06/03/2025: Just right for a quiet family lunch at short notice. No unconventional seafood, but the cod was well received. All the food was well presented and tasty. Local craft beer was welcome
04/03/2025: This was the first place we ate on arrival. We were greeted by Conor who took the time to write down several places and restaurants to visit. Ate there several times and the food and service were perfect.

06/01/2025: Stayed there with my family over Christmas. Everything was exceptional. Staff were lovely and very attentive. Food and drinks were fab. Dog friendly room was great and we were even able to bring our dog with us to the bar and around most parts of the hotel. Very nice hotel in a great location. They made it a very special Christmas for us. We will definitely be back.

The food is average and the decor feels tired in some respects such as the wooden table on the entry to the main restaurant upstairs ( appeared to be damaged and looks to have seen better days). It's little things like that that create the perception. I've been to Aqua several times, once on my own volition and then twice as part of other people's events and feel that my review is based on several experiences. As said, it's pricey, you're paying for the location and views and the cost of running restaurants is not cheap which puts context to price but feel the value for me is not there
09/03/2025: Great food, great service, lovely surroundings and fabulous views. A little pricey but if everything is as good as it is you can overlook that.

17/03/2025: Julian was a great host and looked after us for the day, there was never a time when I waited for anything, we asked to change seats two times as we had some difficult guest with us and he accommodated us every time, and asked to change the rugby game twice and he did, we had a great night and have come back many times since. Thank you Julian can’t wait to come back again

31/03/2025: Great food, great service, great atmosphere - what more could you want? We followed other Trip Advisor reviews as we were in the hotel next door - and we just couldn't walk any further. The wife's face when we walked in spoke a thousand words. Looks like the type of place where the piano stops playing and all the locals stop talking and glare at you. Don't be put off it isn't like that at all and the wife really warmed to the place. More authentic than a lot of the other 'authentic' pubs advertised in Dublin.
17/03/2025: Siamo stati a cena il giorno di Saint Patrick ma nonostante non avessimo prenotato ci hanno fatto accomodare. Abbiamo iniziato la cena con 2 zuppe del giorno per poi proseguire con uno stufato di manzo con la birra e concludere con una cheesecake al cioccolato e gelato alla fragola, 1 birra,1 coca e 1 Sprite per un totale di 55 euro.
Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo e mancia lasciate più che volentieri.

14/03/2025: As Belgians, we stopped by Bruxelles during our city trip. We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle in the streets. There were no other people downstairs in the basement, we sat there nice and quiet and were able to relax for a while with a fantastic bartender with whom we had a nice chat.

16/02/2025: Went here for a Valentine's dinner and we were very happy with everything. The food was delicious, service fantastic and a lovely atmosphere. Thanks to Camila & staff for great and friendly service, and for making a surprise Valentine's dessert plate too. The calamari starter was unreal & the beef shin lasagne as a main was delicious. The cocktails are handmade and top notch.
25/01/2025: Very nice and easy restaurant in an area which needed something like this. 4 stars instead of 5 only for the limited food choice, otherwise recommended. The nduja mayo in the hamburger makes it a new pleasant experience

17/03/2025: Arrived in scholars early on st Patrick's day asked several times to order food no 1 came so we went down to order food told we be up to take order no 1 came we followed waitress to be told she be with us in 3 minutes no q came back to see the pub getting busier told it would take up to an hour & 1/2 for food said that's ok we would put order in no 1 took our order ended up leaving with very Hungary kids & adults very disappointed
03/03/2025: DJ’d here recently for a private function. The function room was upstairs, there was a lift so the load in was very quick and easy. The room decor is nice with a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this venue for any private event or function.

If it’s trad🪕 🎻 🥁 Don’t just chance it, pop in anyways, and find out when kick off takes place😉 Meanwhile you’ll enjoy the vibe anyways 🍻
02/03/2025: Foid wasn't nice , frozen chips ,cheap fatty steak and it came out with all the veg and trimmings on the plate like a school dinner it was tasteless, very disappointed
