The best restaurants in Galway

05/03/2025: Hi, I have coeliac disease, so I ordered a gluten-free pizza from Four Star Pizza. I was told that they could offer me that food but ...... Unfortunately, the staff were not careful and there was cross-contamination which made me sick that day. The next day, when I asked for a complaint form, I was told there was none available. I strongly advise anyone with dietary restrictions to be very careful if they choose to dine here.

15/03/2025: You shoud hire better your bouncer. I was refused for no reasons, I am not drunk, in fact I am perfectly writing this review right now. I am just tired for the flight, and also English is not my mother tongue: so I am not perfectly fluent. Really welcoming place and city. To avoid.

08/01/2025: My husband went there about an hour ago (we eat in Papa Rich for years btw) this one was just conveniently located on our way home, anyway go figure : we ordered 2 duck with Hoisin sauce & asked for half chips half boiled rice (we were told this could not be done ?!! I mean 1 portion of rice & 1 portion of chips to take away could not be done ?!! What a heck?! We had to buy 2 boiled rice & one extra portion of chips when for yrs we have ordered half & half!! Not impressed & the duck meat wasn’t as much as it used to be either

19/12/2024: Got a Haircut here yesterday, and it was a terrible decision. The guy finished the entire thing in 12 minutes, which doesn't sound like long, but it gave him just enough time to butcher my hair. No care or attention put into it. If you don't have time for a walk-in, that's fine but I'd rather not pay for a trim and come out looking like I got into a fight with a lawnmore.

19/11/2024: Disappointing. Tasty paninis removed - replaced by weird sandwiches. Coffee tasty and usual inflated price.

21/12/2024: DO NOT ORDER HERE. The absolute worst Chinese experience I could ask for. Did not answer the phone and didn’t deliver what I asked for. Horrible service and worse food. Do not go here.

13/02/2025: So I had ordered online for the food to be delivered to my address. The food is good and I am regular customer. But here are all the issues. But the app is horrible. I entered the address manually but it automatically changed the address to some Random location in Tuam . After calling the place up and raising the issue, the lady from the restaurant that took the call was very reluctant and did not show any concern towards it. She simply said that the driver will take care of it. Which did not happen at all, the driver just took the wrong address. After a while I was notified that the food was delivered. When I called and asked what is even going on, I get a response that...yeah I guess it went to wrong address. She told me that I could either get a refund or go to that location and get the food (in a very mocking and rude way). After which she was not ready to respond anymore. I ended up taking the refund (which will come back to me after 5 days). This is the most unprofessional service that I have ever experienced. The app is absolutely useless, the customer service does everything else expect what they are supposed to do, the drivers do not do the basic thing of verifying the address and the Customer service.....this lady has no right to work in that place.....she does not have any basic manners. And I will not stop with a review, expect a visit from me soon.....and I will make sure it's fixed.

20/12/2024: Waiting for ages my order and driver said that my eircode is wrong. But I have ordered million times from this restaurant and was no problem with the address. Driver returned my order to the restaurant and they said that that refused to refund and it was my fault. The worst service on Galway City

28/11/2024: The cashier displaying unnecessary attitude and a lack of interest to work. It feels really unpleasant to buy drinks or food and be treated as if she’s doing us a favour.

06/11/2024: I had a very disappointing experience at the store today. When buying food, the cashier didn't offer a bag, but I asked for one at the end of the purchase (which I don't see as an issue—it's completely valid for me to ask). She gave me a small bag with obvious reluctance. When I returned it because my meal didn't fit, she asked if I wanted a larger one, and upon saying yes, she gave it to me again with the same unwillingness. From the moment of payment, she showed a visibly negative attitude, making faces and gestures that made it clear she had no interest in working. I wasn't well served and, honestly, I don't intend to return. I understand everyone has bad days, but what's unacceptable is transferring that negativity to customers. If there's no willingness to work, they should leave the position for someone more committed and polite.

18/03/2025: Brutal. No service at all and zero delivery. Waited 1.5 hours for nothing...avoid and spend your money elsewhere. They even had the cheek to charge me for zero order.

24/02/2025: Home delivery order that arrived super punctual. The food was well cooked and the portions were a good size.

03/04/2025: staff members approach of behaviour is really low class. no manners when speak to the customers while taking order. never getting food ever again any more....

07/04/2025: Not recommend at all !! Ordered chicken vandaloo it was just crushed chillies in curry - no flavor just red curry with chillies floating in it. When politely asked the staff to look into it - absolutely no fcuks given and hung up the call. Had to gulp down milk to stop the burning spicy sensation. Please teach your staff some manners and stop serving such mess under the pretext of food and stop playing with people's gut health.
