22/04/2025: Great local pub and some really good bargains at the off-licence. Very good selection of high quality, good value wines. Food served nearly all day. Function room available for hire. Staff are all friendly, helpful, and very professional.

16/04/2025: Nos alojamos en The Castleknock Hotel por dos noches y en nuestra segunda noche solo busqué en Google cerca de lugares para comer. Este lugar apareció y estaba a solo 5 minutos a pie, las críticas eran mixtas, pero le dimos una oportunidad. Gracias a Dios que sí... ..era un martes por la noche el fútbol estaba en la televisión para el marido y había bastantes mesas libres. Pedimos dos entrantes entre 2 ad y 2 ch... ..chico que nos habrían llenado para la cena y estaban deliciosos. Mis niñas limpiaron un tazón de alitas calientes... .. aparentemente las mejores alitas de la historia y yo y mi esposo comimos nachos de res, él dice que las mejores que ha comido... y nosotros hemos comido muchas. La red era excelente también, no es una queja de nosotros y el vientre lleno! El vino y la cerveza tenían un precio muy razonable y nos dieron la bienvenida incluso con niños, no se apresuró en absoluto, aunque nos fuimos justo después de las 9 ya que soy consciente de que la gente disfruta de un espacio libre para niños para tomar unas copas! Este es sin duda un gran lugar para algo de comida y algunas bebidas... no es buena comida si eso es lo que estás buscando, pero mucho mejor que “pub grub”!

13/05/2025: Went here with my wife, son and 2 grandchildren on Sunday. There was all kinds of football on the many TV'S all over the place and a very good atmosphere throughout the place. Once we found a suitable place to sit, so that we could watch Liverpool match. A very helpful lounge girl asked us if we were having food or drink or both. We decided to have a few drinks first and would get dinner later. About N hour later we ordered food. I had the Ruben sandwich with cream of Veg soup, my wife had a Ceasar salad, my son had the Beef carvery and the 2 kids had nuggets and chips. Everything was fabulous and the service was also excellent. My daughter in law arrived later and had the Beef and Guinness stew, which came with a soft roll and mashed potato's. Again it was fabulous. The Lord Edward is a fabulous building with many beautiful picture and unusual decor. But most of all is their staff are great and the food Fab Can't wait to go back.

01/06/2025: 13 of us went to have a family dinner to remember my brother who died earlier in the year. The service was efficient and friendly. The room cool to the point of uncomfortable. The food very poor and overpriced. My started salmon pretty basic and uninteresting. Breads were nice but had to keep asking for more butter. Lamb for main was just okay sauce and gravy not nice, mustard grained mashed potato not nice and unseasoned. Strawberry pavlova was actually meringue not pavlova, the cream appeared not to be real cream far too sweet, a scattering of strawberries. All very disappointing for circa €70 a head. I would not recommend at all and won’t be returning

14/05/2025: Als Trauzeuge bei der Hochzeit meiner besten Freundin war das Mittagessen im The Saddle Room ein echtes Highlight. Der Empfang mit feinem Champagner setzte den perfekten Rahmen. Als Vorspeise genoss ich die Ziegenkäsemousse – wunderbar cremig und raffiniert angerichtet. Der Kabeljau als Hauptgang war auf den Punkt gegart, begleitet von harmonisch abgestimmten Beilagen. Den Abschluss bildete eine köstliche Crème Brûlée mit knuspriger Karamellkruste. Der Service war erstklassig und das Ambiente elegant – dieser Moment bleibt unvergessen.

27/04/2025: Great little discovery: Morilles Bistro: the restaurant upstairs. Exquisite cuisine. Was way beyond my expectations. A French restaurant where waiters and Maître D speak French.

11/05/2025: Good centrally located pub on the outskirts on Temple Bar. Had live music while we were there until 11pm then music system playing the usual classics. Staff were very nice. Perfect spot for a few pints and a boogie until midnight. Toilets were very clean.

26/05/2025: Horrible experience here today. Arrived here today with my 86 year old mother. Table was booked, waited quite a long time before someone arrived to greet us. Not a good sign. Downhill from there. Plenty of tables free but host insisted on putting us at a tiny table right beside door and on top of a family next to us. I literally said to him we need somewhere a bit more private to talk and he was very rude and unhelpful,I said we could even go to a table outside. he said we would have to wait even though there was about 10 tables free. Horrible attitude. Have respect for your customers especially if elderly. We ended up walking out. Will never return.

22/03/2025: Vuelve a desayunar. Tenía los huevos benedictos con salmón en pan integral casero. Probablemente el mejor Benno que he tenido. El salmón parcialmente cocido en pan integral casero era una combinación increíble. Los huevos estaban perfectamente cocidos y la salsa holandesa fresca estaba deliciosa. Bien hecho a los chefs. El servicio estuvo a la altura del excelente estándar habitual Volveré pronto.

16/05/2025: What could have been such a good night was cut short by poor management. The manager was generally just rude and had no time for us. Very disappointed and we will not be back ever again. I wouldn’t come back if I was dying from thirst…

16/05/2025: I stayed at this hotel located in Dublin, Ireland for three nights, and I had a great experience. The hotel is clean, and the buffet breakfast is delicious! The staff was very kind and helpful, especially Monica. She answered all of my questions and made me feel welcomed at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel!

15/05/2025: A simply perfect stay in the heart of Dublin! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a smiling, attentive team entirely dedicated to our well-being. Their attention to detail is remarkable: everything is designed to make you feel at home, almost like at home, but better! The room was magnificent, very comfortable, with quality bedding and an impeccable bathroom. We particularly appreciated the little touches: a Nespresso machine with pods refilled daily, still and sparkling water available, as well as a full range of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion), and even earplugs for a perfect night's sleep. This attention to detail is truly exceptional! Yes, there's a nightclub nearby, but that's also the vibrant life of Dublin! Those who can't handle a couple of slightly lively nights simply haven't captured the spirit of this city full of energy and charm. For us, this added to the authenticity of our stay. Add to that the magic of Dublin and the kindness of the Irish people... this establishment truly lives up to this incredible city. A huge congratulations to the entire team—we'll definitely be back!

12/05/2025: I came to Kilkenny Design with zero intentions of falling in love. And yet—bam! There it was. The most ridiculously beautiful orange mohair and cashmere blanket, just lounging on a shelf like it owned the place. I touched it once and knew: this was no ordinary blanket. This was a life decision. It's soft. Like dangerously soft. Like "cancel your plans and stay in with this blanket forever" soft. I wrapped it around myself and instantly became 34% more elegant and 89% more unwilling to leave the couch. The staff? Delightful. They didn’t even judge me when I whispered “you’re coming home with me” to a blanket in public. I would emotionally imprint on another textile here again.

01/04/2025: ¡Qué placer! Vine aquí para una celebración de cumpleaños y no puedo esperar a volver aquí. ¡Siento que se acerca una nueva tradición! El sábado 29 de marzo, a las 14: 30, vine aquí a tomar el té de la tarde con mi novio por su cumpleaños, y oh chico fue una delicia. En primer lugar, el servicio fue excelente. Lucy, nuestra excelente servidora nos llevó a nuestra mesa y nos explicó todo, y lo que realmente se me quedó fue cuando dijo "el cielo es el límite" y seguro que lo fue! ¡Tuviste que sacarme de ahí! El sándwich abierto feta batido era uno de nuestros favoritos, al igual que la rodaja de frambuesa pistacho, simplemente para MORIR. ¡Nuestro té favorito tenía que ser el whisky irlandés y la crema! Todas nuestras necesidades fueron atendidas en términos de más alimentos, condimentos y tés. La decoración era impresionante y nos dieron los mejores asientos de la casa! Nuestro día fue realmente especial.

13/03/2025: Servicio extremadamente decepcionante en el salón Lord Mayors para el té de la tarde - nos apresuró a salir por la puerta antes de que nuestro tiempo asignado se terminó quería el pago antes de que termináramos, el personal grosero - cuando lo traje a la atención de los hoteles que lo cepilló - no volverá y era un cliente habitual - el servicio se ha ido cuesta abajo. Es una lástima ya que la comida y la decoración son fabulosas

04/05/2025: Two of us went for dinner, nice local restaurant, friendly professional staff. The menu had great options for starters and mains. The food was top notch. Full of flavour and well presented. We will definitely return. 10/10

25/05/2025: NOT advisable to eat here if you have theater plans or an hour or less to eat. Very disappointing experience, especially from a hotel restaurant where travelers usually have events to get to and need a reliable but quality food experience. I was staying at NYX, arrived at the bar at 1750, promptly informed the staff I only had an hour and had a show to catch, ordered a ceviche and burger and asked for them to just bring them out when ready. 30 mins later had to ask the manager for a glass of water and question if the food was lost, at 45 minutes none of the food had even arrived. At 50 minutes it came out but was too late to even try and eat so I just asked for a box and the bill. After 5 minutes the food was still not out, I had paid and informed the manager this was not good business for travelers. Finally made it out the door at 1850 to catch a taxi. They ended up sending the food via room service to my room but I didn't get back for hours and was not going to risk food poisoning by eating it. All told it was about €60 all gone to waste. Just a very unsatisfactory experience from a hotel restaurant that's supposed to be on the higher end. (Literally the day before I had a 3 course meal with 3 different wines at Amuri, all in an hour for very lovely experience there 4.5⭐). For the NYX restaurant not even 1 ⭐ for the frustration of buying food I never got the chance to even eat.
