03/05/2026: Great food and service,, can get very busy at certain times

26/04/2026: Delicious turkey carvery, and very friendly staff. Make your way through the options at the counters and pay at the till, so bit of a buffet not just cafe. I was able to bring my small dog in, though it would not stop licking crumbs off the floor. Spacious toilets too.

23/08/2025: We were there last Friday. Waitress was not customer friendly 2/10 I got tea with sour milk , a colleague got the smallest portion of risotto you could serve Rip off and terrible services. Unlikely to go back and we were regular.

01/05/2026: This place has really gone downhill. Which is a pity. Filthy bathroom with no soap. Outdoor seating area could do with a deep clean also. Staff couldn't be less interested in working there on our visit. Mushroom soup was mostly cream, accompanied by a slice of white bread cut in half. Coffees were served warmish. I could go on....

30/04/2026: We stopped in here for a drink and enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere. The Barman was attentive and the service was excellent. Although we did not have food, what we saw served looked excellent.

13/05/2026: Lunch was not great. Chicken burger poor and fish and chips not great either. Did say to serving staff that meal was not great who apologised and said would pass details to kitchen.

12/04/2026: This is my go-to place for lunch every weekend. I am always impressed by the kindness of the team. Specially, there is a female staff member who I think is Chinese she is outstanding. She is patient, understands customer needs deeply and handles every request with a smile. Her service is the heart of this place

15/03/2026: One of my favourite spots in Monkstown to grab a coffee, quick meals or just have a wander through. Really lucky to have it nearby as they stock good quality ingredients for baking like Callebaut chocolate.

26/02/2026: Attentive staff that make you and your family feel special. Bill comes without a long wait. Crayons given to children, good seafood, good selection of wines too.

17/05/2026: The two stars is for the parking. Arnotts have signs that state €9 for three hours parking, but go avail of it, need to scan your receipt. It just does not work. Tried multiple times to get it to accept the receipt, payment machine keep saying an error. Eventually had to pay full amount for 3 hours. I wasn’t the only person experiencing issues with payment. An Italian couple were totally confused about and how the system worked. Sadly, they were blaming themselves for English comprehension and were hugely frustrated

14/05/2026: I'm a self confessed food snob, but every now and then, all you want is a bacon double cheeseburger and Soermacs rarely disappoints.

20/04/2026: The young lady who served me was friendly & efficient. The burger I ordered was so over cooked it was how I imagine chewing leather might be. The garlic cheese fries were cold & swimming in a white sauce totally void of any garlic flavour and there was just a sprinkle of cheese, so disappointing 😞

17/05/2026: Good atmosphere & perfect food !

16/05/2026: 8:45 Friday night, the back room has some sort of gathering & the pub side has a few empty tables. I ask a barman if still selling food “Yes, I’ll get you in a minute”, so I sit at one of the high tops directly across from the bar. Time goes by & he never comes, a waitress is walking around talking to customers and the barmen, passing by me a few times as if I was invisible. I finally raised my arm high to guarantee her notice and ordered a Guinness and a menu. I check the menu and ready to order as she comes over and says “Sorry, the kitchen closes at 9”. It’s 9:10 and I’ve been sitting right across from the bar for over 20 minutes without any notice, not like it’s a huge place, just a few tables and high tops but apparently more than the staff knows how to service. Went elsewhere.

01/11/2025: Nice food and coffee but the service and clearing of tables leaves a lot to be desired. So many occupied tables with clearly empty plates and cups were not removed. I even saw come customers clear a table themselves before sitting down. Also, the waitress delivered a coffee to my friend and spilled it all over the saucer. Didn't even apologise nor offer to clear it up. Very disappointing.

03/05/2026: Terrible raw prawns and chips not cooked Expensive..second time here and both times food was not fit for humans
