The best restaurants in Dublin

18/01/2026: Had one of the best experiences of desi cuisine in Dublin. Thanks to Sowra who helped me have the dishes to suit the weather and keep me relaxed at the same time. The dahi samosa chat is a must try and the daal tadka too! Shoutout to the team for hosting us. Keep it up guys!

18/01/2026: Extremely disappointing experience. As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, there was a very unpleasant smell at the entrance, which already raised concerns about cleanliness, especially the bathrooms. We had a reservation for 1:00 PM, but once upstairs we were told the restaurant only opened at 1:30 PM, which made no sense. To make things worse, when we tried to order drinks, we were informed that drinks would only be available at 3:30 PM. This was not communicated anywhere in advance. This visit was meant to celebrate a special occasion — a birthday — and the lack of organization, poor communication, and overall unprofessionalism completely ruined the experience. Very frustrating, and unfortunately not a place we would recommend.

24/07/2026: Chicken is clean no dirty bits, chicken doesn't stink either. Very high quality ingredients and marinade. Chips are hot soft crispy fresh! Excellent customer service and Safraz is absolute gentleman - recommended us some good chicken. Thank you Chicken is marinated very well and steamed well before it goes onto the grill. 10/10 can't fault the food at all. Behind us sat some uni students who had finished eating & left the table with all their leftovers and packing -what an absolute mess, the bin was behind them (typical lazy student behavior) A family of like 8 entered the shop a few minutes later and a staff member came out and cleaned the table asap! What's a prompt good service. Very kind and very good hospitality. Cleanliness is their forte. Brilliant to see Will defo be coming again

21/07/2026: This restaurant is definitely not as good as it used to be. The chicken was dry, the service was slow, and there seemed to be little sense of urgency in satisfying customers. The pizza had very few toppings, and the niblets were undercooked and overly salty. Overall, I had a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was not worth the money.

20/03/2026: I am nothing but polite to staff, was a bit confused on my order as I had just looked at the just eat menu before. Asked for a chicken snack box but got confused with a tender box, and was nothing BUT polite about it. The girl was so rude and belittling. I then went to pay, and i hadnt realised a drink wasnt included with the snack box, and so i asked for a coke zero she acted absolutely bewildered that id asked that, then proceeds to cut me off and aay why hadnt I asked her for a deal, and then continues to laugh with her colleague AT ME infront of me. I am a young anxious person and just was trying to do something to overcome my anxiety and I just felt embarrassed. I ended uo saying I didnt want a drink and left and she made me feel like an absolute idiot. Never returning.

09/06/2026: Grew up beside it in corduff ,i was looking forward to going back after many years .My daughter booked the upstairs for few drinks after grandsons christening in corduff church facing leonards, saturday evening ,booking was free as 50+ were attending so that was a bonus, platters of chicken wings,cocktail sausages etc were served and much nicer than expected..excellent day ..then moved to centre seats when numbers dropped, major mistake as we could smell toilets more than beer,impossible for owner/staff not to smell -moved downstairs to main lounge around 9pm...i was then shocked how quite it was as i grew up there and it used to be a good busy spot...there was maybe 15 other people there on a saturday night..wow! Singer started singing- nothing but des o connor songs -way too loud,i walked outside and spent the remainder of the night outside front doors standing...if its not pulling in locals on a weekend night then something seriously wrong apart from that smell....staff were absolutely brilliant 10/10,they couldnt be faulted so thank you lads ...

20/05/2026: All set for 4 of us to go in for dinner to be (eventually) told it's only on Thursday Checked social media before going and nothing about it, we did see a small generic menu The staff I attempted to ask barely spoke English and took three attempts too get this information

Today several members couldnt/wouldn't assist no managers available Handier to other branches, as nearer.. 25/07/2026: Get the prawns and chips. The food is made fresh and it is really delicious. Great place to eat while your significant other shops the market.

08/06/2026: The chowder was not bad but not worth the price, and had no fish or shrimp at all, just potatoes, celery, and carrots.

17/05/2026: The food was really good. Unfortunately, the whole restaurant smelled of smoke whenever someone ordered the charcoal grill. In the end, our clothes smelled of smoke too, even though the table where the food was being grilled was at the other end of the restaurant.

29/03/2026: Went in at 2am not knowing what to expect, but it truly exceeded our expectations. Loved the sweet and sour crispy chicken and aromatic duck. Very great service also.

07/06/2026: The food is nice, the staff are friendly, and the location is excellent. The updated entrance now looks much better and gives the place a more welcoming feel. It’s a great little fish and chips takeaway.

09/04/2026: I've been visiting in james for last few weeks and staying in the hospital. I have had food from here a few times and it is wonderful. No complaints

19/04/2026: Very disappointing meal. We were there to celebrate a family milestone birthday. While the service is very friendly and efficient the food is mediocre and overpriced. We went with the set menu priced at €60 with an extra €15 for the steak (which was tough), we asked for chips instead of potatoes and were told we would be charged an extra €8 per head which brought it to over €80 for the set menu. Desserts are prepared in advance but very nice. Starter was nice too (prawn ravioli). Much better value off site in Blackrock or nearby areas. The room lacked atmosphere and didn’t feel like somewhere to linger.

01/01/2026: Got a quick bite. Bought a meal deal and went large on fries and drink. Bag of fries was tiny. When I queried the portion size, the manager said he doesn't control the portion size. Food was the cold side of warm.

04/11/2025: I have had chilly cheese bites in many burger king & there are really good. This one is horrible. They always give cheese bites that are made hours ago. Just reheat them and give. It was like stone. Absolute waste of money, The staff are friendly but food is horrible. Very disappointing

24/05/2026: The worst soft surf ice cream, one completely collapsed because the machine didn't have time to freeze it fully, also it was an odd beige colour. And the amount of sprinkles given was scant. Coconut latte was awful too.

08/07/2026: It’s impossible to order food from them at night. They take ages to prepare a simple Big Mac, even though we placed the order an hour before the scheduled delivery time. In the end, we had to drive there ourselves if we wanted our food. Ridiculous.

14/05/2026: I had a delivery come to my address and on my road there is 2 of the same number house but one is dublin 3 and one is dublin 5... my son was in the garden playing he has special needs and the delivery driver came to the gate and hands him the food and he comes into his mother and gives it to her... Mother then realises this isnt her immediately rings the company number on the receipt on the meal and the manager who cant barely speak a word of english couldnt understand that we didnt order the food and this was a mistake we asked could they come and get the food and they said yes but no one returned we then got a rude phone call from this manager basically accusing us of not giving back the food we have cameras on our house and this lady is off her trolly next time get the address right... clearly they were going to take the food from us and actually give it to who ever ordered it instead of remaking the order for health and safety reasons

05/05/2026: Delicious food. I've ordered several times now. Never actually ate in the restaurant itself only ordered home delivery. My usual is Yellow Thai curry with rice. My nephew always reminds me to MAKE SURE to order that amazing spice bag of theirs. ☺

12/07/2026: The only place I've been to in Ireland with something approaching American-style orange chicken, which I was severely missing. Price and portion size is good, location is extremely convenient if you're taking the Dart in and out of Dun Laoghaire.

30/06/2026: Staff extremely friendly, food tastes great especially their honey chicken and spice bag! Generous portions and fair pricing. Would recommend this takeaway!
