09/09/2025: I was met with an extremely rude female bar woman who told me she would not be making cocktails and gave no reason. Despite the fact that cocktails are advertised in the pub. I asked for tow Espresso Martinis. Photo evidence. We will not be back

15/08/2025: I brought my mom for very 1st time to experience Afternoon Tea in Lord Mayor’s Lounge at The Shelbourne hotel. Together with her and also my sister in law and little niece we had amazing experience, everything was delicious, the desserts looks fairytale and taste heavenly, we been completely spoiled by our waitress Karla and lovely Imelda. Thank you so much girls for everything.

03/08/2025: We had a booking for 12:00 and got there at 11:55. They sat us down and at that time there were only 2 or 3 other tables with people. As more people came in, they were all getting served before us. We noticed that the waiters were explaining to each table how it all worked as they were seating the guests. No one explained how it worked or came to our table for 20 minutes, at which point we just left. As we were leaving, other tables were getting food and tea. There was staff standing around, and our table was very visible. Waiters were constantly walking past us. I don’t think it’s acceptable to have to hail a waiter at a 5 star hotel when expected to pay 75 euro (minimum) a head. We ended up going to Bewley’s and were served within 5 minutes without even having a booking. I went to the Westbury for afternoon tea last year and the service was a lot better. Maybe we just got unlucky but I would definitely never go back to the Shelbourne, especially when paying that amount of money.

08/07/2025: I was visiting the club with my family on holidays. I didn’t really expect much but I was blown away by the hospitality.I would recommend for young families on holidays PS.(I loved the Irish theme to the pub.)

14/09/2025: Stephanie took great care of us. Walk in of two on a Sunday lunchtime. There were no tables available inside but we got ourselves sat just at the external area. Service was quick as so was the food, we had the fish and chips and the ribeye steak. The chips were deliciously crispy and golden. We loved the food and the peach iced tea. As locals, we were a bit insecure about going to such a touristic spot but it was totally worth it.

28/08/2025: We always take our in-laws here, because they love it and honestly, so do we! It’s such a cute spot right by the lake. Everyone has their own favorites, but the vegan and vegetarian options are really good. The desserts are great too. On a sunny day, it’s awesome to grab a table on the terrace, have a coffee or a bite to eat, and just watch the ducks on the lake. The place is super popular, so you might have to wait for a table if you’re with a bigger group, but it’s totally worth it. We always have a lovely time here and never get tired of it!

28/05/2025: Was there for dinner with my son @7pm on a Saturday. Lovely cute place with nice decor. The portions were sizeable and delicious. The staff were both attentive & professional. I would definitely recommend 👌

06/09/2025: We had a really disappointing experience here. Four of our friends arrived early and we joined about 10 minutes later. Nobody came by to ask for our order, and after sitting for about 30 minutes, someone finally came over—not to take our order, but to ask if we had ordered food because he was looking for an order. Four people from our group had ordered, but he completely skipped the rest of us. We assumed he would come back around because we were on the other end, but he just walked away. My friend ordered me a drink, but it never showed up. After waiting and waiting, we ended up leaving without ever being served. Overall, the service was inattentive and frustrating. Definitely not a place I’d recommend. By the way the music is extremely loud.

06/09/2025: Definitely a racist pub We were a group of six—four white people and two Asians. However, only the white members were allowed in smoothly. The two Asian members were stopped by security guards, and were only let in after our white friends explained we were together. Once seated, the servers only attended to our white friends. When the Asian members proactively asked for a beer, the server told us to "order at the bar ourselves." Half an hour later, the server took the initiative to approach our white friends and ask if they wanted to order food, completely ignoring the Asian members at the same table. The Asian members waited for an hour— the beers we’d intended to order never arrived, and even after our white friends finished their meals, no server came over to ask if we wanted to order food. This obvious discriminatory treatment was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.

20/09/2025: The music was peppy and the atmosphere was chill can go hang out with your friends and the staff is really friendly!

14/09/2025: This cafe is a little haven of comfort. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for any day of the week. With a menu that's more extensive than your average cafe, there are plenty of delicious options to choose from. The staff is incredibly kind and quick to serve, and everything from the clean restrooms to the comfortable seating shows the care they put into the place. The food quality is excellent; even though my eggs weren't quite as runny as I'd hoped. The best part? The abundance of natural light from the many windows, creating a bright and secure space to unwind.

18/08/2025: My goodness what an evening of so much noise I couldn't even talk to the person sitting next to me without shouting... That's not the restaurants fault of course but, wow! Then €38 for a very thin, poor quality steak you wouldn't pay €5 for in the butchers. Excellent staff though... absolutely 100% nice n friendly. But I've eaten better & cheaper elsewhere.

23/07/2025: Food was great a d lovely staff. We had a restaurant voucher given to us for our 50th anniversary but it was not accepted on their system. We checked it on return home and there shouldn't have been a problem looks like it was on the restaurants system. A little disappointing as we checked before booking.

21/07/2025: Waiter Smile, music, seafood like oyster, mussel, lobster and rain. Perfect moment on this bar in Howth town. Really sweet time.

07/09/2025: Superb kitchen, nice party mood - big place so sometimes you wait a moment for a service but nothing horrible.
