The best restaurants in Dublin

25/08/2026: This is a neighbourhood gem, especially if you need a birthday cake. I’m not sure people are aware that this bakery can make the most beautiful (and custom) birthday cakes. I have made several last minute requests for Victoria sponge, cream, strawberry birthday cakes and every time, they are so helpful, nothing is a problem and they create delicious cakes! This time though, I had a very special request for a 2 year old birthday cake, much more extravagant. Once again, they were so helpful. Denise jumped on the phone with me to discuss, send me some pictures of options and just went above and beyond. Just LOOK at this gorgeous cake!!!! 10/10 would recommend. Thanks Denise and team, I’ll be ordering all my cakes from you in the future.

08/08/2026: generous sized americano, delicious oreo cream scone and staff were very pleasant. Outside seating was good

15/11/2025: I still don’t understand why you need to order at the door and then grab a table while they have many waiters that can take the order. Restaurant and food is great but just ordering at the counter and getting a paper number seems a bit cheap compared to the price of food you pay.

04/10/2025: Rang just now and asked could I order for collection guy said “Goodbye” and slammed the phone Guess they don’t do delivery 🤷‍♂️

27/05/2026: I ordered an iced mango almond latte that was advertised on the board outside, but the staff didn’t seem to know how to make it. The almond milk tasted like it was off, and the drink was honestly horrible. On top of that, they charged €5.50 for it… definitely not coming back.

06/05/2026: It's a typical chain like other large coffee shops with a star in their name, but great for breakfast or grabbing a salad to go. The coffee is excellent – ​​we had bagels with salmon or an Irish breakfast – we loved it – we'll be back tomorrow ;-)

20/06/2026: I've been in Dublin for a while now and I really miss the food from Hong Kong. A friend recommended this place, and the egg tarts were €2 each, which was a reasonable price, and they really tasted just like the ones I ate when I was little 😭 But when I talked to the owner, I found out they're closing down on the 30th of this month. I was so shocked and didn't know what to say... 😮‍💨 It's a pity I met them so late. I wish you all the best in the future, and may you have peace and joy.

21/04/2026: Regular customer, but never again. Terrible attitude.@Bilian Chen I’ve been coming here twice a week recently for their egg tarts, but the male staff member is consistently rude and dismissive. Today was the last straw. When I asked if they had more tarts, he gave a sarcastic non-answer. Then, I clearly ordered "two boxes" (6 per box), but he only handed me two individual tarts. He then started a ridiculous argument, claiming a box could hold 12 and kept questioning me condescendingly about "how many I actually wanted." It was only when I finally snapped and asked if he was treating me this way because of my Mandarin that he offered a half-hearted apology. The food is fine, but the blatant bias and lack of respect are unacceptable. Ms. @Bilian Chen Visit often but never again. Extremely bad attitude. I came here twice recently to buy egg tarts, but the male clerk's attitude was always very arrogant. Today I finally reached my breaking point: the first time I asked him if he had any egg tarts, he gave a sarcastic and noncommittal answer; the second time today, I clearly stated I wanted "two boxes," and he said nothing, only giving me two. When I noticed, he started spouting nonsense about how a box can hold 12, condescendingly asking me "how many do you want?" Then I repeated that I wanted two boxes, six in each, and only after I finally snapped and asked if he was treating me this way because I spoke Mandarin did he reluctantly apologize. The food itself is fine, but this blatant prejudice and disrespect is unacceptable.

24/07/2026: Standards have dropped massively. Owner rude and confrontational. He's sick of the job and it shows . Much better alternatives in the area.

13/07/2026: We love eating and drinking at The Gate Bar. The guys at the bar are great, it’s mostly a local bar so the atmosphere is always friendly and nice. When you order food, it comes from the pizza place upstairs and it's delicious (we always eat there, it's always good). On sunny days the picnic tables outside are the big hit. At the pub you have good selection of beers and ciders, sports on the tele and great chat if you want to.

18/07/2026: Delicios food and lovely environment. The service was quick and the foid arrived at the appropriate time. There's were guest celebrating and some simply enjoying the food Music was good too. Will.call again.

18/07/2026: Its nice place .i give it to the chef well prepared meal but this summer the seating area need enough ventilation. But the chef is 9/10

09/09/2026: I have been coming here since the last 2 years, great pizza shop in the surroundings. The new staff with the glasses is super friendly.

10/06/2026: Had a mini breakfast here this morning, nicest breakfast I have had out in a long time. The sausages were gorgeous not those big deep fried ones most places hand up. I will definitely be back.😊

01/02/2026: DO NOT GO HERE INSECTS IN FOOD Myself and my boyfriend ordered two subs each today and after my boyfriend took a bite of his we noticed small grey insects crawling out of the food. We called them up to let them know and the person on the phone was horribly rude kept saying "what's the problem" after telling them there's insects in the food. He said "well then take a picture if that's true". We'd already threw the food out in the bin because I was horrified. Honestly a horrible attitude to have from the staff and I've gotten sick from the thought of it all.

17/08/2026: Parked outside the music shop. Walked around this whole building couldn't find the entrance to this place. Not sure it even exist here anymore. All the pictures look like temple bar but Google took me to Ballymount industrial estate. So clearly some issue there.

11/07/2026: Not a real review: just to inform the address on google maps is wrong, I've tried to visit today and couldnt because i the address sent me to an industrial state.

25/11/2025: Great service, food was yummy, felt like I had finally eaten substantially (if you are south asian you know) Food was nice quality and halal so definitely recommend Definitely should be busier. Very underrated

30/10/2025: Got the Twisted Tikka Masala and my boyfriend got some curry dish. The curry was good, but the Tikka Masala was not what I would consider a Tikka Masala. The flavour was only of tomatoes, there was minimal spices added, the colour was red rather then the usual orangey colour. I ordered for takeout so I was glad to have spices at home to fix it… but I would have definitely asked for something else if I was there in person. Pretty pricey as well for the quality and portion

26/05/2026: Old style suburban dublin pub in tymon north tallaght, we had a carvery lunch and it was quite nice , staff were friendly and helpful in their old school Dublin way which i found amusing .very pleasant.
