30/08/2026: The bouncer at the gate asked me very stupid questions. Where do I live? I told him I live in sords. He said " I have never seen you here". If he hasn't seen me here that means it could be my first or second time... He was racist, he used slurs, as if I was not white enough to go inside, such discrimination should be called out. Then he said go to "Old School House". It is the duty of the management to know how people are treated ..This place is disgusting, should be closed, if it cannot welcome people. Pathetic, disgraceful behavior from the bouncer. Please teach them some manners

23/08/2026: The security at this bar are a disgrace. We approached the door and before we even had a chance to show our IDs, they said with no provocation that our friend was “too drunk”, despite her showing no indication that she was. When we tried to politely say that this was not the case, the security man said “excuse me, I’m the security man, not you”. We were very cordial and tried to show our IDs regardless, and he just blatantly ignored us, letting other people in with barely a second glance, people who were very clearly more intoxicated than our friend. A shame considering the bar looked to be very lively. Our bad experience with this rude, power-tripping security will unfortunately make it unlikely that we will return.

01/09/2026: Unfortunately the Airport is very quiet update 1st February 2022 while passenger numbers are up at the airport it is still very quiet and flight numbers are down covid documents are still required as of 1st of April passenger numbers are rising as are flights problems with queuing to pass security checks so get there early seems quiter to day Christmas rush has started quite busy today busy for st Patrick's festival extremely busy at t1 departure area to day june 8th 2023 Airport is extremely busy ques for all bar and food outlets 35 minute's queuing for a beer extremely slow service Saturday 19th October 2024 airport is quite today queuing is moving well airport is quite today easy to clear security checks moving well today no problems

01/09/2026: A great airport, probably the largest in Europe. You don't have to take anything out of your hand luggage anymore, and you can carry liquids up to 2 liters. There are free water coolers inside. There is a convenient bus service to the center. The airport itself is huge, there are many places to sit, even lying down. Many cafes and shops, a lot of shops, it's a pity that almost nothing works at night. You can walk to the gate in 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival, passport control is a simple formality, they let you through without unnecessary checks, the queue was moving close.

12/09/2026: I went to Ruby’s yesterday and, unfortunately, it was a real disappointment. The service was good as always, but the food was simply unacceptable. I had recommended the restaurant to someone I know because I had spoken so highly of it, and I honestly felt embarrassed afterwards. The piece of meat we were served was an oddly shaped lump, full of tough gristle and extremely difficult to eat. It was simply very disappointing, especially considering the reputation of the restaurant. I really expected much better.

02/09/2026: A real gem in Swords, we meet for brunch. Pros, food good, great selection, service good, prices reasonable, can reserve a table for a group. Why not try it out. Staff are always helpful, they have high chairs for toddlers. Cons.....

18/07/2026: The friendliest staff you could ever meet, delicious food with generous portions(picture of a small breakfast)! Consistently great service. We absolutely love coming here and always look forward to meeting the staff as they would brighten up your day especially the lady with black glasses. Highly recommend!

30/06/2026: Small little cafe in the heart of Bray. It is a sister branch of the Gourmet Cafe in Dun Laoghaire. Same awesome menu, amazing staff and good prices. Do try their Big Breakfast and Club Sandwich. Staff is very helpful and really looks after you. Do give it a visit if you are in the area. Highly recommend.

18/08/2026: Went for breakfast. It was ok. Liked the prices , that you can order breakfast until noon , the free coffee refills , the online ordering allowing you to leave when finished rather than wait for the bill. Didn't like you have to pay for parking cash only no contactless. The atmosphere felt flat and the multicoloured drinks and food menus on all the tables looks tacky. The table full of plastic condiment bottles also looks cheap. The staff were friendly and no piped music was good , the pleasant silence was enjoyable. Overall it was ok .

14/08/2026: Extortionate delivery fees aside, tried to order from this place on two separate occasions, both times the order was cancelled with no reason given.

24/08/2026: Just moved back to Swords after a few years away and very disappointed with what I received from my old "go to" pizza joint. After paying €21 and waiting over and hour and ten minutes I was handed this awful "pizza". It was very thin, extremely dry and salty. The texture of the "Sourdough" was honestly as if a cheap frozen pizza has been microwaved. With over 100 places to choose from on just eat for this area standards would need to improve drastically here.

03/06/2026: I'm deeply saddened by the news of the Betsy's closure, swords mainstreet won't be the same without it.

25/05/2026: We booked our engagement party at The Betsy in Swords and unfortunately the entire experience was stressful from beginning to end. When we first visited the venue, the manager clearly told us that we could bring decorations, sweets and even a few bottles of prosecco for a toast. However, when I later emailed to confirm everything in writing, Caroline replied saying that prosecco was not allowed and that parts of our decoration setup were also not allowed. We returned to the venue to clarify things and honestly, that should have been the moment we cancelled. The same manager became extremely passive aggressive and unhelpful. Unfortunately, invitations had already been sent and we were already under pressure trying to organise everything, so we just accepted the changes and moved forward after finally getting approval for our save-the-date decoration setup. Sadly, the actual party was even worse. We booked “Betsy Below” because we were specifically told there would be background music until the DJ arrived later, which sounded perfect for an engagement party where people could eat, talk and socialise comfortably. Instead, when we arrived at 7:10pm, the music was unbelievably loud — louder than many nightclubs. Nobody could properly speak to each other. We had around 70 guests sharing the space with another smaller party, and many people were visibly uncomfortable because of the volume. I politely asked the barman if the music could be lowered slightly just until the food service or DJ started. His response was incredibly rude. He refused immediately and said, “This is not a private party.” That response was unnecessary and unprofessional, especially considering that the majority of people in that area were our guests. To make things worse, none of the decorations or sweets had been set up, despite being told beforehand that the staff would handle the setup if we delivered everything earlier in the day. When we arrived, everything was still sitting inside boxes. Overall, the customer service was honestly shocking: poor communication, rude staff, lack of organisation and zero care for the client experience. Do not be fooled by how aesthetically nice the venue looks online or in person. The venue may look beautiful, but when it comes to customer care, professionalism and organisation, the experience was extremely disappointing. If you are planning any important event there, make sure EVERYTHING is confirmed in writing beforehand

05/07/2026: Good location on the main street very helpful staff good selection of coffee n treats. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.

22/06/2026: Cool non chain coffee shop on Swords main street excellent coffee beans / coffees and bites. Best and the most fresh peanut butter cup I've ever had!
