14/11/2024: My wife and I came to Ireland for our belated Honeymoon and 2 year anniversary. We were recommended to visit The Club from a close friend and couldn’t have been more pleased. We were welcomed with such kindness and the food was lovely. The wait staff checked on us regularly and make us feel cared for. This was such a wonderful visit and made a lasting memory for my wife and I. Many thanks to Dave and The Club!

10/11/2024: The Club in Dalkey is an excellent bar family run through many generations. The atmosphere is friendly and the service is great. The food menu has a nice list of delicious food which is reliably cooked and served to perfection.

The Boar's Head

01/12/2024: Tres de nosotros paramos aquí por una pinta de Guinness un jueves por la tarde. Nos sentamos en una mesa abajo, que estaba ocupado con los lugareños, mientras había un tráfico regular de gente más joven que se dirigía arriba. El servicio era amable y la pinta era preciosa.

29/11/2024: my American friend and I decided to spend our Thanksgiving here since they have a roast of the day on their menu. Lucky us, it was turkey! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was cozy and festive. I’d go back again

22/11/2024: I love this pub. This really nice girl called Caitlin served me. She was so friendly and got us all our drinks for the whole night. The atmosphere was amazing and I will definitely be returning every week just because of her.

Fish Shop

13/12/2024: Excellent seafood, friendly, helpful staff and a great atmosphere. I had the oysters, grilled John Dory & more oysers for dessert, washed down with a glass of Muscadet. Next time, must have the fish & chips (hake, haddock & plaice were on offer on the night I visited). The bowl of mussels looked delish too.

10/12/2024: Best fish and chips I've had in ages. Great starters and wine menu too. Update: they no longer offer the haddock crocquettas as take away, which is a shame. They are delish and travelled really well.

Foley's Bar

10/12/2024: Foley’s Bar is a place to recommend if you are looking for an authentic Irish experience. This pub is frequented by many locals, which gives it a friendly and warm atmosphere. Local beers are served there, and the atmosphere is further enhanced by live local music. I particularly appreciated the presence of musicians who sang local and international pieces acoustically, accompanied by guitar. A perfect place to fully experience the soul of Dublin!

20/12/2024: Sorry we went here should have known better when they thought it was ok to seat us for a meal in the bar where you couldn't hear yourself think. Then we where directed upstairs which was a lot better. Until the food arrived my meal was ok apart from my Guinness which tasted stale I had sausage & mash my wife had the fish & chips with a side of gravy, which I have to say was disgraceful the peas were over salted, the gravy was out of a packet then the fish we were told it was haddock, don't think I have ever seen pink haddock if they had run out of haddock why didn't they tell us instead of trying to hide the fact that they had served her salmon. I would not recommend anyone going for something to eat here.

17/11/2024: We had a great week at Dylan. The entire team were nice, the service was top notch. The communicated well, were on time and even gifted my daughter a paddy bear.

01/11/2024: dublin was the first stop on our honeymoon! we booked through costco and the dylan was nothing short of amazing. beautiful rooms, beautiful building and a beautiful location! it is a little outside of the happenings in downtown but the area is quiet and that is exactly what we were looking for. the food was delicious, breakfast was included in our reservation so that was helpful for us. the staff was lovely and incredibly accommodating. i cannot recommend this place enough! i hope we are hopeful to come back as soon as possible!

19/11/2024: I get lunch from here most days when I’m in the office and it is one of the nicest and freshest places for food in the area. The women who run the deli and shop are very kind and are always putting on specials to switch up the menu. Here is one of the specials I got that they recommended and it was delicious! They also made sure of my dietary and allergens before selling. Would definitely recommend!!

19/09/2024: Increíble negocio familiar. He oído críticas muy favorables de sus Deli, pero por una vez estuvieron a la altura de la publicidad! Una amplia variedad de ensaladas y acompañamientos para acompañar muchos rollos y panes diferentes. Colm te saludará en irlandés y me hablará largo y tendido sobre todo, desde fútbol hasta comida, mientras me hace un delicioso blanco plano. Me senté en las mesas de picnic afuera tomando el último del sol de septiembre! Todo es increíblemente razonable para la calidad de los ingredientes y el servicio. Uno de los pocos lugares únicos que quedan en Dublín para deliciosa comida deli con una sonrisa. Asegúrate de visitarlo, no te decepcionará.

Roly's Bistro

18/12/2024: Met with three friends for our Christmas outing. Table was booked for 2.15. The starter and dessert were nice but we very disappointed with the main course. The turkey seemed to have been reheated which was accompanied by stuffing which was inedible. We were in the Terrace Restaurant. It was extremely cold and whatever heating they had on was turned off at 4 followed by the lights at 4.30. Service was slow. As regular customers of Rolys we were very disappointed and will not be returning.

10/12/2024: Went to Rolys as we do every time we go to Dublin as a special night out Waited over a half hour after our booking time before we got our table On getting our table we got the menu and was disappointed as it was a much smaller version of the normal Staff were running around setting up tables We ordered and waited to sample some of their lovely breads but we weren’t offered any yet the tables around us were Main course very disappointing Was looking forward to this meal for weeks terribly dissatisfied with every element of it
