The best restaurants in Galway

07/09/2025: We have never had a bad meal here. The salmon is great, the drinks are great, the views are great.

01/09/2025: I went for a meal with my girlfriend on 31st of August. The meal was absolutely fantastic, the service was very very good. I had mentioned it was my girlfriend's birthday on the reservation and we got 2 complimentary drinks and our dessert came out with a candle and a happy birthday note in chocolate on the plate. I will definitely come back again with friends and family.

23/08/2025: This used to be a nice place but has gone way downhill. From entering you can tell the place needs to be cleaned, painted, maintained. The service was fast but the food was inedible, far too sweet, I couldn't manage more than 2 spoons. My 4 year old ate a good bit of chicken and then felt sick the rest of the day. It's a shame such a nice location should offer a better experience

23/08/2025: To begin with, on the map the establishment is located away from the main complex, in reality it is at the entrance to the oceanarium, and the others are to the right in the same building. First, the heavy smell got to me already at the entrance. The second floor did not improve the situation. The food is ordinary. The only plus is the location. There are enough more interesting offers nearby and around the corner

08/09/2025: We ordered take away with a raisin swirl and a blueberry muffin. We found the blueberry muffin to be excellent with loads of blueberries, a crumb topping and not too sweet. The raisin swirl on the other hand tasted odd and my guess is that it’s made with margarine or another cheap vegetable oil. The crust was not flakey as you would expect with real butter. Prices were reasonable and I definitely recommend the muffins.

27/08/2025: I'm not sure what to make of this place. Bakery items were lovely and there was a nice range of other food options. BUT the service staff were unfriendly and too busy chatting to each other to care.

03/07/2025: Absolutely amazing food. I ordered a 1/2 pounder, which was delicious along with a Gujan wrap and garlic,cheese chips. Everything was delicious, perfect, and exquisite. And relatively affordable price!!! Loved it. Thank you 🫡

19/09/2025: Was gagging for a Sunday carvery for a while and found that the Clybaun have one! The hotel itself is gorgeous inside and their conservatory eating area is beautiful. We got two plates for around €18 each with a variety of three meats, potatoes, veg, Yorkshire etc. The food was fab it really hit the spot. Would definitely go back

27/07/2025: The food was good it was warm and seasoned well 4/5 .The staff were easy and helpful 5/5.The atmosphere was not loud but not quite lacking a bit of music 4/5.

24/04/2025: The best thing about the Office is its Staff..however they are treated appallingly by the manqger who steals wages from his staff..treats them very unfairly. He msy not even have bar licence. He does not deserve to have that position. Very Narcarsistic man

02/09/2025: We stayed at the Harbour hotel next door and didn’t even check the rating of the place when we went there. I am surprised by this rating. The food was good. The breakfast is a buffet style and very decent.

20/05/2025: Just don't order the wings. They are basically pigeon wings with mayo, not bleu cheese as stated. However, the hotel is wonderful and the chowder was very good. The breakfast is decent. But get there early, for they run out of potatoes and eggs. You really don't want to miss the eggs; they're perfect.

05/09/2025: It says that it closes at 4pm but everything taken from shelves at 3:10. They may aswell say they close at 3pm if that's the case.

18/08/2025: Although I would have preferred a clay pot to a disposable one, the place was welcoming and economical...and had the cutest Irish-speaking waiter on the Strand Road👌🫡

22/10/2025: Very poor service!! I have waited over 2 hours for Delivery From the Galway city Giovanni's.. will never order delivery again from them, we usually order from Oranmore and the food is amazing and so fresh. They only take cash, but you can pay by card on their website.

20/10/2025: I had the "Chicken Burger Meal" at Giovanni's, and I have to say, it was absolutely AMAZING! The burger was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the fries were fresh and crispy. A cold can of soda rounded it all off perfectly. I haven't had such good food in a long time. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and filling meal in Galway. I will definitely be back!

15/10/2025: Very dirty, i spotted others cleaning their own tables and i followed suit. Food and service as expected..

12/10/2025: Dont normally write reviews but i had a meal yesterday in Supermacs newcastle rd, Galway. I ordered the chicken breast sandwich meal. Very disappointing, chicken was dry and luke warm. Used the toilets after. Only Cubical was out of order. Urinals and floor didn't look like the were cleaned properly for some time. I have been to other supermac were the standards are alot better making this place a poor reflection on the supermac chain.

10/07/2025: Bland food for €7-9 is just not worth it. Their options are creative and you get excited when you see the menu but it's instant disappointment.

22/09/2025: Ordered on the website at 12.30pm.... confirmed my order straight away- 30mins wait. I am still sitting here 2 hours later. No courtesy call to let me know my food wasnt coming is ridiculous. Dont offer a service you cannot provide.

09/05/2025: Ok food (reason i'm giving more than 1 star) reasonably priced and clean. However the service I got was absolutely awful. I got the full irish which you get a free tee/coffee with. Personally I can't have caffeine (medical reasons), therefore I asked for a decaf coffee. Yes I could just ask for a hot chocolate or something however i thought for something different would be nice. I made it very clear to the waitress atleast twice of my order at the till, which seemed ok so I sat and waited. Fast forward 10 or 15 minutes later and she came with my cappuccino. I asked, to double check, if it's decaf to which she slowly said no. I then (again) explained i can't have caffeine and would like a decaf coffee instead. As she was taking it away she HUFFED as if it was all my fault. My friend noticed she wasn't writing anything down while ordering, and the restaurant was fair quite at the time (that said she did seem to be the only one behind the till.) God knows if I had another food intolerance. Again a few minutes passed and this other waiter came with a cappuccino. I asked if its decaf which he said yes to (this turned out to be my friend's which I didnt know we got the same drink lol). A few seconds later the same lady came out with my coffee. I again questioned if it was decaf where she said yes. At this point I gave it to my boyfriend as I felt couldn't trust them. After drinking it he said there's 100% caffeine in there (I definitely felt more awake after a few sips myself) The waitress seemed to not give a toss about being there. What makes it angry is the way she dealt with the situation. I also work in hospitality (including being a barista at times), and I myself had times where I might make a mistake. However I'd always rectify them and show good customer service. She literally lied to me about what type of coffee it was and made me feel bad for asking to send it back. The manegers really have to give their employees a customer service crash course or something Great start to the day 😃 A few extra points: at first I ordered a mocha, however was charged €12 when the menu said €11.50. When I asked about this she said the mocha was an extra 50 cents. She never said that prior nor as far as I could tell it said on the menu. Also the food came before the drinks, which i thought was a bit weird as usually its the other way around. These weren't not that much of a deal however, just thought I'll point these out aswell.

12/09/2025: Initially this used to my favourite restaurant , past few months the taste is not at all good, all the recipes are just like that in taste, it’s not cooked good. Really upsetting. Even you can see that head of the onion in the food. Never saw anyone including this part of onion in food!
