The best restaurants in Galway

07/08/2025: The gym is a very unpleasant place. It’s very messy, and has no A/C or appropriate ventilation. The air feels unbreathable and whenever the temperature is slightly higher it’s just impossible to workout. They only have one fan and it’s stationed outside the main workout area for some reason. Edit: there was no AC on in the main gym area upstairs and when I asked the staff to turn it on they said there was no AC available

29/07/2025: AVOID! It's not clean, staff are unfriendly and defensive when you complain. Just look at some of the dreadful responses to reviews on here! Gym floor very untidy and not clean and rarely any staff around. Machine seats ripped and many not working properly. Every bathroom has mould around sinks etc. Hairs in all showers, no soap, no moisturiser, no spinner for swim trunks. Lack of hooks in changing rooms. Over subscribed and used mainly by overseas students probably because they get a heavy discount. Booking system haphazard. Lockers not cleaned, swimming pool not clean with discoloured tiles and always foreign objects in water. Sauna and steam smell bad and neither hot enough. Disgrace for a university gym, go elsewhere, even Leisureland is better

19/08/2025: Went to the “drive through” so far it’s not set up great but will give it time. The açai bowls are so overpriced and not the best out there, the coffee is very poor, tasteless really, just tastes like hot milk.

17/08/2025: Scoopable, generic crud in a plastic bowl served from a tin shed surrounded by AstroTurf.

16/06/2025: Discovered this place recently. Absolutley love it! Food is great. Service is quick and delivery guys are very polite and pleasant. My new fave Chinese!!!

04/05/2025: Food is always fresh and tasty , best chicken curry in Galway. They do great kids pizza, my boys love them. Portions are generous. Ribs and wings are good as well.

24/08/2025: Was a very nice pizza but I ordered 3x extra Parmesan on it and they forgot it :(

05/08/2025: Our order took 2hrs to arrive. Extremely overpriced. Food was cold and taste awful. Wouldn't recommend at all. Stay away.

08/08/2025: No brown sugar. Coffee ok but overpriced. Don't care for the shop. Grab a poor coffee and go.

06/08/2025: When I came in here to pick up my granddaughters communion cake I thanked the man at the till. He then stated that I shouldn't be so fast to assume someone's gender. I was surprised to hear this from a middle aged Irish man. When I said I'd like to speak to someone in charge as I paid a lot for the cake and deserve respect. He then did a twirl and said yeah that would be me 👍🏻 He then stated he was the best accountant wearing tights in the West of Ireland.

23/05/2025: this place is decorated beautifully but the bartender was a little interesting. In our group two people order cocktails and the bartender told us they would take a bit because they had to be made individually which is definitely standard and we were fine with it. The menu offers various mocktails and one of them being a mojito. when one of us ordered one she said that a mojito mocktail is impossible to make even thought is was on the menu. when she was making the drinks she kept complaining about how the bar wasn’t properly set up. the atmosphere was great but I don’t believe the bartender wanted to be there quite frankly.

09/07/2025: We didn't actually eat at poppyseed because I have dietary issues and all sandwiches were made up,I asked if I could get something made up and was told we don't make sandwiches here,that's actually the second time that has happened to me here,so I'm presuming if you can't eat what's on offer poppyseed aren't interested in your custom.I won't be going to this place again, it was the poppyseed in galway crystal building it looked beautiful but sadly very rude staff.

09/08/2025: Never eating there again!!! ordered beef burger and chips and chicken fillet burger. Chips were raw but burnt, found HAIR in the food!!! Guy took €4 out of the cash register and put it into my hand saying thats for the chips!!!!! No sorry, no apologies, nothing. Left the cash on the counter and just left the place. DO NOT EAT THERE!!!!

27/07/2025: If you want a nice fish and chips by the sea don't bother. Chips were fresh but they were dry, hard and unsalted. Not worth 5 euro.

31/08/2025: The staff is very rude and foul-mouthed, they don't respect you as a customer. If you ask for large chicken wings, they charge you the large price and give you a small one. If you ask for a pizza with pepperoni, you can't find more than 4 pepperoni rings.

29/08/2025: Food was banging, and the staff are so friendly would recommend!!
