02/10/2025: Took 17 minutes to get my 1st Guinness (and we visited at 3pm) I watched the poor girl, who was doing everything herself, pour my Guinness almost to the very top, before slamming it down. I had to remind her to top it off - worst point I've had in Ireland. Food was average - an expensive lesson learned.

04/09/2025: Extremely rude staff ....arrived at 650am was too early for a coffee staff member main chef said not open untill 7am so I waited came back at 7.01 when supposed to be open and told nobody here to help you till 8am were busy out !!!!shocking customer service !!!!

10/10/2025: The only reason I didn’t rate my food 5 stars, is because it was a bit too spicy. Other than that I was PLEASANTLY surprised! I’m usually a very picky eater because I’m scared of germs and new food but this place was awesome. It was clean, happy environment, and the food made me come out of my comfort zone to try. I got the California bagel with everything removed except avocado but when my food came out it had avocado and grilled chicken. BUT, it looked amazing and even though they were very apologetic and willing to make it again, I insisted that it was okay and I didn’t mind. And I’m so happy they accidentally put chicken on my bagel because it was absolutely spectacular!

03/10/2025: Sometimes you don’t need the coziness of a pub, but rather good craic and a wide variety of beers – that’s when this is my go-to spot. And just one door down, you’ve got the cozy pub for when you’ve had enough of the big buzz.

28/11/2025: So today I took a seat at the bar hoping to get a beer before taking my train. I waited 20mn (from 1.50pm untill 2.10pm). The place was not really busy, there was 3 bartenders working and making jokes to each other in their language. I felt I was completely invisible as nobody said hi to me. At the very least, I would have apreciated anybody asking me if I wanted something. But I got ignored for 20mn. Nice work lads! To the owner, check your cctv to watch me getting ignored for 20mn straight. I just wanted a beer.

27/11/2025: Beautiful bar perfect spot to pass the time if your waiting for a train , spotless, impressive copper counter top , great service and food , bar staff so friendly and good craic that lends a great atmosphere.

08/11/2025: Disappointing Experience – Rude Security (man named Kingsley) and General Poor Communication We booked this bar for my mams 60th birthday celebration with a group of 15 people, most of whom were over 50 including 1 guest in his 80s. We had communicated a minimum of 15 guests with potential for a couple more, and they graciously accommodated 18 guests in total. Unfortunately what was meant to be a lovely night (and it was up until the end) turned into an upsetting experience for us. The party arrived before my mam as it was a surprise, and when we arrived there was no mention of a time limit stay. There was also no mention in the email or communications about this. When we were asked to leave, the wait staff got the security and was very rude and aggressive towards us. We mentioned we weren't notified of this by email, or calls – and showed the security man (Kingsley) the communications pointing out this, Kingsley then, almost slapped the phone away and told us to get out. We moved downstairs while we were waiting for a taxi, and Kingsley again being rude and aggressive told us we cannot wait there either. We explained our great uncle is 80 and we're not waiting out in the cold. He had a dismissive behaviour but let us wait inside. I asked him his name as I wanted to report him for his behaviour, and he wouldn't tell me, I had to go to the bar lady who did tell me his name. The place itself is lovely, and as I said it was a nice night - I just hope management can look into improving communication and ensuring all guests are treated with courtesy in future.

25/10/2025: I was in the Elephant & Castle in Sandyford a few days ago for lunch on my work break. It was my first time at this location and I loved it!!! I had been to the branch in temple bar many times but I loved how spacious this branch is in Sandyford, and the bar area looked very cool too! I had the lasagna bites and the halloumi burger and it was one of the best halloumi dishes I’ve ever had!! The staff were very welcoming and I also observed how attentive they were with being very quick to clear tables and clean them and re-set them. As someone who worked in the hospitality sector before I was amazed the staff had such great initiative!! Highly recommend this place!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

24/10/2025: Been here many times and had a good experience, but I came for lunch with my family in the afternoon. Wanted to order steak, none left at 2pm in the afternoon, that's okay. Due to lack of availability on the new menu (which is about 50% the size of the old menu), someone at the table wanted to order a starter from the kids menu, and the young lady waitress refused it and said we cannot order it, and immediately moved on to the next person. I'd love to see where this rule is, because in my experience if a restaurant is out of steak, any place that has bare minimum standards for service would let the table order what they requested, especially if your other items aren't available. And from what I found online there's no age limit on the kids menu or rule against certain people ordering, so I'd like to understand why this waitress decided to be so blunt as to not allow my younger sister to order her second choice. And that much is understandable, but after this the waitress didn't give us any water after this and we had to flag down a different waiter for almost anything we ended up requiring during our meal. Quite unhelpful and rude staff member, although we have been before and staff are usually very good, and the bartender on the day was sound, so was quite disappointed with the service throughout, even once the place was no longer busy.

25/09/2025: Great for sporting event 10-15 TV along with a large screen. Service is great as table service. Went to watch F1 definitely new spot for any sport event
