16/02/2026: Ordered for delivery and it was meant to arrive at 20:30, it’s now 21:30 and the restaurant won’t answer any of my calls, please tell me my food is almost here???!!! Edit: our food came at 21:50: was about to cycle to the restaurant to see what the story was when it arrived. Awful experience to have. If the delivery is going to be over an hour late, at least call/connect your phone lines or at least offer any sort of apology/discount.

04/10/2025: Spent the afternoon with a group a fiends watching the football, was then told to leave as was being too loud. Which was totally uncalled for after spending over €500 behind the bar. As we left we were cheered by the staff, absolutely pathetic

03/09/2025: The woman stationed behind the counter exhibited a rather discourteous demeanor, suggesting a possible aversion to tourists. Upon placing my order for a pint, she appeared visibly perturbed, as though my presence was an inconvenience. When she eventually delivered the drink, I expressed my gratitude, yet received no response or acknowledgment in return. While it’s understandable that one may not particularly enjoy interacting with tourists, such encounters are an inherent aspect of working in a public house. That said, the overall ambiance and quality of the pour were commendable.

06/03/2026: Best value mini breakfast I've had in years. Big portions and a big pot of tea. Well done on value for money.

02/02/2026: Great store with great selection of Irish food products. Excellent staff and customer service. The lunch deli counter has been my regular Galway lunch sandwich spot for a few years now.

29/12/2025: I’m new to the city, but McCambridge’s already feels like it’s going to be one of my favourite spots. Amazing deli and grocery selection, great quality produce and local treats—and the café upstairs is a lovely bonus. Always worth a visit.

17/02/2026: Quality of food was not great. Asked for doner meat in wrap instead got chicken. Dry and felt owners are not putting any effort. Seemed to spend more time talking to each other than working. Anyways there are better options around Galway now since it’s not the only kebab place here anymore.

01/02/2026: The döner kebab wasn't very good for me. The chicken döner looked good. The staff were polite and courteous.

24/02/2026: Was a walk in on a Sunday afternoon, food came out so quick and was delicious. Ordered beef black bean & Vietnamese spicy noodle broth. View was really nice and you could look out onto the sea. Restaurant got quite busy after a while and the staff were great!

19/01/2026: We went here yesterday group of 20 people to celebrate my birthday, and it was honestly disappointing. We used to come here before and had good experiences, but both the service and the food have gone downhill. The worse part was the staff. They were very impatient and were very rude whenever we asked for anything. They were also constantly looking at us, and whispering to each other’s ears which was very unprofessional and made us feel like they were talking about us. On top of that, we didn’t even receive what we ordered, we were brought different items instead. From the moment we arrived until we left, we didn’t feel welcomed at all. We definitely won’t be returning

17/11/2025: I'd like to point out that my review refers only to the Mocha Beans guesthouse, which is located above the bar. My room was very small, with a bulky closet. Luckily, I didn't have a large suitcase, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to open it. The mattress is old and sagging, with springs that hurt my back. There are no electrical outlets in the bathroom, and to figure out how to use the shower, I had to call the owner because I wasn't told there was a button outside the bathroom to activate it. There's essentially no reception, and you're given an access code for the main door, which is the same for the room. I texted the owner several times in the days leading up to my stay to ask if it was possible to check in at 11/11:30 in the morning instead of 2:00 PM. He never answered, and when I called him after arriving, he showed up, saying the room was still occupied and that I had to return at 2:00 PM. I told him about my messages and that I hadn't received a response, but he showed no interest. Once I returned at 2:00 PM, I had to wait on the stairs because the cleaning lady hadn't finished. I had to ask for a hairdryer because there wasn't one in the room. I wasn't provided with a shower mat, and I only had a face towel and a large one. I struggled to sleep that night because of the mattress, and in the morning I woke up around 6:00 AM (the only window in the room is on the ceiling and can't be opened because it's too high, and there's no curtain). For what I paid, I didn't receive good service, and even the lady who prepared the room seemed very cold; she didn't ask if I needed anything. The cleanliness was passable. The only advantage is that it's twenty minutes from the city center. I definitely won't be returning.

19/10/2025: There is no check in as such for this bedroom so I can't rate service really. The room itself is clean and comfortable and an adequate size but there is nowhere to store clothes. There isn't enough room for a wardrobe. We were in room number 4 and the shower room isnt exactly ensuite but almost. It's opposite the room on a tiny off side corridor only for room 4. The shower room is spotless nicely tiled and the shower is lovely. There is no plug for the basin. There's no hair dryer or iron. The rooms are above a cafe so I think breakfast should be included. It is an easy walk into the centre of Galway city so perfectly situated.

30/01/2026: The food is honestly delicious. What I liked most about this place is how incredibly friendly the staff are, starting from the warm welcome at the till. In particular, there is a tall gentleman who wears glasses i believe he is the manager. I noticed how warmly he welcomes customers and how he is on top of everything. Truly the right person in the right position

30/12/2025: Ordered 4 medium pizzas. They arrived 30 minutes late from the time given, were lukewarm, and we're a smaller size than were paid for. Tried phoning the restaurant multiple times and each times was hung up on.

08/03/2026: Takeaway pizza. Everything was ok. Very busy so must be doing well

22/02/2026: Horrible dirty tables Ketchup self-serve area disgusting unhygienic Service slow and make you feel like your disturbing them from doing nothing Toilets stinking and dirty Chicken on the bone dry and looked like it was knocked down and reversed over Chicken strips ok Chips undercooked and cold cheese didnt even melt on them I like supermacs but definitely wont return to this branch

11/08/2025: Got the train to Dublin during the week and was delighted to get 2 coffees from Vlad in the station , 7am and they were the only place open.. Happy days
