The best restaurantsof irish in Dublin

23/07/2025: Food was great a d lovely staff. We had a restaurant voucher given to us for our 50th anniversary but it was not accepted on their system. We checked it on return home and there shouldn't have been a problem looks like it was on the restaurants system. A little disappointing as we checked before booking.

21/07/2025: Waiter Smile, music, seafood like oyster, mussel, lobster and rain. Perfect moment on this bar in Howth town. Really sweet time.

16/01/2026: Me and my partner got off the bus and decided to go in here for a drink, Got sat down and we just ordered 2 Guinness. The waitress pulled her face and made a weird noise and grabbed the menu off our table like we did somthing wrong. Wouldn't reccomend this place waitresses looked like they didnt want be there absolutely miserable

13/01/2026: The restaurant only has a pleasant atmosphere. Nothing more. I don't recommend it. If there are two of you, you both need to order one dish. No sharing or just drinking.

25/02/2025: Enjoyed a meal here for Sunday lunch, I had the roast beef, which was delicious real good cut, my wife had fillet of cod which was also lovely, service was also good and the atmosphere nice also but the big letdown was the price of a glass of wine, €13.50, absolute robbery thus the 3 stars, can’t understand for the life of me how that price can be justified for a glass of wine

30/12/2025: Waiter came up to us as and told us it was closing in 10 mins so my girlfriend went to the bathroom quickly. In the mean time, another waiter came up to me and started going crazy about how I have to leave right now and how I should have left already, as if I were meant to grab her handbag and run outside, all while people were still laughing in the bar. Completely ruined the experience. Many locals I know hate him and have switched to the Bald Eagle. Unfriendly airport environment. Would recommend anyone I know not to go here, Bald Eagle has nice staff. You’ll know the staff member when he interacts with you and if he’s there, LEAVE!

14/10/2025: Honestly the Nicest cup of Coffee on the Southside I drive from Terenure at least twice a week made to perfection a perfect mix of smoothness and Blend Very enjoyable looking out over the village top

30/11/2025: Very nice pub, reasonable prices and a good atmosphere. The music isn't too loud, which allows for conversation with friends. Very well located.

16/08/2025: Recently wandered in on a quiet Saturday afternoon after a long walk out from city centre and before returning back to Spain. I had the best turkey and ham dinner ever....it was like having my Christmas dinner early.....perfect in every way and served by a very professional server named Emma I think. Don't know when I'll be back...but I will....please don't change in the meantime. I also love their idea of Spanish Tapas.....next time eh!

02/01/2026: DJ’d here for a private function. Beautiful hotel. Load-in not too easy. Bringing trolley with equipment through hotel reception isn’t ideal. Staff helpful and friendly. Event space is outdoors under a canopy, can get cold and heaters can get hot beaming down on you. Overall though, I would recommend this hotel for any event. Need a DJ for this venue? 22/12/2025: Unfortunately can't recommend this hotel. - The hotel room was probably the loudest I've ever stayed in. The bedroom looked directly out onto the hotel's bin store. We kept being woken up by hundreds of glass bottles being poured into the bins. The hotel is also right beside Searson's (famous Irish pub), so you can hear every conversation customers are having outside in the smoking area. We said this to the hotel staff on check-out and they just shrugged and said "oh, yeah, Christmas". - The hotel has zero facilities. No spa, no massages, no swimming pool, no sauna, no steam, nothing. It's really quite hard to believe this is actually a "5 star" hotel. - I emailed the front desk numerous times over a 48 hour period asking for a late checkout. The hotel took over 24 hours to respond, and never actually gave me a proper answer. At check-in, I asked again. They said they would have to check, and I should come down again in a few hours. I said, please, I've been emailing you about this for 2 days, can you just figure it out and email me? Thankfully they said they would. No email ever came. Eventually I had to call reception again on the morning of our check-out to request late checkout again. I found it ridiculous I'd need to try 3 different forms of communication over a >48 hour period just to request a late check-out. - Very uncomfortable pillows. There are only 2 options, and neither are any good. I had a terrible night's sleep (between the pillows the noise). The location is great, but I've had far nicer stays in mediocre 4 star hotels.

16/01/2026: I had a lovely breakfast in Kennedy's, Fairview. The pancakes were absolutely delicious. We were looked after by a lovely waitress, Maria. I saw her looking after an older lady. Maria was so kind, helpful and patient. She helped the older lady get sorted with a taxi.

23/12/2025: The place is better than the pictures, it looks really new. They have tables in their 1st floor and the atmosphere is very calm, family friendly. I ordered the pancakes with bacon 🥓 I will come back again for another breakfast 🥞

06/11/2025: Cocktails were the only good part of this dining experience was rushed by staff to order and our waitress was incredibly passive aggressive the atmosphere was acceptable but they were playing pop music that no way fit the vibe I ordered the chicken burger and truffle and Parmesan fries the burger was wet and soggy at the bottom and the fries didnt have much flavour or Parmesan overall I wouldn’t come here again

18/02/2025: Tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante. Mi pareja y yo habíamos reservado para una cena un sábado. Tuvimos un mal presentimiento cuando entramos y vimos cuántas mesas vacías había, especialmente teniendo en cuenta que era un fin de semana de rugby. Mientras que nuestro servidor brasileño era encantador, la comida era sosa y carecía de sabor y condimento. Dejamos la mayoría de nuestras comidas en el plato. El encantador servidor preguntó si todo estaba bien con la comida. Expresé que estaba muy decepcionado, considerando las excelentes críticas que habíamos leído en línea. El servidor nos informó que el chef envió sus disculpas desde la cocina. Nos persuadieron a quedarnos y tomar cafés y postre. El precio de los cafés se descontó de la factura. Pagamos nuestra factura, dimos propina a nuestro servidor encantador y nos fuimos. Basta decir que no volveremos. Hacia adelante, haré búsquedas más profundas de revisiones fuera de línea.

15/09/2025: Wow! We attended a hen party over the weekend & absolutely everything was perfect. The boat, drinks, sound system & every single member of the crew were AMAZING. We had the best day party & start to the day Thank you

15/09/2025: We hosted a hen party here on Saturday for 21 ladies, and it could not have gone better! The team were incredibly accommodating – they allowed us to set up our own decorations and food, and were so helpful with everything from start to finish. We had corkage on some bottles of prosecco for a welcome drink, and the staff went above and beyond making sure everyone’s glasses were always topped up, even when we moved up to the top deck. As we essentially ran an open bar with drink tokens for guests, it was great to see how respectful and honest the staff were – they made everything so easy for us and didn’t take advantage in any way. Another lovely touch was being able to connect our phones via Bluetooth for music, which meant we could play our own playlist on deck and set the perfect atmosphere. The whole experience was honestly the highlight of the day, and all of our guests had an absolute ball. Thank you so much to everyone at the Dublin Canal Boat Restaurant for helping us create such a memorable start to our hen celebrations!

26/10/2025: We decided to have a take away and return to the hotel. By the time we returned, the fish was still crisp and golden, the batter light, the chips thick and fluffy. Simple pleasures, impeccably done.

26/10/2025: Epic gluten free chipper onion rings and scampi. I mean epic.
