Chez Max
Dublin
18/10/2025: Great place! I had a wonderful evening at this French restaurant in Dublin. Everything was really good: the dishes were tasty, well presented, and with that little "je ne sais quoi" that reminds us of France. The staff was simply amazing: welcoming, attentive, smiling... we immediately felt at ease. And the best part: the prices are very affordable, especially for the quality offered. I highly recommend it!
18/09/2025: Food was amazing... great location... service terrific. Prices still reasonable for Dublin..

One Pico
Dublin
31/10/2025: Great diner, great staff (merci Eva)! The only minus point would be the noise level, quite loud but that may be the standard in Ireland.
Great wine card also
27/10/2025: The food is delicious and the pre-theatre menu is well priced with an adequate range of choices. The younger staff are nice but not perfectly trained, they tried set down our starters before we had moved our bread plates (perhaps it bad for moving our bread plates from the side to directly in front of us 🤷🏻♀️), they did not bring the bill when asked. However the older more experienced staff were great, attentive, friendly and helpful. As you would expect with high cuisine portions are a little small but exquisitely tasty.

Le Petit Breton
Dublin
13/11/2025: Over priced and staff verge on rude
06/11/2025: Food was good . Wait staff should be more attentive..didn't ask how I was doing, plates were taken away late and at that time I should have been asked if I cared for another wine.
I had the salmon crepe..very good and large. I would have shared and then had a sweet crepe but I was alone.
Place is worth a try.

l'Gueuleton
Dublin
10/11/2025: it's loud, it stinks, the service is deplorable, most lazy and rude staff I've ever seen... Seriously, they should go find other jobs because they're not good at this one. They say they sell foie gras but I don't know what the f that was... the 4 star reviews are possibly paid for or jut from friends, because there's no way anyone neutral would give them even three stars.
I can not even imagine the hygiene in the Kitchen but seeing how everything else was, I'm just surprised I didn't leave with food poisoning. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE.
09/11/2025: Lovely experience and food. Good size portions and allergies catered for

Boeuf
Dublin
04/11/2025: Excellent value for money; it's incredible to find a set menu for €15 in Dublin. The food was delicious, and water was free. The decor is lovely, with a vintage feel. The waiter who served us was Mexican and incredibly friendly. Highly recommended.
01/11/2025: A super delicious steak at an extremely fair price, the broccoli and beans as a side dish were also cooked to perfection... The noise level was a bit high, but the food more than made up for it!

Voici
Dublin
30/09/2025: I visited Voici Crêperie and tried the French toast as well as a crêpe with almonds and vanilla ice cream. Both were delicious, and what makes this place stand out is that they serve coffee and desserts until late, plus they also have a wine bar. I think that’s a brilliant business strategy, especially considering that Dublin doesn’t have many cafés open late at night. Another detail that makes a big difference is the flour they bring in directly from France, which gives the crêpes a truly distinctive flavor. On top of that, the place has a lovely vibe and cozy décor, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the experience. Overall, it’s a spot that combines quality ingredients with a smart concept, making it well worth a visit.
28/09/2025: We entered, queuing for good few minutes, waiting for a free table. The woman that was already sitting upstairs came down, walk pass us and ask to reserve the next free table downstairs (the couple from that table was just about to leave). I asked the waitress how is it possible to just walk around us and reserve the table while we are queuing (for a while, not being approached by anyone except greeted at the entrance), and we are waiting for that table!? The waitress was convincing me she did it earlier even though we clearly saw the women (rude, disrespectful women) doing it just at that moment! So clearly bad experience with no so skilled waitress, unable to manage a simple sitting area! Not a type of the place we'll be back to even try again! Shame

Roly's Bistro
Dublin
25/10/2025: Been to Rolys twice this week. It's always excellent. The early bird menu in the terrace area is really good value because the food is top quality. One of the best restaurants in Dublin in my opinion.
23/10/2025: Very pretentious, value paid to food/drink was not worth it.
Just felt like we really should have walked on by!!
More info.
Our choice that night was the bridge, very busy probably an hour to get in or Rolys. No lineup!!
Got ignored at the entrance for 5 minutes with no one there.
Then finally to a table and there we sat. Now with pre dinner drink it would've been ok but that was not offered as the table beside us who came in after us was served.
At that point I guess I should've said something but didn't as the game was on now!
Finally after 15 minutes we were brought menus and asked about drinks which we ordered. Then...waited. Finally came.
Order dinner and server acted like he didn't care, didn't seem to know what anything really was. So we ordered and hoped for the best.
It's been 2 months so I don't remember what we had but it wasn't anything memorable.
Even getting the bill was a chore.
Just overall a sad tourist experience at a place highly highly recommended by our tour guide. Maybe it's just us but....

The French Paradox
Dublin
