07/09/2026: Dear Insomnia Carpenterstown Team, I would like to take a moment to share how happy I am with the service at your Carpenterstown café. I am a regular customer and I am always so impressed by how friendly, kind and welcoming all the girls are. The café is always clean, tidy and beautifully looked after, which makes every visit a real pleasure. I usually come with my children, and I honestly feel that the half an hour we spend together there, surrounded by such lovely staff and a warm atmosphere, is my little daily moment of relaxation. Having my coffee every day in such a wonderful place has become something I genuinely look forward to. I would especially like to mention one wonderful member of your team, Aneta. She is always smiling, incredibly friendly and helpful, and she makes every visit even more enjoyable. Her kindness and positive attitude really make a difference. 28/05/2026: every time i eat here it is ridiculously expensive, drinks are either to syrup concentrated or too water diluted. today, my straw BROKE in half bc my peach iced tea was too soggy for it, it got moist. the cup lids don't fit very goodly. my tea was too sweet i have diabetes now. the hot food is NOT good and soggy and tastes like car fuel.

26/06/2026: Insomnia Coffee is a great spot for a variety of food, breakfast or lunch. We ended up eating there twice in 2 different locations. Pastries, hot food, made to order and allergy friendly. It was a pleasant surprise. GF, DF options.

05/06/2026: D'olier street at O'connell bridge- Please train your staff properly on how to make coffee and provide good customer service. Today I ordered a soya matcha with one shot of coffee, and unfortunately the drink was made incorrectly from start to finish. Before steaming the milk, the staff member did not purge the steam wand. She also appeared unfamiliar with basic milk-texturing technique and how to handle the milk jug correctly. I specifically requested the drink extra hot, but it was served cold. The drink was then assembled incorrectly, with the milk poured into the cup first, followed by the coffee and the matcha on top. As a paying customer, I expect a well-made drink and efficient service before heading to work. Instead, I received a disappointing coffee and very slow service, which completely ruined my morning. I would appreciate it if you could provide better training for your staff, both in barista skills and in listening carefully to customer requests. Attention to detail and good service make a huge difference to the customer experience.

08/08/2026: Called earlier after calling every other Chinese in blanch to get a shredded beef with sweet chilli sauce. Something that is not on the menu. Dragon in where the only ones to make this dish for me in there exact words we don't have on the menu but we will make it for you. Amazing service. I haven't had this dish since moving out of my home town ten years ago and while eating this it tasted exactly the same as I'd did ten years ago 10 out of 10 cannot fault the taste and can't fault the customer service very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

14/06/2026: Great location. Room was ok nothing special. Needs better signage as I walked past it a few times.

10/05/2026: Average rooms. Clean and tidy but small and basic. Customer service was friendly and kind. Waited nearly 15 minutes for reception because they were busy (understaffed maybe?) Location is very central however the hotel is above a techno nightclub that plays the same beat until 3am and it’s incredibly loud. You might as well go down to the bar because you’re not sleeping. Would not recommend for anyone who is trying to have a decent night sleep. If you’re here to party, get hammered and pass out, probably won’t bother you but if you enjoy sleeping, don’t stay here.

01/09/2026: Always good for a quick bite. Fresh ingredients, very rarely disappointed even when it's busy. Staff are always very engaged and always get your order right.

30/08/2026: It has gone down to one star only!!! Constantly missing items. Blocked toilets. People doing drugs in the toilets. Food quality is awful, facial hair etc...

16/08/2026: Just bought a latte from here, tasted like milk. We went back and told the Barista that it tasted like milk, she charged us extra and added 2 shots of coffee. Still tastes poor.

31/05/2026: Great food and great value the guys are really nice and friendly. Smoked Cod Fresh Cod Batter Burgers and proper Chips none of your French fries nonsense bliss after a rough day at work. Got a call to bring home dinner it never fails. You make the order you anticipate the food you are about to get. They say to you "salt and vinegar" you say "yes" you watch being magically wrapped and bagged. You carry the hot bag into the car tempted to open it on your way home just one chip but you dare not cause you never get the bag perfectly wrapped again and of course they inspect the bag and to take a chip pre plate is sacrilege. The welcome home is heart warming but you know its not for you it's for the bag with its magical captivating aroma and 5 star Michelin cuisine you are about to savour and binge watch Bob's Burgers on TV a perfect end to a tough day.

06/07/2026: Nice coffee, had a spicy chicken, bacon panini, which came with a bottle of water. They also do waffles and ice creams, plenty of seating as well. Nice spot on a hot day.

26/05/2026: I don’t even want to give this place a star. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk but was given regular milk instead. This wasn’t a preference, now feeling sick. Really disappointing experience.

17/06/2026: Would recommend to visit very nice food lots of choices does breakfast lunch and dessert 🍨 have a full breakfast very nice indeed very nice lady their helpful and very happy 5 stars 🌟

07/06/2026: I ordered a takeaway carvery last Sunday and the roast beef was like leather the veg was raw and I was charged €2•50extra for the gravy I was absolutely disgusted but I thought I'd give it another go so yesterday I ordered a takeaway full breakfast it was so cold I couldn't eat it everything about it was horrible and they gave me toast which was only toasted on 1 side and no butter the tea was like hot water with milk in it I will never go back there again

31/07/2026: Stopped here for petrol. Filled up, paid, but on returning to my car the vehicle in front with no driver sat empty. The vehicle behind pulled up close to my bumper and also tge driver disappeared, so I was blocked in, front and back while the drivers of the 2 cars obviously had gone in for a meal. After waiting for quite some time, I went to find the driver. The driver of the front car returned with food while I was talking to the garage attendant. Lesson: do not use this garage for petrol if you don't want to wait for others are maybe in there eating. It's a Takeaway, not a service station.

23/03/2026: Had been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally got around to it after a trip. Ordered a couple of starters, two mains, rice and naan - everything was super tasty. The website is really easy to use and gives great info. They even called after the order to let me know one dish wasn’t available and suggested a replacement - which ended up being delicious! The kids loved it, we loved it - definitely hit the spot. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Indian food 🙌

15/02/2026: Sadly, after having been happy customers of Spice Guru for almost 10 years, we have decided that we won't be ordering from them ever again. We have noticed a visible decay in quality in the last 4 orders delivered to us. Reviews of other customers seemed to back up our opinions. Tonight we decided to give it a last try but the food was the worst we ever got. We must have ordered Dal Tadka 50 times and it has never been so liquid, watered down, like it had not been fully cooked. Extremely disappointing. The cheese of the saag paneer tasted a bit acid and the vegetable pakora tasted stale.

10/09/2026: Been eating from here for as long as i can remember, before summer inn took over, and i have to say the past months, the quality of beef has dropped drastically, so so chewy. Rice is either amazing, or all clumped together curry sauce is amazing flavour wise, sometimes too watery, honestly just lacking consistency. still one of my favourite places but i've been let down recently.
