19/12/2025: I order boojum wayyy more than I should and it’s honestly my favourite but I’m literally begging you guys to stop watering down the sour cream😢 Back in the og boojum days you got the spoonfuls of sour cream, now it’s super watery:( I always ask for both regular and vegan sour cream to make up for it but today the vegan sour cream came out of the bottle like water, and there was a little pool of water in my bowl :( please guys I beg you to just say your all out❤️

12/02/2026: FOUND STAPLES IN OUR FOOD!!! BE CAREFUL IF YOU ORDER FROM HERE. Myself and my mother have been ordering from New Empire for years, always getting the same dish, Curry, egg fried rice, chips, diced chicken and tofu and have always enjoyed it until the event as of writing happened 20 minutes ago. Like normal we ordered our usual and had begun to eat, however 2 minutes after platting the food my mother eating the rice suddenly stopped, I asked what was wrong and she pulled a STAPLE from her mouth!, we were both shocked at how this happened, and in the same moment spat out a SECOND STAPLE! At this point we rang new empire about the issue, however no matter how many times we explained on the phone they couldn't grasp the concept that my mother nearly swallowed a staple and would have ended in A&E. With our attempts to talk to management left futile we both reluctanty tried to eat the Chinese again, we both agreed that this would be the last ordering from here. After three minutes of caution I myself felt something sharp on my tongue, like my mother I pulled a third staple from my mouth. THATS THREE USED STAPLES IN ONE RICE DISH WITH GOD KNOWS HOW MANY MORE. That's when we both agreed we're done all together. It pains me to write this review as I hate leaving negative comments, however this is completely unacceptable. I have photographs of the staples however it seems I can't attach the image, If this ever becomes possible I will gladly do so. If empire would like to talk about this my phone number would be on the file after I rang to complain about this.

12/01/2026: When we arrived at the restaurant, we were the only customers there. We ordered a wrap and a braised pork knuckle rice at New Empire. After we had been seated for about half an hour, the staff served all the food (including the pork knuckle rice we had ordered) to another customer who placed their order ten minutes after us, while telling us that our food would still take longer. After a total of fourty minutes, we still had not received any food at all. When we asked about this, the staff responded very impatiently and told us that if we did not want to wait, just get a refund. My suggestion is that if the food preparation time is going to be long, at least inform customer in advance. Moreover, it is not appropriate to serve food that we had already ordered to customers who arrived later, especially after we had clearly stated that we were in a hurry and hoped to receive our food as soon as possible.

17/02/2026: A small grocery store. We wanted to buy Irish sweets. All the goods are not laid out in one place, but on several shelves. The payment system, in cash, is very strange. The machine shows that 1 cent is missing, but 1 is not accepted. The cashier explained that you need to put 10, and then she gives you 10 cents back. :)

02/08/2025: The bao buns are a hit every time. The bowls are so flavorful. Last time we ended up ordering a repeat of a dish it was so good. Love this place.

03/10/2025: Nice coffee, Ordered a mocha on oat milk,accidently got a whole milk,staff was super nice and with no problem they remade my drink. So if you need to get coffee in the morning it’s a lovely spot.

20/09/2025: State of the place was a bit gross. Toilet was feral and most tables needed clearing or a wipe. Service average, they got my drink wrong and seemed inconvenienced when I said I think I got the wrong drink. I think the poor staff were understaffed.

08/03/2026: Extremely disappointing experience. I came here with my family and ordered three burgers with fries and drinks, and the total came to €104.54, which is already an absurd price for what you get. The food itself was average at best and definitely not worth anything close to that amount. What shocked me the most was that when I asked for mayonnaise, they actually tried to charge extra for it. Charging customers over €100 for a simple meal and then trying to charge for a basic condiment like mayonnaise is simply ridiculous. This shows a complete lack of customer care and a very poor approach to hospitality. When you charge premium prices, you should at least offer decent service and small basics like sauces without nickel-and-diming customers. Unfortunately, this place feels more interested in squeezing every euro from customers than providing a good dining experience. I definitely would not recommend it and will not be coming back.

04/03/2026: The atmosphere was like a decent American diner chain. The food was more like a South-East Asian Spaghetti. Doesn‘t sound right, doesn‘t taste right.

28/06/2025: Haven’t had a Pizza Max in a long while but I am glad i tried it again, it was delicious including the sides and most importantly arrived piping hot. Definitely has improved and will return again 😀

28/02/2026: Hello, Today, at around 4:30 in the afternoon, I visited the Burger King on Grafton Street and I was horrified by what I witnessed. A staff member name SUN was shouting at his colleagues, aggressively yelling out order numbers, throwing burgers and tossing bags of fries around. This created a very unpleasant and hostile environment inside the restaurant. I ended up only collecting my food because I had already paid for it at the self-service kiosk. However, I felt uncomfortable staying inside and had to eat outside because the atmosphere inside was extremely negative due to this employee’s behaviour.

22/02/2026: I lowkey forgot his name but the security man with the long hair and two mink scarves is literally the best security man i have ever met . I have never felt safer in a burger king due to his presence. a big raise for this man!

25/11/2025: First thing they tell you is that if you want to order sandwich it will take 15 min with a face of not really wanting to offer it. They give you instructions . Not a pleasant customer service experience. Place looks very appealing from outside. The staff it’s not motivated to work I think. A bad experience. Coffee and food it’s very good

22/11/2025: Very well put together business. Delicious sausage rolls and scones. Wish we could've tried more. One of the best lattes I've had in a long time.
