only recommend this place Very good value for money for the neighborhood And for my French friends: tipping is not obligatory and it is generally set at 10% but you can tip as much as you want (or tip nothing at all)

25/02/2025: Enjoyed a meal here for Sunday lunch, I had the roast beef, which was delicious real good cut, my wife had fillet of cod which was also lovely, service was also good and the atmosphere nice also but the big letdown was the price of a glass of wine, €13.50, absolute robbery thus the 3 stars, can’t understand for the life of me how that price can be justified for a glass of wine

30/03/2025: Second time here - wanted to make sure the first time wasn't an anomaly :-). Such a great place! Plenty of parking even when it's busy, the staff is very welcoming and the service is great. The food was fresh, done well and with great care. The fries are outstanding. We were there with kids, plenty of food options and good desserts. Many options of draft beers, seems like since the place is busy the beer is very fresh. It's also very reasonably priced. I strongly recommend reserving a table, as it gets busy. Will definitely come back!

30/03/2025: The place is cool, no words to say. Quite big, nice looking, comfortable. The staff are good at their work. The parking lot is a free one. The outdoor area is great on a sunny day, a chilling place. The service was quick even though it was Mother’s Day. However, the food was so-so! It was fresh and good quality but dry and tasteless. We ordered a roasted beef and a beef burger, my friend would almost finish the coke stoke to swallow the food. I finished the ketchup to be able to eat my burger. Guys you need to cook the dishes juicy than that. Also, two glasses of white wine were ordered, it was warm, I feel sick myself so far because of the warm white wine.

04/02/2025: Had a fantastic lunch at Hartley's on Sunday. We went as a group of four and everyone in the party was blown away by the service and the quality of the food. We ordered the Sunday roast beef (28-day aged Sirloin), The Salmon Wellington, Baked Halibut special and the Leek & Gruyère tart. I wish we had taken photos- each dish was beautifully presented, suffused with flavour and cooked to perfection 👌. The wine selection here is excellent- you can tell that they've taken time to select a balanced and interesting list of wines. For example, it's one of the only places we've found in Ireland with Falanghina on the menu - an Italian ancient grape varietal which pairs brilliantly with seafood. For dessert we selected Prosecco Poached Pear and the Pistachio Tiramisu, both of which were gorgeous, but I was very impressed by the Tiramisu in particular. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the General Manager - Igor - has always gone out of his way to look after us and ensure we have a fantastic time. Thanks to him and the whole team. As a venue it manages to be that rare and valuable thing in a community - the perfect venue for both a special occasion AND somewhere you could pop in for a keenly-priced midweek treat thanks to the early bird menus and other offers. This is our third time eating at Hartley's in the past year and we're very much looking forward to going back again. While there are lots of nice places to eat in Dun Laoghaire, in our opinion this place is a significant cut above in terms of the quality of the cooking and presentation and I'd highly recommend it.

05/03/2025: A few visits now and without hesitation, this is the absolute perfect local pub. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, warm and friendly staff, a kitchen that knows what it’s doing…. the 12oz sirloin is to die for … very simply. If you are in the area, go!

26/02/2025: Wanted to meet here before the Bohs Rovers match but it was closed. Still closed at 4 after the match so went to Smyths. But then it was open after 6! Probably didn't want the soccer crowd.
