The best restaurants in Galway

02/05/2025: Went in when the door was open and no staff to be seen. Google mentioned that the cafe was open until 4pm, and this was 3pm. Eventually when someone appeared, she was very rude and seemed affronted that I came in to the cafe. The door was wedged open and music playing loudly inside and there was still someone sitting at a table having coffee. Would not go back if that’s the reception and matches with most of the reviews here.

21/03/2025: We dined in for breakfast with some work colleagues and upon paying the waitress was annoyed and rolled her eyes when a receipt was requested and continued to tap her nails on the counter when entering email for receipt. A bit of courtesy and politeness isn't hard.

02/07/2025: Paid €4.50 for an iced coffee. When I asked for a straw one of the servers was about to hand me one. However the other server quickly took it out of her hand and said we don't have any. She then began to lecture me about the environment despite it being paper. I asked if I needed to pay extra. She then said sure, €2. So I handed it over for my straw. I paid €6.50 for a coffee. Next time I'll be going to insomnia next door. They're much nicer there.

28/06/2025: The coffee machine wasn’t working and the ginger iced tea tasted like flavored water.

06/06/2025: I placed an order from Domino’s to my workplace, a studio where I was actively working and had clients inside. When the delivery driver arrived, he called me from the parking lot and told me to come outside to pick it up. I explained that I couldn’t leave my workplace because I had customers and I specifically ordered delivery to the door. Still, he refused to come in and insisted I had to go to the car “because that’s how they always do it.” Let me be clear, I was at work, doing my job, and I expect the delivery driver to do theirs. Instead, the driver took the order back, and shortly after that, I got a call from customer service trying to convince me that the customer is always expected to go outside. That’s just ridiculous. I would like to pay for delivery, not for a lecture or a parking lot pickup. Terrible customer service, poor professionalism, and zero accountability. Never ordering again.

20/04/2025: Bad places to order. Staff does not care at all about what they are giving out also rude and unfriendly.. after a couple times of getting dry overdone pizza and cinnamon buns which supposed to be with chocolate on top !without any chocolate at all! will no longer order anything from there and would suggest to avoid it at any cost. 👎🏻

26/04/2025: Ordered online on the 13th of April - got no confirmation email but didn’t think much of it went to collect food about 20mins later and the place was closed……it was a Sunday and around 5:30/6pm frustrating but what’s worst is we got charged for the food ordered even though they were not open!!!!

02/04/2025: Obviously closed before 8.40 on a Wednesday night as they kept hanging up on my call. All I wanted was a bag of chips 😅

17/05/2025: It's 2025, there should not be any restaurants that are cash only. If you're cash only, then you must be a fake business. Don't order from here

26/06/2025: Awful. The garlic naan didn’t taste like nans. The chicken tikka masala was way way way too sugary. The vegetable curry was much too spicey even though I chose mild. We could hardly eat a few spoonfuls. Also it was supposed to arrive at 19:35 max and it arrived at 20:05. The restaurant was a pain in the a** to call. They almost never answer the phone. Lesson learned : when choosing Uber Eats delivery, always check the reviews on google. Possibly the worst meal in my life. I was so hungry, I had to eat my baby’s nighttime instant oat meal.

26/06/2025: Lovely food we have ordered from Galway Tandori Butter chiken and biryani’s very testy bigger portion economical price fast delivery 🚚

17/07/2025: Food was great. Staff were good craic. Price to experience was sublime.

18/06/2025: Left notes on my order, they were ignored, rang the establishment to try get some help and got none.

28/04/2025: As always, I recommend Subway, delicious

16/06/2025: Very poor, robotic service.I even have to pay for the dip and then remind them to include it in the box.lol

05/06/2025: Denied entry and service due to cleaning. Not a 24 hour store.
