14/11/2025: We only ate here. The food was recommended to us but we found the chowder bland. The soup of the day was a potato leek and it was better. We had gone up to the summit (highly recommend) and were coming back down for lunch. I think there were better options closer to town. But the ambiance was lovely and the view was quite nice.

14/09/2025: What a delightful surprise to find such an outstanding spot just a short stroll from our hotel (Dylan Hotel). The Waterloo House delivered on every front—food, service, atmosphere, and that rare feeling of being genuinely welcomed. 🧅 The Onion Rings were a crispy, golden revelation—light, flavorful, and dangerously addictive. 🍽️ My wife’s dish? I can’t recall the name, but I do remember her smile. That says it all. 🍺 The beer selection was a standout—diverse, well-curated, and full of local flavor. The bartender guided us with care and offered a small sample to help us choose. I landed on the Wicklow Wolf, and now I’m on a mission to find it back home. It’s that good. 🎨 And just when we thought the evening couldn’t get better, we noticed the picture of Sinéad—a quiet, powerful tribute that added soul to the space. Whether you're in for a pint, a bite, or a moment of calm in the city, The Waterloo House is the kind of place that makes you feel lucky to have found it. We’ll be raising a glass to this memory for a long time.

31/10/2025: This place is very nice.lovely wood burner stove makes it very homely atmosphere and the staff are unbelievable helpful and the food was excellent.went here twice in 3 days and both times couldn't fault it with loads of gluten free options

10/11/2025: The best of Dublin. Without a doubt, this pub should be a must-visit for any visitor to Dublin. The food is spectacular, from the Guinness stew and the traditional fish and chips to the chowder. The atmosphere is unbeatable, in true old Irish style, and the service, although occasionally a little absentminded, is very attentive and efficient. Highly recommended.

17/10/2025: So we were on vacation from the United States this bar was recommended to us for live music and good food made the walk all the way to it and we're told we could not enter because we were wearing tennis shoes we're tourists walking around all day wearing comfortable tennis shoes and this place denied us entry very disappointed very disappointed

14/10/2025: Stayed here for one night, our room was clean and had a comfortable bed. The girl on reception was very polite and friendly she checked us in and out, very knowledgeable of the area. Room was warm and great powerful shower for a second floor room. The location was quite tricking to find google maps didn’t take us directly there. Stayed here to get the ferry the next day was a 30 min drive so was convenient for us. There’s a great under ground car park that leads directly in to the hotel. Overall a great stay and would return if in the area.

11/10/2025: Very good hotel, welcoming staff, very nice room, good bedding (for us), very good breakfast too. The location is right next to the tram, which is great for getting around, but it's also a bit noisy (the tram sounds loudly as it passes). As for parking, it's free. You have to enter the parking lot, get a ticket, and ask the hotel reception for a pass to get back out for free. On Google Maps, you have to select "Euro Car Parks - Tallaght Cross East," otherwise you won't be taken to the right place.

03/11/2025: I went out for dinner with my husband to celebrate a special occasion, and the waiter completely ruined it with his arrogance. We spent €123, and he started complaining and mumbling behind the counter because we didn’t leave a tip. When we got up to leave, he even had the nerve to ask for the tip directly. I’ll never come back here again — his frustration with his own job completely ruined our experience. 03/11/2025 at 8pm

30/10/2025: Great service the food was good but a bit pricey for a pub meal.

16/11/2025: I have mixed feelings. The food was tasty. Not outstanding, but really tasty. It's a shame it was difficult to find on a large plate, as the portions were miniscule. The service, however, was truly poor. The only smiling person was the woman who took our coats. The rest of the staff were difficult to even recognize, as they showed a complete lack of interest in us. I don't even know who our waiter was, because we simply had to catch the one we happened to see and get their attention. I left the restaurant hungry and disappointed, despite the delicious food.

21/03/2025: Esta es la segunda vez que he estado en Locks... Siempre iré aquí cuando esté en Dublín. La ubicación en lo que parece ser una zona residencial tranquila cerca de un arroyo o pequeño río es agradable. El restaurante está en un espacio genial y acogedor. El menú no es enorme, pero la comida es deliciosa.
