27/12/2025: In the Pub on Saturday afternoon the 27th of December and the place was freezing. There was no heating at all. The other customers were also complaining that the pub was too cold. Especially with the flu going around this is disgraceful, not a cosy pub at all. No wonder the place is going down hill

11/05/2026: Do not go to this pub, the prices are through the roof, the owner is unfriendly towards everyone including my little hearing impaired niece and her friend. He shouldn't have a job with custoners. Not a place to bring family and locals stay away. I don't know how it has even 3.8 star review. AVOID

02/05/2026: Was unfortunate enough to get ripped off by the carvery. I ordered a chicken curry and its mad to say its the worst I've ever had. I reported it, stared at like I had 10 heads. Terrible staff. No management to deal with my issue. 18 euro for food youd expect in hospital. Absolutely disgusting. I work in hospitality and this experience was embarrassing. You can clearly see from previous reviews nobody is happy with carvery. When you have soulless staff on site as well. Most likely a scrooge of an owner. Shameful stuff.

23/08/2025: In viaggio a Dublino ho mangiato più volte in questo posto, sempre molto soddisfatta. Ottimo il loro piatto della tradizione fish & chips, per me in versione senza glutine con una perfetta panatura croccante e non unta. Atmosfera informale ma con stile e servizio attento e curato. Una nota particolare alla professionalità e simpatia di Simone!

08/04/2026: Please do not eat out of this restaurant. I’m in bed with two days when I told the staff they said there’s nothing they can do. It was my problem. Please do not. My Kids is in hospital whatever you do do not eat out of this restaurant and I was forced to pay.

02/04/2026: Really good beef, waitstaff informed me it was grass-fed free-range Irish beef. Tender and tasty, it came with chips hat were pillow soft inside and crunchy outside. Perfectly done. I ordered my ribeye medium. Drink: long Island iced tea. I love a mixed drink that doesnt lead with alcohol as its first note, just leaves you relaxed and enjoying your meal. . Dessert Irish tiramisu. Delicious with black coffee. Will be back again.

19/11/2025: Found this pub really great. Superb staff and staff apart from one member of staff. A younger blonde woman who was quite unhappy and rude a couple of times while serving me. Overall well worth a visit

22/03/2026: Great service. We were the only ones there so it was quiet but I would be confident that the service wouldn't be any different. Quite possibly the best irish coffee I have ever had too!

10/11/2025: Called in one evening without a reservation and we're seated no problem. We are both vegetarian and knew that they had a vegetarian menu - this is not on the door outside so its handy to know! Some elements of dishes were not available but the food was really great, we both had starters, mains and desserts and yes, a little more pricey than we would usually go for, but worth it for a treat in my opinion. Atmosphere and service were wonderful!

02/03/2026: Jesus. After 2 hours waiting for delivery, I called in asking for a refund. Then got 5 calls from different staff on different numbers harassing me. Asking why I didn't want the food. Maybe because I was waiting 2 hour? Maybe. SMH. Disgusting company. No food, still not refund.

08/04/2026: Have Supermacs changed their chips supplier? We would normally eat in the Portlaoise plaza, getting chicken thighs and chips. Today we tried fish and chips from Blackrock, the batter was very crispy and the chips weren't as good as Portlaoise. Don't get me wrong, I've eaten many times in Blackrock and it's been scrumptious, and the service is always excellent.

18/05/2026: Would give it zero stars if I could. We went and the bouncers were so rude. They mocked us and then after I called them out, they refused to let us in once we got to the front.. mind you this is after we paid and mind you they wouldn’t give us back the full amount refund. 0/0 .

24/02/2026: Went in here for a quiet pint with a friend I am on a crutch small disability r leg the barman that came on middle aged guy told me to leave because I was on a crutch so I'd had one pint was sitting on a stool at the bar went across the road to Kenny no problem there ill let you take what you may from this so much for friendly staff abs good atmosphere my friend complained to the barman and he said oh he might fall so blatant discrimination against a man with a slight disability by the way I have never fallen anywhere I would like to see what the owners have to say about this bar man's actions

10/05/2026: Average rooms. Clean and tidy but small and basic. Customer service was friendly and kind. Waited nearly 15 minutes for reception because they were busy (understaffed maybe?) Location is very central however the hotel is above a techno nightclub that plays the same beat until 3am and it’s incredibly loud. You might as well go down to the bar because you’re not sleeping. Would not recommend for anyone who is trying to have a decent night sleep. If you’re here to party, get hammered and pass out, probably won’t bother you but if you enjoy sleeping, don’t stay here.

09/05/2026: Went here in february. The rooms were very clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean (the waterpressure was low so showering was not comfortable though). The staff was nice. But sadly we always had to ring the bell in order to be able to enter the hotel which was uncomfortable due to how Dublin can be at night.

02/06/2026: For my first fish and chips, I was left wanting more. Sadly, if it weren't for the mayonnaise and tartar sauce, it would have been a tasteless meal. I can also say that the fish and chips were a bit greasy.

29/05/2026: Awful and ridiculously expensive. Not even salad or sauce included. We couldn't eat it; it was the worst thing I've had on the island (or at least, the worst I've eaten). Absolutely disgusting. It's a rip-off using a famous name. Please don't go there. You'll regret it.

06/05/2026: I got a Very welcoming atmosphere, coming from the Speaker Connolly. The Staff are very friendly and helpful, the clientele are full of craic , and fun . I didn't have a meal from the menu , but I look forward to visiting again. 5 Stars
