Dublin
14/06/2025: This used to be a great restaurant. Sadly, it’s now closed. A new place with different owners has taken over the location—it's called Koi Palace.
28/05/2025: Was there for dinner with my son @7pm on a Saturday. Lovely cute place with nice decor. The portions were sizeable and delicious. The staff were both attentive & professional. I would definitely recommend 👌

Girl and the Goose Restaurant

Dublin
12/02/2025: Very attentive service and high quality food. The bear restaurant in the local area 👍

Andersons

Dublin
08/11/2025: This is a lovely cafe for brunch. The menu is nice and the cafe does have gluten free bread so if you're a coeliac or just gluten intolerant they will have options for you. The service was good and the server was knowledgeable when I asked about gluten free options. Some cushions for the back of the long bench seats inside would be a great idea as they are very uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time, but otherwise a very nice place to have coffee or brunch etc.
06/11/2025: Haven't been here for a while. Not quite the place I remembered. Less artisan and more pedestrian. The coffee was watery and weak. The pastries looked like they had been picked up in the local petrol station. There was nothing unique about the visit that would encourage me back. Pity because I love the concept of a little gem of an eatery nestled into a beautiful urban setting. Not the case here.

Mary Mac's

Dublin
17/08/2025: Lovely pints and a great spot for sitting outside if the weather is good

The Dalkey Duck, menu

Dublin
23/10/2025: Please clean the toilets same stains for years
05/10/2025: We had a few beers and an Old Fashioned there. The staff were very friendly. Dalkey is generally a very nice place. Recommendation: buy the Leap Visitor Card for €18 for 3 days. This allows you to travel all over Dublin on public transport. 72 hours of freedom. Definitely worth it. We'll definitely be back to this pub.

House

Dublin
13/11/2025: The most spectacular Wedding at House Dublin! September 2025 Back in September 2024 we started our search for the perfect wedding venue in our hometown of Dublin. Our second venue on the list was House Dublin. To say they had us at hello is an understatement. From that first contact we knew this was going to be something very special. Nichola, the most fantastic Wedding Event Manager, took the reins and really listened to our ideas and vision for our celebration, provided guidance, suggestions and a plan very quickly came together. We chose to hire the entire venue for the day and all charming accommodation rooms booked also. Throughout the run up to the big day, we felt Nichola and her colleagues were part of the team, all invested in ensuring our wedding celebration was spectacular. A couple of months before we were invited for a tasting session where we would sample menus. We had the pleasure of meeting Neil and the incredible dining and bar staff who welcomed us and made us feel very much at home. The food was far beyond anything we could have anticipated, this was one serious foody extravaganza. We were served the most incredible dishes, every one of them a unique taste experience. Our excitement was heightened only by the incredible service we received from the most friendly team. The quality of the dishes were astounding, and considering the price points we were looking at for our wedding day, this completely blew us away! I cannot stress enough how good this food was. We were looking at about 150 guests, so making this a meal to remember was no small undertaking. The scene was set for the wedding of the decade!!! As plans progressed and we got closer to our big day, Nichola and all the team rallied around us to ensure no details were left to chance. Our vision for our ceremony and various musicians and bands came together seamlessly and nothing was too much trouble to accommodate. We opted to check in the evening before the celebration, and stayed a few extra nights also. From the time we moved in, and it really did feel like we moved in lol, we felt at home and were welcomed by all staff members. We felt very spoiled indeed. The support given to align a very large seating area to accommodate our guests and the tablescapes were simply beautiful. Our vendors were supported and House Staff ensured everything was in place. Our first viewing of the fully decorated venue was breathtaking and the day got better and better. The friendly smiles greeted us and our guests, drinks, canapés quickly followed. The dinner service was impeccable, everyone worked so hard to ensure guests were seated efficiently to commence. There was a real party atmosphere and the smiles and chatter of both guests and staff was heartwarming. And then the food, just WOW!!!!! It was simply divine. Every option, the most incredible flavours, everyone was blown away. This was truly the best. I cannot stress enough how impressed our guests were. But it doesn’t end there, we dined like kings, we danced the night away, enjoyed the bar immensely of course. We were treated to the most spectacular experience by absolutely every member of staff. And still it doesn’t end there, the next day we enjoyed superb breakfasts, gorgeous chats and laughs with all the staff and as we were also staying another night after we were made feel right at home. There was nothing we could have wanted for. We were sad to leave!!!! Everyone helped us by packing up all our boxes and bags and helped us move back out for want of a better phrase. We had the most fantastic day, few days really, and couldn’t have asked for a better start to our married life. So many to thank, in particular Nichola, Neil, Tony, Charlie and all the onsite staff. You are the best in the business and we cannot thank you enough. We are looking forward to many more opportunities to visit in the future. Thank you again, Jim and Carrie Conway xx
03/11/2025: We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The price was $160 per night. Let me start with the good things (don’t worry, this part will be short): * Great location, everything is nearby, and the airport bus stops just about 100 meters from the hotel. * The rooms are clean. * There’s a good restaurant downstairs (but I’m here to review the hotel, not the restaurant). Boom boom boom, that’s it… Now the bad — or maybe even terrible for $160: * There is a bar/restaurant downstairs with loud music, and you can hear the bass even on the 3rd floor. For us it was tolerable, but if you’re staying on lower floors or if peace and quiet are important to you — this place is not for you. * The heating in the room did not work. I mentioned this to the staff a couple of times, they checked it, saw that it doesn’t work — and that was the end of the story. It was around 5–7°C outside at night and in the morning, not much warmer during the day either, so imagine how uncomfortable it is to stay in such cold conditions. And this costs $160 — usually discomfort comes for free, but not here. * There is no proper lighting in the room, just a few weak night lamps. It’s quite dark if you need to work on a laptop or have poor eyesight, or even if you just want to read a book. And this is $160! * The water pressure is terribly weak. Normally it wouldn’t be a big issue, but since the room was freezing, taking a shower became a real challenge — you’re literally shaking from the cold every time. And this is $160! Ps: We’ll see how the hotel handles communication with its guests — we did expect at least some kind of compensation for the discomfort we paid for.
