27/01/2026: I came to this shop but they are closed and I waited more than 30 minutes till they open. Nobody on till ,you need to ask the butcher about them and they call then he comes. This is ridiculous and disgusting. I won't buy from them anymore. All halal shops around them are opened always from morning till evening.

26/11/2025: when attending bingo for the first time on wednesday evening, i was served by a delightful young lady named ava. she was so accomadating and helpful and explained the rules amazingly. she is an absolute asset to this establishment and i cannot wait to be back!

14/03/2026: I’m disappointed, I’ve ordered from this place before and the chicken in the spice bag was never stiff compared to how it was when I went in and ordered on Thursday evening. I literally broke a bracket on my brace biting into the chicken, it was that stiff and hard to eat.

30/12/2025: Just ordered a delivery. Fast friendly delivery and hot.Food was good, curry sauce was very nice. Though got noodles instead of rice in my Singapore dish. For this reason only 3 out of 5.

25/04/2026: We came to Tommy o garas to have a few Christmas drinks as my group of friends are all home from abroad including myself. I live in the local vicinity and have attended this pub for years. On arrival we entered the pub, ordered a drink and half of my friends (who have not drank before entering this pub) were told we were too drunk and would not serve us. The service was less than welcoming and very hostile , if we tried to explain we haven’t had a drink, cool calm and collectively, we were told we were disruptive. I do not understand if big groups are not allowed, why is this not advertised, I would prefer to be told this than be convinced I’m too drunk having had nothing to drink. To be clear , we all dealt with a bald man with glasses, who judging by reviews is a reoccurring issue. All in all, would not recommend to a friend

17/05/2025: Los baños de señoras tienen un piso que no se ha limpiado correctamente en años. Los lavabos están sucios, sin jabón. Todo el lugar necesita un buen fregado. No es un buen baño, para los turistas que visitan la ciudad supuestamente justa de Dublín!

03/05/2025: Llegó a las 2. 00 traigo tragos en el bar. Cuando usé a las damas no había rollo de papel higiénico en ninguno de los cubículos y el inodoro estaba guiñado. No parecía limpio. Los muebles del bar en general necesitarían una renovación. La elección de comida era muy limitada.

03/10/2025: Nice coffee, Ordered a mocha on oat milk,accidently got a whole milk,staff was super nice and with no problem they remade my drink. So if you need to get coffee in the morning it’s a lovely spot.

20/09/2025: State of the place was a bit gross. Toilet was feral and most tables needed clearing or a wipe. Service average, they got my drink wrong and seemed inconvenienced when I said I think I got the wrong drink. I think the poor staff were understaffed.

16/12/2025: Staff very warm & welcoming. Restaurant Supervisor was smiling, friendly & attentive. Lovely decor and ambiance. Unfortunately, to our surprise, the food wasn’t very nice. Goats cheese & beet starter was served resembling a piece of pie. It didn’t appear to be freshly made and was somewhat dry. Fish & chips very poor quality. The cod was wafer thin, hard and basically a piece of batter. I’m almost sure the chips were cooked from frozen and not “homemade” prepared, as expected for the price. Beef was just ok but wasn’t finished due to the overly fatty content and off putting texture. Table bread and salmon starter was lovely and served fresh. We did not stay for dessert. The full amount paid was €120 for two persons, this included €10 tip for the service staff. In my opinion, it’s just not worth the money based on the overall quality of the meal served. Such a pity considering the performance we went to see was amazing. We could have eaten better elsewhere for 1/2 of the price. This was our first time to eat at this restaurant..
